1 Modlitwa Dawida. Nakłoń swego ucha, PANIE, wysłuchaj mnie, bo jestem nędzny i ubogi.

A Prayer of David. Incline thine ear, Jehovah, answer me; for I am afflicted and needy.

2 Strzeż mojej duszy, bo jestem pobożny; mój Boże, wybaw twego sługę, który ufa tobie.

Keep my soul, for I am godly; O thou my God, save thy servant who confideth in thee.

3 Zmiłuj się nade mną, Panie, bo do ciebie codziennie wołam.

Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for unto thee do I call all the day.

4 Rozraduj duszę twego sługi, bo do ciebie, Panie, wznoszę swą duszę.

Rejoice the soul of thy servant; for unto thee, Lord, do I lift up my soul.

5 Bo ty, Panie, jesteś dobry i przebaczający, i pełen miłosierdzia dla wszystkich, którzy cię wzywają.

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, and art of great loving-kindness unto all that call upon thee.

6 Wysłuchaj, PANIE, mojej modlitwy i zważ na głos mojego błagania.

Give ear, O Jehovah, unto my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplications.

7 Wzywam cię w dniu mego ucisku, bo [ty] mnie wysłuchasz.

In the day of my distress I will call upon thee, for thou wilt answer me.

8 Nie ma wśród bogów podobnego tobie, Panie, i nie ma dzieł takich jak twoje.

Among the gods there is none like unto thee, Lord, and there is nothing like unto thy works.

9 Wszystkie narody, które stworzyłeś, przyjdą i oddadzą ci pokłon, Panie, i będą wielbić twoje imię;

All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord, and shall glorify thy name.

10 Bo ty jesteś wielki i czynisz cuda; tylko ty jesteś Bogiem.

For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God, thou alone.

11 Naucz mnie, PANIE, twojej drogi, abym chodził w twojej prawdzie; nakłoń moje serce ku bojaźni twego imienia.

Teach me thy way, Jehovah; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

12 Będę cię chwalił, Panie, mój Boże, z całego serca i będę wielbił twoje imię na wieki;

I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart; and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13 Bo wielkie jest twoje miłosierdzie dla mnie; [ty] ocaliłeś moją duszę z najgłębszego piekła. (Sheol h7585)

For great is thy loving-kindness toward me, and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol. (Sheol h7585)

14 Boże, pyszni powstali przeciwko mnie i zgraja gwałtowników czyhała na moją duszę, a nie mają ciebie przed oczyma.

O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assembly of the violent seek after my soul, and they have not set thee before them.

15 Ale ty, Panie, jesteś Bogiem łaskawym i litościwym, nieskorym do gniewu, pełnym miłosierdzia i prawdy.

But thou, Lord, art a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth.

16 Spójrz na mnie i zmiłuj się nade mną, udziel swojej mocy twemu słudze i wybaw syna twojej służącej.

Turn toward me, and be gracious unto me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

17 Daj mi znak [twojej] dobroci, aby ci, którzy mnie nienawidzą, zobaczyli i zawstydzili się, że ty, PANIE, wspomogłeś mnie i pocieszyłeś.

Shew me a token for good, that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed; for thou, Jehovah, hast helped me and comforted me.
