Salmos 116

1 Amo ao Senhor, porque elle ouviu a minha voz e a minha supplica.

I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my supplications.

2 Porque inclinou a mim os seus ouvidos; portanto o invocarei emquanto viver.

Because he has inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

3 Os cordeis da morte me cercaram, e angustias do inferno se apoderaram de mim: encontrei aperto e tristeza. (Sheol h7585)

The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell got hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)

4 Então invoquei o nome do Senhor, dizendo: Ó Senhor, livra a minha alma.

Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I plead to you, deliver my soul.

5 Piedoso é o Senhor e justo: o nosso Deus tem misericordia.

Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

6 O Senhor guarda aos simplices: fui abatido, mas elle me livrou.

The LORD perserves the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

7 Alma minha, volta para o teu repouso, pois o Senhor te fez bem.

Return unto your rest, O my soul; for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.

8 Porque tu, Senhor, livraste a minha alma da morte, os meus olhos das lagrimas, e os meus pés da queda.

For you have delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

9 Andarei perante a face do Senhor na terra dos viventes.

I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

10 Cri, por isso fallei: estive muito afflicto.

I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

11 Dizia na minha pressa: Todos os homens são mentirosos.

I said in my haste, All men are liars.

12 Que darei eu ao Senhor, por todos os beneficios que me tem feito?

What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?

13 Tomarei o calix da salvação, e invocarei o nome do Senhor.

I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

14 Pagarei os meus votos ao Senhor, agora, na presença de todo o seu povo.

I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.

15 Preciosa é á vista do Senhor a morte dos seus sanctos.

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

16 Ó Senhor, devéras sou teu servo: sou teu servo, filho da tua serva; soltaste as minhas ataduras.

O LORD, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, and the son of your handmaid: you have loosed my bonds.

17 Offerecer-te-hei sacrificios de louvor, e invocarei o nome do Senhor.

I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

18 Pagarei os meus votos ao Senhor, na presença de todo o meu povo.

I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.

19 Nos atrios da casa do Senhor, no meio de ti, ó Jerusalem. Louvae ao Senhor.

In the courts of the LORD's house, in the midst of you, O Jerusalem. Praise all of you the LORD.
