1 Pieśń stopni. Z głębokości wołam do ciebie, PANIE.

A Song of degrees. Out of the depths do I call upon thee, Jehovah.

2 Panie, wysłuchaj mego głosu. Nakłoń swych uszu na głos mojego błagania.

Lord, hear my voice; let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.

3 PANIE, jeśli będziesz zważał na nieprawości, o Panie, któż się ostoi?

If thou, Jah, shouldest mark iniquities, Lord, who shall stand?

4 Ale u ciebie jest przebaczenie, aby się ciebie bano.

But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

5 Oczekuję PANA, moja dusza oczekuje; i w jego słowie pokładam nadzieję.

I wait for Jehovah; my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

6 Moja dusza [oczekuje] Pana bardziej niż strażnicy świtu, [bardziej niż] ci, którzy strzegą do poranka.

My soul [waiteth] for the Lord more than the watchers [wait] for the morning, [more than] the watchers for the morning.

7 Niech Izrael oczekuje PANA; u PANA bowiem jest miłosierdzie i u niego obfite odkupienie.

Let Israel hope in Jehovah, because with Jehovah there is loving-kindness, and with him is plenteous redemption;

8 On sam odkupi Izraela ze wszystkich jego nieprawości.

And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
