Objawienie 6
1 I zobaczyłem, gdy Baranek otworzył pierwszą z pieczęci, i usłyszałem pierwsze z czterech stworzeń mówiące jakby głosem gromu: Chodź i zobacz.
I looked when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice that sounded like thunder, “Come!”
2 I zobaczyłem, a oto biały koń, ten zaś, który na nim siedział, miał łuk. I dano mu koronę, i wyruszył [jako] zwycięzca, żeby zwyciężać.
I looked and there was a white horse. Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown. He came out as a conqueror in order to conquer.
3 A gdy otworzył drugą pieczęć, usłyszałem drugie stworzenie mówiące: Chodź i zobacz.
When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!”
4 I wyszedł inny koń, rudy, a temu, który na nim siedział, pozwolono odebrać ziemi pokój, aby ludzie zabijali się nawzajem. I dano mu wielki miecz.
Then another horse came out—fiery red. To its rider was given permission to take peace away from the earth, so that its people would slaughter one another. This rider was given a huge sword.
5 A gdy otworzył trzecią pieczęć, usłyszałem trzecie stworzenie mówiące: Chodź i zobacz. I zobaczyłem, a oto koń czarny, ten zaś, który na nim siedział, miał w swojej ręce wagę.
When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I saw a black horse, and its rider held a pair of scales in his hand.
6 I usłyszałem głos pośród czterech stworzeń mówiący: Miara pszenicy za grosz i trzy miary jęczmienia za grosz. A nie krzywdź oliwy i wina.
I heard what seemed to be a voice among the four living creatures say, “A choenix of wheat for one denarius, and three choenices of barley for a denarius. But do not harm the oil and the wine.”
7 A gdy otworzył czwartą pieczęć, usłyszałem głos czwartego stworzenia mówiący: Chodź i zobacz.
When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!”
8 I zobaczyłem, oto koń płowy, a temu, który na nim siedział, było na imię Śmierć, a Piekło szło za nim. I dano im władzę nad czwartą częścią ziemi, aby zabijali mieczem i głodem, i zarazą, i przez zwierzęta ziemi. (Hadēs g86)
Then I saw a pale horse. The rider on it was named Death, and Hades was following him. They were given authority over one-fourth of the earth, to kill with the sword, with famine and disease, and with the wild animals of the earth. (Hadēs g86)
9 A gdy otworzył piątą pieczęć, widziałem pod ołtarzem dusze zabitych z powodu słowa Bożego i świadectwa, które złożyli.
When the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been killed because of the word of God and the testimony which they held.
10 I wołały donośnym głosem: Jak długo [jeszcze], Panie święty i prawdziwy, nie będziesz sądził i nie pomścisz naszej krwi na mieszkańcach ziemi?
They cried out with a loud voice, “How long, Ruler over all, holy and true, until you judge those who live on the earth, and until you avenge our blood?”
11 I dano każdemu [z nich] białą szatę, i powiedziano im, aby odpoczywali jeszcze przez krótki czas, aż dopełni się [liczba] ich współsług i braci, którzy mają zostać zabici jak i oni.
Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told that they should wait a little longer until the full number of their fellow servants and their brothers and sisters was reached who were to be killed, just as they had been killed.
12 I zobaczyłem, gdy otworzył szóstą pieczęć, a oto nastąpiło wielkie trzęsienie ziemi i słońce stało się czarne jak włosiany wór, a księżyc stał się jak krew.
When the Lamb opened the sixth seal, I watched and there was a great earthquake. The sun became as black as sackcloth, and the full moon became like blood.
13 Gwiazdy niebieskie spadły na ziemię, podobnie jak drzewo figowe zrzuca niedojrzałe figi, gdy potrząśnie nim gwałtowny wiatr.
The stars in the heavens fell to the earth, just as a fig tree drops its unripe fruit when shaken by a stormy wind.
14 I niebo ustąpiło jak zwój zrolowany, a każda góra i wyspa ruszyły się ze swoich miejsc.
The sky vanished like a scroll that was being rolled up. Every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
15 A królowie ziemscy i możnowładcy, i bogacze, i wodzowie, i mocarze, i każdy niewolnik, i każdy wolny ukryli się w jaskiniach i skałach górskich.
Then the kings of the earth and the important people, and the generals, and the rich, and the powerful, and everyone else, slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
16 I mówili do gór i skał: Padnijcie na nas i zakryjcie nas przed obliczem zasiadającego na tronie i przed gniewem Baranka;
They said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us! Hide us from the face of the one who is seated on the throne and from the Lamb's wrath.
17 Bo nadszedł wielki dzień jego gniewu. I któż może się ostać?
For the great day of their wrath has come. Who is able to stand?”
