Efésios 6

1 Vós, filhos, sêde obedientes a vossos paes no Senhor, porque isto é justo.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

2 Honra a teu pae e a tua mãe, que é o primeiro mandamento com promessa,

Honour your father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

3 Para que te vá bem, e vivas muito tempo sobre a terra.

That it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.

4 E vós, paes, não provoqueis a ira a vossos filhos, mas creae-os na doutrina e admoestação do Senhor.

And, all of you fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

5 Vós, servos, obedecei a vossos senhores segundo a carne, com temor e tremor, na sinceridade de vosso coração, como a Christo;

Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

6 Não servindo á vista, como agradando a homens, mas como servos de Christo, fazendo de coração a vontade de Deus,

Not with eye-service, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

7 Servindo de boa vontade ao Senhor, e não aos homens.

With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

8 Sabendo que cada um receberá do Senhor todo o bem que fizer, seja servo, seja livre.

Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man does, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

9 E vós senhores, fazei o mesmo para com elles, deixando as ameaças, sabendo tambem que o Senhor d'elles e vosso está no céu, e que para com elle não ha accepção de pessoas.

And, all of you masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

10 No demais, irmãos meus, fortalecei-vos no Senhor e na força do seu poder.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Revesti-vos de toda a armadura de Deus, para que possaes estar firmes contra as astutas ciladas do diabo.

Put on the whole armour of God, that all of you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 Porque não temos que luctar contra a carne e o sangue, mas sim contra os principados, contra as potestades, contra os principes das trevas d'este seculo, contra as malicias espirituaes em os ares. (aiōn g165)

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (aiōn g165)

13 Portanto tomae toda a armadura de Deus, para que possaes resistir no dia mau, e, havendo feito tudo, ficar firmes.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that all of you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Estae pois firmes, tendo cingidos os vossos lombos com a verdade, e vestidos com a couraça da justiça;

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 E calçados os pés com a preparação do evangelho da paz

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Tomando sobretudo o escudo da fé, com o qual possaes apagar todos os dardos inflammados do maligno.

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith all of you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 Tomae tambem o capacete da salvação, e a espada do Espirito, que é a palavra de Deus:

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, (pneuma) which is the word (rhema) of God:

18 Orando em todo o tempo com toda a oração e supplica em espirito, e vigiando n'isto com toda a perseverança e supplica por todos os sanctos,

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, (pneuma) and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

19 E por mim; para que me seja dada, no abrir da minha bocca, a palavra com confiança, para fazer notorio o mysterio do evangelho.

And for me, that utterance (logos) may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

20 Pelo qual sou embaixador em cadeias; para que possa fallar d'elle livremente, como me convém fallar.

For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

21 Ora, para que vós tambem possaes saber os meus negocios, e o que eu faço, Tychico, irmão amado, e fiel ministro do Senhor, vos informará de tudo.

But that all of you also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

22 O qual vos enviei para o mesmo fim, para que saibaes os nossos negocios, e elle console os vossos corações.

Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that all of you might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

23 Paz seja com os irmãos, e caridade com fé da parte de Deus Pae e da do Senhor Jesus Christo.

Peace be to the brethren, and love (agape) with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

24 A graça seja com todos os que amam a nosso Senhor Jesus Christo em sinceridade. Amen.

Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
