Colossenses 1

1 Paulo, apostolo de Jesus Christo, pela vontade de Deus, e o irmão Timotheo:

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,

2 Aos sanctos e irmãos fieis em Christo, que estão em Colossos. Graça a vós, e paz da parte de Deus nosso Pae e da do Senhor Jesus Christo.

To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Graças damos ao Deus e Pae de nosso Senhor Jesus Christo, orando sempre por vós:

We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

4 Porquanto ouvimos da vossa fé em Christo Jesus, e da caridade que tendes para com todos os sanctos;

Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the (agape) love which all of you have to all the saints,

5 Pela esperança que vos está reservada nos céus, da qual já d'antes ouvistes pela palavra da verdade do evangelho:

For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof all of you heard before in the (logos) word of the truth of the gospel;

6 O qual já chegou a vós, como tambem está em todo o mundo; e já vae fructificando, como tambem entre vós, desde o dia em que ouvistes e conhecestes a graça de Deus em verdade;

Which has come unto you, as it is in all the world; and brings forth fruit, as it does also in you, since the day all of you heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

7 Como tambem o aprendestes de Epaphras, nosso amado conservo, que para vós é um fiel ministro de Christo.

As all of you also learned of Epaphras our dear fellow servant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;

8 O qual nos declarou tambem a vossa caridade no Espirito.

Who also declared unto us your (agape) love in the (pneuma) Spirit.

9 Portanto tambem, desde o dia em que o ouvimos, não cessámos de orar por vós, e de pedir que sejaes cheios do conhecimento da sua vontade, em toda a sabedoria e intelligencia espiritual;

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that all of you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

10 Para que possaes andar dignamente diante do Senhor, agradando-lhe em tudo, fructificando em toda a boa obra, e crescendo no conhecimento de Deus;

That all of you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

11 Corroborados em toda a fortaleza, segundo a força da sua gloria, em toda a paciencia, e longanimidade com gozo;

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

12 Dando graças ao Pae que nos fez idoneos de participar da herança dos sanctos na luz.

Giving thanks unto the Father, which has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

13 O qual nos tirou da potestade das trevas, e nos transportou para o reino do Filho do seu amor;

Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his (agape) dear Son:

14 No qual temos a redempção pelo seu sangue, a saber, a remissão dos peccados;

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

15 O qual é imagem do Deus invisivel, o primogenito de toda a creatura.

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

16 Porque por elle foram creadas todas as coisas que ha nos céus e na terra, visiveis e invisiveis, sejam thronos, sejam dominações, sejam principados, sejam potestades: todas as coisas foram creadas por elle e para elle.

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17 E elle é antes de todas as coisas, e todas as coisas subsistem por elle.

And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

18 E elle é a cabeça do corpo da egreja: é o principio e o primogenito d'entre os mortos, para que entre todos tenha a preeminencia.

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

19 Porque foi do agrado do Pae que toda a plenitude n'elle habitasse;

For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;

20 E que, havendo por elle feito a paz pelo sangue da sua cruz, por elle reconciliasse comsigo mesmo todas as coisas, tanto as que estão na terra, como as que estão nos céus.

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

21 A vós tambem, que d'antes ereis estranhos, e inimigos no entendimento, em obras más, agora todavia vos reconciliou,

And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciled

22 No corpo da sua carne, pela morte, para perante si vos apresentar sanctos, e irreprehensiveis, e inculpaveis,

In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and irreproachable in his sight:

23 Se, todavia, permanecerdes fundados e firmes na fé, e não vos moverdes da esperança do evangelho que tendes ouvido, o qual é prégado a toda a creatura que ha debaixo do céu, e do qual eu, Paulo, estou feito ministro.

If all of you continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which all of you have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

24 Regozijo-me agora no que padeço por vós, e cumpro na minha carne o resto das afflicções de Christo, pelo seu corpo, que é a egreja;

Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

25 Da qual eu estou feito ministro segundo a dispensação de Deus, que me foi concedida para comvosco, para cumprir a palavra de Deus;

Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the (logos) word of God;

26 O mysterio que esteve occulto desde todos os seculos, e em todas as gerações, e que agora foi manifesto aos seus sanctos; (aiōn g165)

Even the mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: (aiōn g165)

27 Aos quaes Deus quiz fazer conhecer quaes são as riquezas da gloria d'este mysterio entre os gentios, que é Christo em vós, esperança da gloria:

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

28 O qual annunciámos, admoestando a todo o homem, e ensinando a todo o homem em toda a sabedoria; para que apresentemos todo o homem perfeito em Jesus Christo;

Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

29 No que tambem trabalho, combatendo segundo a sua efficacia, que obra em mim poderosamente.

Unto which I also labour, striving according to his working, which works in me mightily.
