1 Crônicas 28

1 Então David convocou em Jerusalem todos os principes de Israel, os principes das tribus, e os capitães das turmas, que serviam o rei, e os capitães dos milhares, e os capitães das centenas, e os maioraes de toda a fazenda e possessão do rei, e de seus filhos, como tambem os eunuchos e varões, e todo o varão valente.

And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, unto Jerusalem.

2 E poz-se o rei David em pé, e disse: Ouvi-me, irmãos meus, e povo meu: Em meu coração propuz eu edificar uma casa de repouso para a arca do concerto do Senhor e para o escabello dos pés do nosso Deus, e eu tinha feito o preparo para a edificar.

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:

3 Porém Deus me disse: Não edificarás casa ao meu nome, porque és homem de guerra, e derramaste muito sangue.

But God said unto me, You shall not build an house for my name, because you have been a man of war, and have shed blood.

4 E o Senhor Deus de Israel escolheu-me de toda a casa de meu pae, para que eternamente fosse rei sobre Israel; porque a Judah escolheu por principe, e a casa de meu pae na casa de Judah: e entre os filhos de meu pae se agradou de mim para me fazer reinar sobre todo o Israel.

Nevertheless the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he has chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:

5 E, de todos os meus filhos (porque muitos filhos me deu o Senhor), escolheu elle o meu filho Salomão para se assentar no throno do reino do Senhor sobre Israel.

And of all my sons, (for the LORD has given me many sons, ) he has chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.

6 E me disse: Teu filho Salomão, elle edificará a minha casa e os meus atrios; porque o escolhi para filho, e eu lhe serei por pae.

And he said unto me, Solomon your son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.

7 E estabelecerei o seu reino para sempre, se perseverar em cumprir os meus mandamentos e os meus juizos, como até ao dia de hoje.

Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.

8 Agora, pois, perante os olhos de todo o Israel, a congregação do Senhor, e perante os ouvidos do nosso Deus, guardae e buscae todos os mandamentos do Senhor vosso Deus, para que possuaes esta boa terra, e a façaes herdar a vossos filhos depois de vós, para sempre.

Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that all of you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.

9 E tu, meu filho Salomão, conhece o Deus de teu pae, e serve-o com um coração perfeito e com uma alma voluntaria; porque esquadrinha o Senhor todos os corações, e entende todas as imaginações dos pensamentos: se o buscares, será achado de ti; porém, se o deixares, rejeitar-te-ha para sempre.

And you, Solomon my son, know you the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off for ever.

10 Olha pois agora, porque o Senhor te escolheu para edificares uma casa para o sanctuario; esforça-te, e faze a obra.

Take heed now; for the LORD has chosen you to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.

11 E deu David a Salomão, seu filho, o risco do alpendre com as suas casarias, e as suas thesourarias, e os seus cenaculos, e as suas recamaras de dentro, como tambem da casa do propiciatorio.

Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of the houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof, and of the upper chambers thereof, and of the inner parlours thereof, and of the place of the mercy seat,

12 E tambem o risco de tudo quanto tinha no seu animo, a saber; dos atrios da casa do Senhor, e de todas as camaras do redor, para os thesouros da casa de Deus, e para os thesouros das coisas sagradas:

And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things:

13 E das turmas dos sacerdotes, e dos levitas, e de toda a obra do ministerio da casa do Senhor, e de todos os vasos do ministerio da casa do Senhor.

Also for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the vessels of service in the house of the LORD.

14 O oiro deu, segundo o peso do oiro, para todos os vasos de cada ministerio: tambem a prata, por peso, para todos os vasos de prata, para todos os vasos de cada ministerio:

He gave of gold by weight for things of gold, for all instruments of all manner of service; silver also for all instruments of silver by weight, for all instruments of every kind of service:

15 E o peso para os castiçaes de oiro, e suas candeias de oiro, segundo o peso de cada castiçal e as suas candeias: tambem para os castiçaes de prata, segundo o peso do castiçal e as suas candeias, segundo o ministerio de cada castiçal.

Even the weight for the candlesticks of gold, and for their lamps of gold, by weight for every candlestick, and for the lamps thereof: and for the candlesticks of silver by weight, both for the candlestick, and also for the lamps thereof, according to the use of every candlestick.

16 Tambem deu o oiro por peso para as mesas da proposição, para cada mesa: como tambem a prata para as mesas de prata.

And by weight he gave gold for the tables of showbread, for every table; and likewise silver for the tables of silver:

17 E oiro puro para os garfos, e para as bacias, e para as escudelas, e para as taças de oiro, para cada taça seu peso; como tambem para as taças de prata, para cada taça seu peso.

Also pure gold for the forks, and the bowls, and the cups: and for the golden basons he gave gold by weight for every basin; and likewise silver by weight for every basin of silver:

18 E para o altar do incenso, oiro purificado, por seu peso: como tambem o oiro para o modelo do carro, a saber, dos cherubins, que haviam de estender as azas, e cobrir a arca do concerto do Senhor.

And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubims, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

19 Tudo isto, disse David, por escripto me deram a entender por mandado do Senhor, a saber, todas as obras d'este risco.

All this, said David, the LORD made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.

20 E disse David a Salomão seu filho: Esforça-te e tem bom animo, e obra; não temas, nem te espavoreças; porque o Senhor Deus, meu Deus, ha de ser comtigo; não te deixará, nem te desamparará, até que acabes toda a obra do serviço da casa do Senhor.

And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

21 E eis que ahi tens as turmas dos sacerdotes e dos levitas para todo o ministerio da casa de Deus: estão tambem comtigo, para toda a obra, voluntarios com sabedoria de toda a especie para todo o ministerio; como tambem todos os principes, e todo o povo, para todos os teus mandados.

And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with you for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with you for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at your commandment.
