2 Tessalonicenses 1

1 Paulo, e Silvano, e Timotheo, á egreja dos thessalonicenses, em Deus nosso Pae e no Senhor Jesus Christo:

Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father, and the Lord Yeshua Meshikha:

2 Graça e paz de Deus nosso Pae, e do Senhor Jesus Christo.

Grace to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Yeshua Meshikha.

3 Sempre devemos, irmãos, dar graças a Deus por vós, como é de razão, porquanto a vossa fé cresce muitissimo e a caridade de cada um de vós abunda de uns para com os outros

We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you towards one another abounds;

4 De maneira que nós mesmos nos gloriamos de vós nas egrejas de Deus por causa da vossa paciencia e fé, e em todas as vossas perseguições e afflicções que supportaes;

so that we ourselves boast about you in the congregations of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure.

5 Prova clara do justo juizo de Deus, para que sejaes havidos por dignos do reino de Deus, pelo qual tambem padeceis;

This is an obvious sign of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that you may be counted worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which you also suffer.

6 Pois é justo diante de Deus que dê em paga tribulação aos que vos atribulam,

Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you,

7 E a vós, que sois atribulados, descanço comnosco, quando se manifestar o Senhor Jesus desde o céu com os anjos do seu poder:

and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us, when the Lord Yeshua is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,

8 Como labareda de fogo, tomando vingança dos que não conhecem a Deus e dos que não obedecem ao evangelho de nosso Senhor Jesus Christo:

giving vengeance to those who do not know God, and to those who do not obey the Good News of our Lord Yeshua,

9 Os quaes por castigo, padecerão eterna perdição, ante a face do Senhor e a gloria do seu poder, (aiōnios g166)

who will pay the penalty: everlasting destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might, (aiōnios g166)

10 Quando vier para ser glorificado nos seus sanctos, e a fazer-se admiravel n'aquelle dia em todos os que crêem (porquanto o nosso testemunho foi crido entre vós).

when he comes to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all those who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.

11 Pelo que tambem rogamos sempre por vós, para que o nosso Deus vos faça dignos da sua vocação, e cumpra todo o desejo da sua bondade, e a obra da fé com poder;

To this end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and work of faith, with power;

12 Para que o nome de nosso Senhor Jesus Christo seja em vós glorificado, e vós n'elle, segundo a graça de nosso Deus e do Senhor Jesus Christo.

that the name of our Lord Yeshua may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Yeshua Meshikha.
