1 Przewodnikowi chóru, na Sosannim. Psalm świadectwa Asafa. Posłuchaj, Pasterzu Izraela, ty, który prowadzisz Józefa jak stado owiec, ty, który zasiadasz między cherubinami, zabłyśnij.

For the leader. On shoshannim, eduth. Of Asaph, a psalm. Listen, Shepherd of Israel, who leads Joseph like a flock of sheep; from your throne on the cherubs shine forth

2 Przed Efraimem, Beniaminem i Manassesem wzbudź swoją moc i przyjdź nas zbawić.

before Ephraim, Manasseh, and Benjamin. Stir up your mighty power, come to our help.

3 Boże, odnów nas, rozjaśnij [nad nami] swoje oblicze, a będziemy wybawieni.

God, restore us: show us the light of your face, so we may be saved.

4 PANIE, Boże zastępów, jak długo będziesz się gniewał na modlitwę swego ludu?

O Lord of hosts, how long is your anger to smoke, despite the prayer of your people?

5 Nakarmiłeś ich chlebem płaczu i napoiłeś ich łzami nad miarę.

You have fed them with bread of tears, you have made them drink tears by the measure.

6 Zrobiłeś z nas przedmiot sporu dla naszych sąsiadów, a nasi wrogowie śmieją się z nas.

The scorn of our neighbors you make us, the laughing-stock of our foes.

7 Boże zastępów, odnów nas, rozjaśnij [nad nami] swoje oblicze, a będziemy wybawieni.

God of hosts, restore us: show us the light of your face, so we may be saved.

8 Ty przeniosłeś winorośl z Egiptu; wygnałeś pogan, a ją zasadziłeś.

A vine out of Egypt you brought; you did drive out the nations, and plant her;

9 Przygotowałeś jej miejsce i sprawiłeś, że zapuściła korzenie i napełniła ziemię.

in the ground you did clear she struck root, and she filled all the land.

10 Góry okryły się jej cieniem, a jej gałęzie [były jak] najwyższe cedry.

The shade of her covered the mountains, her branches the cedars of God.

11 Wypuściła swe latorośle aż do morza i swoje pędy aż do rzeki.

She sent forth her shoots to the sea, and her branches as far as the River.

12 Dlaczego [więc] zburzyłeś jej ogrodzenie, tak że obrywają ją wszyscy, którzy przechodzą drogą?

Why have you torn down her fences, and left her to be plucked at by all who pass by,

13 Niszczy ją dzik leśny, a zwierzę polne pożera ją.

to be gnawed by the boar from the forest, and devoured by the beasts of the field?

14 O Boże zastępów, proszę, powróć, spójrz z nieba i zobacz, nawiedź tę winorośl;

O God of hosts, return: look down from heaven and see and visit this vine, and restore her

15 Tę winnicę, którą zasadziła twoja prawica, i latorośl, [którą] umocniłeś dla siebie.

the vine which your right hand has planted.

16 Spalona jest ogniem i wycięta; giną od zgromienia twojego oblicza.

She is burned with fire and cut down before your stern face they are perishing.

17 Niech twoja ręka będzie nad mężem twojej prawicy, nad synem człowieczym, którego umocniłeś dla siebie.

Support the one you have chosen, the one you have raised for yourself;

18 A my nie odstąpimy od ciebie; zachowaj nas przy życiu, a będziemy wzywać twego imienia.

then from you we will never draw back. Preserve us, and we will call on your name.

19 PANIE, Boże zastępów, odnów nas, rozjaśnij [nad nami] swoje oblicze, a będziemy wybawieni.

Lord, God of hosts, restore us: Show us the light of your face, so we may be saved.
