1 Tessalonicenses 4

1 Assim que, irmãos, no demais vos rogamos e exhortamos no Senhor Jesus, que, assim como recebestes de nós, como vos convenha andar e agradar a Deus, assim n'isto abundeis cada vez mais.

Finally then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Yeshua, that as you received from us how you ought to live and to please God, even as you are living, that you excel more and more.

2 Porque vós bem sabeis que mandamentos vos temos dado pelo Senhor Jesus.

For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Yeshua.

3 Porque esta é a vontade de Deus, a vossa sanctificação: que vos abstenhaes da fornicação;

For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality,

4 Que cada um de vós saiba possuir o seu vaso em sanctificação e honra;

that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

5 Não em sensualidade de concupiscencia, como os gentios, que não conhecem a Deus.

not in the passion of lust, even as the nations who do not know God;

6 Ninguem opprima nem engane a seu irmão em negocio algum, porque o Senhor é vingador de todas estas coisas, como tambem já d'antes vol-o dissemos e testificámos.

that no one should take advantage of and wrong a brother or sister in this matter; because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified.

7 Porque não nos chamou Deus para a immundicia, senão para a sanctificação.

For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification.

8 Porque quem despreza isto não despreza ao homem, mas sim a Deus, o qual nos deu tambem o seu Espirito Sancto.

Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given his Rukha d'Qudsha to you.

9 Emquanto, porém, á caridade fraternal, não necessitaes de que vos escreva, porque já vós mesmos estaes instruidos por Deus que vos ameis uns aos outros.

But concerning brotherly love, you have no need that one write to you. For you yourselves are taught by God to love one another,

10 Porque tambem já assim o fazeis, para com todos os irmãos que estão por toda a Macedonia. Exhortamo-vos, porém, irmãos, a que ainda n'isto abundeis cada vez mais

for indeed you do it toward all the brothers who are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brothers, that you abound more and more;

11 E procureis viver quietos, e tratar dos vossos proprios negocios, e trabalhar com vossas proprias mãos, como já vol-o temos mandado;

and that you make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we instructed you;

12 Para que andeis honestamente para com os que estão de fóra, e não necessiteis de coisa alguma.

that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and may have need of nothing.

13 Não quero, porém, irmãos, que sejaes ignorantes ácerca dos que já dormem, para que vos não entristeçaes, como tambem os demais, que não teem esperança.

But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you do not grieve like the rest, who have no hope.

14 Porque, se crêmos que Jesus morreu e resuscitou, assim tambem aos que em Jesus dormem Deus os tornará a trazer com elle.

For if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Yeshua.

15 Dizemo-vos portanto isto pela palavra do Senhor: que nós, os que ficarmos vivos para a vinda do Senhor, não precederemos os que dormem.

For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left to the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep.

16 Porque o mesmo Senhor descerá do céu com alarido, e com voz de archanjo, e com a trombeta de Deus; e os que morreram em Christo resuscitarão primeiro.

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with God's trumpet. The dead in Meshikha will rise first,

17 Depois nós, os que ficarmos vivos, seremos arrebatados juntamente com elles nas nuvens, a encontrar o Senhor nos ares, e assim estaremos sempre com o Senhor.

then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.

18 Portanto, consolae-vos uns aos outros com estas palavras.

Therefore comfort one another with these words.
