Oséias 10
1 Israel é uma vide vasia; dá fructo para si mesmo: segundo a multidão do seu fructo, multiplicou os altares, segundo a bondade da sua terra, fizeram boas as estatuas.
A luxuriant vine, is Israel, fruit, beseemeth him, —According to the abundance of his fruit, hath he brought abundance to the altars, according to the goodliness of his land, hath he made goodly statues.
2 Lisonjeia-os o seu coração, agora serão culpados: cortará os seus altares, e destruirá as suas estatuas.
Hypocritical is their heart, Now, shall they be held guilty, —He, will break down their altars, he will destroy their statutes.
3 Porque agora dirão: Não temos rei, porque não tememos ao Senhor: que, pois, nos faria o rei?
For, now, will they say, We have no king, —for we revere not Yahweh, and what could, a king, do for us?
4 Fallaram palavras, jurando falsamente, fazendo um concerto: e florescerá o juizo como herva peçonhenta nos regos dos campos.
They have spoken words, swearing falsely, in solemnizing a covenant, —therefore shall judgment, spring up like a poisonous plant, on the ridges of the field.
5 Os moradores de Samaria serão atemorisados pelo bezerro de Beth-aven; porque o seu povo lamentará por causa d'elle, como tambem os seus sacerdotes (que por causa d'elle se alegravam), por causa da sua gloria, que pois se foi d'ella.
About the calves of Beth-aven, will the inhabitant of Samaria be concerned, —for the people thereof, have mourned over it, and, the ascetics thereof, who, over it, used to exult, [shall mourn] for the glory thereof, because it hath departed therefrom.
6 Tambem a Assyria será levada como um presente ao rei Jareb: Ephraim ficará confuso, e Israel se envergonhará por causa do seu conselho.
Itself also, to Assyria, shall be borne along, as a present to a hostile king, —shame, shall Ephraim receive, that Israel, may be ashamed, of his own counsel.
7 O rei de Samaria será cortado como a escuma sobre a face da agua.
Silenced is Samaria: her king, is as a chip on the face of the waters,
8 E os altos de Aven, peccado de Israel, serão destruidos: espinhos e cardos crescerão sobre os seus altares; e dirão aos montes: Cobri-nos! e aos outeiros: Cahi sobre nós!
So shall the high places of Aven, be destroyed, the sin of Israel, Thorn and prickle, shall come up on their altars, —Therefore shall they say to the mountains, Cover us, and to the hills, Fall on us.
9 Desde os dias de Gibeah peccaste, ó Israel; ali pararam: a peleja em Gibeah contra os filhos da perversidade não os accommetterá.
Beyond the days of Gibeah, hast thou sinned, O Israel: there, came they to a stand, the battle against the sons of perversity, touched them not in Gibeah.
10 Eu os castigarei á medida do meu desejo; e congregar-se-hão contra elles os povos, quando os atar nos seus dois regos.
When I please, then will I chastise them, —and there shall be gathered together against them—peoples, they being harnessed to their two Iniquities;
11 Porque Ephraim é uma bezerra acostumada, que gosta de trilhar; passei sobre a formosura do seu pescoço: porventura deixarei andar a cavallo Ephraim? Judah lavrará, Jacob lhe desfará os torrões.
But, Ephraim, shall be a heifer broken in, loving to tread out corn, when, I, have passed over upon her fair neck, —I will drive Ephraim, Judah, shall plow, Jacob, shall harrow to him.
12 Semeae para vós a justiça, segae para beneficencia, e lavrae o campo de lavoura; porque o tempo é de buscar ao Senhor, até que venha e chova a justiça sobre vós.
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap ye at the bidding of lovingkindness, furrow to yourselves the newly-ploughed soil, —then will be the time to seek Yahweh, until he come, that he may rain down righteousness for you.
13 Lavrastes a impiedade, segastes a perversidade, e comestes o fructo da mentira; porque confiaste no teu caminho, na multidão dos teus valentes.
Ye have plowed lawlessness, perversity, have ye reaped, ye have eaten the fruit of deception, —because thou didst trust in thy chariots, in the multitude of thy mighty men.
14 Portanto, entre os seus povos se levantará um grande tumulto, e todas as tuas fortalezas serão destruidas, como Shalman destruiu a Beth-arbel no dia da guerra: a mãe ali foi despedaçada com os filhos.
Therefore shall there arise a tumult among thy peoples, and, all thy fortresses, shall be plundered, as Shalman plundered Beth-arbel, in the day of battle, —the mother, upon her children, dashed to the ground.
15 Assim vos fará Beth-el, por causa da malicia de vossa malicia: o rei de Israel de madrugada será totalmente destruido.
Even so, hath Bethel, done to you, because of your exceeding wickedness, —in the dawn, shall the king of Israel be, utterly silenced.
