II Tymoteusza 3
1 A to wiedz, że w ostatecznych dniach nastaną trudne czasy.
But, of this, be taking note—that, in last days, there will set in perilous seasons;
2 Ludzie bowiem będą samolubni, chciwi, chełpliwi, pyszni, bluźniący, nieposłuszni rodzicom, niewdzięczni, bezbożni;
For men will be—fond of themselves, fond of money, ostentatious, arrogant, defamers, to parents, unyielding, unthankful, unkind,
3 Bez naturalnej miłości, niedotrzymujący słowa, oszczercy, niepowściągliwi, okrutni, niemiłujący dobrych;
without natural affection, accepting no truce, given to intrigue, without self-control, uncivilized, unfriendly to good men,
4 Zdrajcy, porywczy, nadęci, miłujący bardziej rozkosze niż Boga;
traitors, reckless, beclouded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God,
5 Przybierający pozór pobożności, ale wyrzekający się jej mocy. Takich ludzi unikaj.
having a form of godliness, but, the power thereof, denying! and, from these, turn away;
6 Z takich bowiem są ci, którzy wkradają się do domów i usidlają naiwne kobietki obciążone grzechami, wiedzione przez rozmaite pożądliwości;
For, of these, are they who enter into the houses, and captivate silly women, [women] laden with sins, led on by manifold covetings,
7 Które zawsze się uczą, a nigdy nie mogą dojść do poznania prawdy.
Ever learning and never, unto a personal knowledge of truth, able to come;
8 Jak Jannes i Jambres sprzeciwiali się Mojżeszowi, tak też oni sprzeciwiają się prawdzie, ludzie o wypaczonym umyśle, odrzuceni jeśli chodzi o wiarę.
Moreover, like as, Jannes and Jambres, withstood Moses, so, these men also, withstand the truth, —men utterly corrupted in their mind, disapproved concerning their faith;
9 Lecz daleko nie zajdą, bo ich głupota będzie jawna dla wszystkich, jak to się stało i z tamtymi.
But they shall not force their way further, for, their folly, shall be, fully evident, unto all, —as also, that of those men, became.
10 Ale ty pojąłeś moją naukę, sposób życia, dążenia, wiarę, wytrwałość, miłość i cierpliwość;
But, thou, hast closely studied—my teaching, manner of life, purpose, faith, long-suffering, love, endurance,
11 Prześladowania, cierpienia, które mnie spotkały w Antiochii, w Ikonium [i] Listrze – prześladowania, które zniosłem, a ze wszystkich wyrwał mnie Pan.
persecutions, sufferings, what manner of things, befell me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra, what manner of persecutions, I endured, —and, out of all, the Lord, rescued me; —
12 Tak i wszyscy, którzy chcą żyć pobożnie w Chrystusie Jezusie, będą prześladowani.
Yea and, all who are determined to live in a godly manner in Christ Jesus, will be persecuted;
13 Lecz ludzie źli i zwodziciele [coraz bardziej] będą brnąć w zło, błądząc i [innych] wprowadzając w błąd.
Whereas, wicked men and howling impostors, will force their way to the worse, deceiving and being deceived.
14 Ty zaś trwaj w tym, czego się nauczyłeś i co ci powierzono, wiedząc, od kogo się tego nauczyłeś;
But, thou, —abide in the things which thou hast learned, and been entrusted with, knowing, from whom, thou hast learned [them], —
15 I ponieważ od dziecka znasz Pisma święte, które cię mogą uczynić mądrym ku zbawieniu przez wiarę, która jest w Chrystusie Jezusie.
And that, from a babe, those sacred letters, thou hast known which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through the faith which is in Christ Jesus:
16 Całe Pismo [jest] natchnione przez Boga i pożyteczne do nauki, do strofowania, do poprawiania, do wychowywania w sprawiedliwości;
Every scripture, [is] God-breathed, and profitable—unto teaching, unto conviction, unto correction, unto the discipline that is in righteousness, —
17 Aby człowiek Boży był doskonały, do wszelkiego dobrego dzieła w pełni przygotowany.
In order that, ready, may be the man, of God, unto every good work, being well-prepared.
