Salmos 132

1 Lembra-te, Senhor, de David, e de todas as suas afflicções.

A Song of Ascents. LORD, remember for David all his affliction;

2 Como jurou ao Senhor, e fez votos ao poderoso de Jacob, dizendo:

How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob:

3 Certamente que não entrarei na tenda de minha casa, nem subirei ao leito da minha cama.

Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

4 Não darei somno aos meus olhos, nem adormecimento ás minhas pestanas,

I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids;

5 Emquanto não achar logar para o Senhor, uma morada para o Poderoso de Jacob.

Until I find out a place for the LORD, a tabernacle for the Mighty One of Jacob.

6 Eis que ouvimos fallar d'ella em Ephrata, e a achámos no campo do bosque.

Lo, we heard of it in Ephrathah: we found it in the field of the wood.

7 Entraremos nos seus tabernaculos: prostrar-nos-hemos ante o escabello de seus pés.

We will go into his tabernacles; we will worship at his footstool.

8 Levanta-te, Senhor, no teu repouso, tu e a arca da tua força.

Arise, O LORD, into thy resting place; thou, and the ark of thy strength.

9 Vistam-se os teus sacerdotes de justiça, e alegrem-se os teus sanctos.

Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

10 Por amor de David, teu servo, não faças virar o rosto do teu ungido.

For thy servant David’s sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.

11 O Senhor jurou na verdade a David: não se apartará d'ella: Do fructo do teu ventre porei sobre o teu throno.

The LORD hath sworn unto David in truth; he will not turn from it: of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

12 Se os teus filhos guardarem o meu concerto, e os meus testemunhos, que eu lhes hei de ensinar, tambem os seus filhos se assentarão perpetuamente no teu throno.

If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children also shall sit upon thy throne for evermore.

13 Porque o Senhor elegeu a Sião; desejou-a para a sua habitação, dizendo:

For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

14 Este é o meu repouso para sempre: aqui habitarei, pois o desejei.

This is my resting place for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

15 Abençoarei abundantemente o seu mantimento; fartarei de pão os seus necessitados.

I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16 Vestirei os seus sacerdotes de salvação, e os seus sanctos saltarão de prazer.

Her priests also will I clothe with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

17 Ali farei brotar a força de David: preparei uma lampada para o meu ungido.

There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

18 Vestirei os seus inimigos de confusão; mas sobre elle florescerá a sua corôa.

His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
