1 E Succedeu que no anno de quatrocentos e oitenta, depois de sairem os filhos de Israel do Egypto, no anno quarto do reinado de Salomão sobre Israel, no mez de Ziv (este é o mez segundo), começou a edificar a casa do Senhor.
It happened in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.
2 E a casa que o rei Salomão edificou ao Senhor era de sessenta covados de comprimento, e de vinte covados de largura, e de trinta covados de altura.
The house which king Solomon built for the LORD, its length was one hundred three feet and four inches, and its breadth thirty-four feet and five inches, and its height fifty-one feet and eight inches.
3 E o portico diante do templo da casa era de vinte covados de comprimento, segundo a largura da casa, e de dez covados de largura diante da casa.
The porch before the temple of the house, thirty-four feet and five inches was its length, according to the breadth of the house. Seventeen feet and three inches was its breadth before the house.
4 E fez á casa janellas de vista estreita.
For the house he made windows of fixed lattice work.
5 Edificou em redor da parede da casa camaras, em redor das paredes da casa, tanto do templo como do oraculo: e assim lhe fez camaras collateraes em redor.
Against the wall of the house he built stories all around, against the walls of the house all around, both of the temple and of the inner sanctuary; and he made side-rooms all around.
6 A camara de baixo era de cinco covados de largura, e a do meio de seis covados de largura, e a terceira de sete covados de largura; porque pela parte de fóra da casa em redor fizera encostos, para não travarem das paredes da casa.
The lowest story was eight feet and seven inches broad, and the middle was ten feet and four inches broad, and the third was twelve feet and one inch broad; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around, that the beams should not have hold in the walls of the house.
7 E edificava-se a casa com pedras preparadas, como as traziam se edificava; de maneira que nem martelo, nem machado, nem nenhum outro instrumento de ferro se ouviu na casa quando a edificavam.
The house, when it was in building, was built of stone prepared at the quarry; and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.
8 A porta da camara do meio estava á banda direita da casa, e por corações se subia á do meio, e da do meio á terceira.
And the door for the lowest side-rooms was in the right side of the house: and they went up by winding stairs into the middle story, and out of the middle into the third.
9 Assim pois edificou a casa, e a aperfeiçoou: e cobriu a casa com pranchões e taboados de cedro.
So he built the house, and finished it; and he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar.
10 Tambem edificou as camaras a toda a casa de cinco covados de altura, e as travou com a casa com madeira de cedro.
He built the stories against all the house, each eight feet and seven inches high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.
11 Então veiu a palavra do Senhor a Salomão, dizendo:
The word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying,
12 Quanto a esta casa que tu edificas, se andares nos meus estatutos, e fizeres os meus juizos, e guardares todos os meus mandamentos, andando n'elles, confirmarei para comtigo a minha palavra, a qual fallei a David, teu pae;
"Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes, and execute my ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father.
13 E habitarei no meio dos filhos d'Israel, e não desampararei o meu povo d'Israel.
I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel."
14 Assim edificou Salomão aquella casa, e a aperfeiçoou.
So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
15 Tambem cobriu as paredes da casa por dentro com taboas de cedro; desde o soalho da casa até ao tecto tudo cobriu com madeira por dentro: e cobriu o soalho da casa com taboas de faia.
He built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar: from the floor of the house to the walls of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood; and he covered the floor of the house with boards of fir.
16 Edificou mais vinte covados de taboas de cedro nos lados da casa, desde o soalho até ás paredes: e por dentro lh'as edificou para o oraculo, para o Sancto dos Sanctos,
He built thirty-four feet and five inches on the back part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the beams, and he built this within as an inner sanctuary, the most holy place.
17 Era pois a casa de quarenta covados, a saber: o templo interior.
In front of the temple sanctuary was sixty-eight feet and eleven inches.
18 E o cedro da casa por dentro era lavrado de botões e flores abertas: tudo era cedro, pedra nenhuma se via.
And the inside of the house was cedar, carved with buds and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.
19 E por dentro da casa interior preparou o oraculo, para pôr ali a arca do concerto do Senhor.
He prepared an inner sanctuary in the midst of the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
20 E o oraculo no interior era de vinte covados de comprimento, e de vinte covados de largura, e de vinte covados de altura: e o cobriu de oiro puro: tambem cobriu de cedro o altar.
