Estery 7
1 Król i Haman przybyli więc na ucztę do królowej Estery.
So the king and Aman went in to drink with the queen.
2 I drugiego dnia, gdy się napił wina, król znowu zapytał Esterę: Jaka jest twoja prośba, królowo Estero, a będzie ci dane. Jakie jest twoje życzenie? Choćbyś [prosiła] nawet o połowę królestwa, tak się stanie.
And the king said to Esther at the banquet on the second day, What is it, queen Esther? and what [is] your request, and what [is] your petition? and it shall be [done] for you, to the half of my kingdom.
3 Wtedy królowa Estera odpowiedziała: Jeśli znalazłam łaskę w twoich oczach, o królu, i jeśli królowi się spodoba, niech będzie mi darowane moje życie na moją prośbę i mój naród na moje życzenie.
And she answered and said, If I have found favour in the sight of the king, let [my] life be granted to my petition, and my people to my request.

And the king said, Who [is] this that has dared to do this thing?
6 Estera odpowiedziała: Tym przeciwnikiem i wrogiem jest niegodziwy Haman. I Haman zatrwożył się przed królem i królową.
And Esther said, the adversary [is] Aman, this wicked man. Then Aman was troubled before the king and the queen.
7 Wówczas król wstał w gniewie, opuścił ucztę [i poszedł] do ogrodu pałacowego. Haman zaś stał, aby błagać królową Esterę o życie, gdyż widział, że król postanowił jego zgubę.
And the king rose up from the banquet to go into the garden: and Aman began to entreat the queen; for he saw that he was in an evil case.
8 Potem król wrócił z ogrodu pałacowego do domu, gdzie się odbywała uczta, a Haman upadł na łoże, na którym siedziała Estera. Wtedy król powiedział: Czy jeszcze chce gwałcić królową przy mnie w domu? A gdy te słowa wyszły z ust króla, natychmiast zakryto twarz Hamana.
And the king returned from the garden; and Aman had fallen upon the bed, intreating the queen. And the king said, Will you even force [my] wife in my house? And when Aman heard it, he changed countenance.
9 I Charbona, jeden z eunuchów, powiedział do króla: Oto szubienica przygotowana przez Hamana dla Mardocheusza, który dbał o dobro króla, stoi przy domu Hamana, wysoka na pięćdziesiąt łokci. Król powiedział: Powieście go na niej.
And Bugathan, one of the chamberlains, said to the king, Behold, Aman has also prepared a gallows for Mardochaeus, who spoke concerning the king, and a gallows of fifty cubits high has been set up in the premises of Aman. And the king said, Let him be hanged thereon.
10 I powieszono Hamana na tej szubienicy, którą przygotował dla Mardocheusza. I tak gniew króla się uspokoił.
So Aman was hanged on the gallows that had been prepared for Mardochaeus: and then the king's wrath was appeased.
