Psalmów 27
1 Psalm Dawida. PAN jest moją światłością i moim zbawieniem, kogóż będę się bać? PAN jest mocą mego życia, kogóż mam się lękać?
[A Psalm] of David. Jehovah is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 Gdy złoczyńcy, moi przeciwnicy i wrogowie, wystąpili przeciwko mnie, aby pożreć moje ciało, potknęli się i upadli.
When evil-doers, mine adversaries and mine enemies, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Choćby wojsko rozbiło naprzeciw mnie obóz, moje serce się nie ulęknie; choćby wojna wybuchła przeciw mnie, nawet wtedy będę ufał.
If a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; if war rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4 O jedno proszę PANA i o to będę zabiegał: abym mieszkał w domu PANA po wszystkie dni mego życia, abym oglądał piękno PANA i dowiadywał się w jego świątyni.
One [thing] have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Jehovah, and to inquire [of him] in his temple.
5 Skryje mnie bowiem w dniu niedoli w swoim przybytku, schowa mnie w ukryciu swego namiotu [i] wyniesie mnie na skałę.
For in the day of evil he will hide me in his pavilion; in the secret of his tent will he keep me concealed: he will set me high upon a rock.
6 A teraz moja głowa będzie wzniesiona nad moimi nieprzyjaciółmi, którzy mnie otaczają; będę składał w jego przybytku ofiary radości, będę śpiewał i oddawał PANU chwałę.
And now shall my head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me; and I will offer in his tent sacrifices of shouts of joy: I will sing, yea, I will sing psalms unto Jehovah.
7 Usłysz, PANIE, mój głos, [gdy] wołam; zmiłuj się nade mną i wysłuchaj mnie.
Hear, Jehovah; with my voice do I call; be gracious unto me, and answer me.
8 [Gdy mówiłeś]: Szukajcie mojego oblicza, moje serce mówiło do ciebie: Twojego oblicza, PANIE, będę szukać.
My heart said for thee, Seek ye my face. Thy face, O Jehovah, will I seek.
9 Nie ukrywaj przede mną twojego oblicza ani nie odtrącaj w gniewie swego sługi; ty jesteś moją pomocą, nie opuszczaj mnie i nie odchodź, Boże mego zbawienia.
Hide not thy face from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; cast me not off, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
10 Choćby ojciec i matka opuścili mnie, to PAN mnie przygarnie.
For had my father and my mother forsaken me, then had Jehovah taken me up.
11 Naucz mnie, PANIE, twojej drogi i prowadź mnie ścieżką prostą ze względu na moich wrogów.
Teach me thy way, Jehovah, and lead me in an even path, because of mine enemies.
12 Nie wydawaj mnie na pastwę moich nieprzyjaciół, bo powstali przeciwko mnie fałszywi świadkowie i ci, którzy dyszą okrucieństwem.
Deliver me not over to the will of mine adversaries; for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out violence.
13 [Zniechęciłbym się], gdybym nie wierzył, że będę oglądał dobroć PANA w ziemi żyjących.
Unless I had believed to see the goodness of Jehovah in the land of the living...!
14 Oczekuj PANA, bądź dzielny, [a on] umocni twoje serce; oczekuj więc PANA.
Wait for Jehovah; be strong and let thy heart take courage: yea, wait for Jehovah.