And before the sanctuary was thirty-four feet and five inches in length, and thirty-four feet and five inches in breadth, and thirty-four feet and five inches in its height; and he overlaid it with pure gold. And he made the altar of cedar.
21 E cobriu Salomão a casa por dentro de oiro puro: e com cadeias de oiro poz um véu diante do oraculo, e o cobriu com oiro.
So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold, and he drew chains of gold across, in front of the inner sanctuary, and he overlaid it with gold.
22 Assim toda a casa cobriu de oiro, até acabar toda a casa: tambem todo o altar que estava diante do oraculo cobriu de oiro.
The whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished: also the whole altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary he overlaid with gold.
23 E no oraculo fez dois cherubins de madeira olearia, cada um da altura de dez covados.
In the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive wood, each seventeen feet and three inches high.
24 E uma aza d'um cherubim era de cinco covados, e a outra aza do cherubim de outros cinco covados; dez covados havia desde a extremidade d'uma das suas azas até á extremidade da outra das suas azas.
Eight feet and seven inches was the one wing of the cherub, and eight feet and seven inches the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing to the uttermost part of the other were seventeen feet and three inches.
25 Assim era tambem de dez covados o outro cherubim: ambos os cherubins eram d'uma mesma medida e d'um mesmo talhe.
The other cherub was seventeen feet and three inches: both the cherubim were of one measure and one form.
26 A altura d'um cherubim de dez covados, e assim a do outro cherubim.
The height of the one cherub was seventeen feet and three inches, and so was it of the other cherub.
27 E poz a estes cherubins no meio da casa de dentro; e os cherubins estendiam as azas, de maneira que a aza d'um tocava na parede, e a aza do outro cherubim tocava na outra parede: e as suas azas no meio da casa tocavam uma na outra.
He set the cherubim within the inner house; and the wings of the cherubim were stretched forth, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.
28 E cobriu de oiro os cherubins.
He overlaid the cherubim with gold.
29 E todas as paredes da casa em redor lavrou de esculpturas e entalhes de cherubins, e de palmas, e de flores abertas, por dentro e por fóra.
He carved all the walls of the house around with carved figures of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, inside and outside.
30 Tambem cobriu de oiro o soalho da casa, por dentro e por fóra.
The floor of the house he overlaid with gold, inside and outside.
31 E á entrada do oraculo fez portas de madeira olearia: o umbral de cima com as hombreiras faziam a quinta parte da parede.
For the entrance of the inner sanctuary he made doors of olive wood: the lintel and door posts were a fifth part of the wall.
32 Tambem as duas portas eram de madeira olearia; e lavrou n'ellas entalhes de cherubins, e de palmas, e de flores abertas, os quaes cobriu de oiro: tambem estendeu oiro sobre os cherubins e sobre as palmas.
So he made two doors of olive wood; and he carved on them carvings of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold; and he spread the gold on the cherubim, and on the palm trees.
33 E assim fez á porta do templo hombreiras de madeira olearia, da quarta parte da parede.
So also he made for the entrance of the temple door posts of olive wood, out of a fourth part of the wall;
34 E eram as duas portas de madeira de faia; e as duas folhas d'uma porta eram dobradiças, assim como eram tambem dobradiças as duas folhas entalhadas das outras portas.
and two doors of fir wood: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.
35 E as lavrou de cherubins, e de palmas, e de flores abertas, e as cobriu de oiro acommodado ao lavor.
He carved cherubim and palm trees and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold fitted on the engraved work.
36 Tambem edificou o pateo interior de tres ordens de pedras lavradas e d'uma ordem de vigas de cedro.
He built the inner court with three courses of cut stone, and a course of cedar beams.
37 No anno quarto se poz o fundamento da casa do Senhor, no mez de Ziv.
In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid, in the month Ziv.
38 E no anno undecimo, no mez de Bul, que é o mez oitavo, se acabou esta casa com todos os seus apparelhos, e com tudo o que lhe convinha: e a edificou em sete annos.
In the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all its parts, and according to all its fashion. So was he seven years in building it.
