II Królewska 17
1 W dwunastym roku Achaza, króla Judy, Ozeasz, syn Eli, zaczął królować w Samarii nad Izraelem [i królował] dziewięć lat.
In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah began Hoshea the son of Elah to reign in Samaria over Israel, [and reigned] nine years.
2 Czynił on to, co złe w oczach PANA, jednak nie tak jak królowie Izraela, którzy byli przed nim.
And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, yet not as the kings of Israel that were before him.
3 Przeciw niemu wyruszył Salmanaser, król Asyrii, a Ozeasz został jego sługą i płacił mu daninę.
Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and brought him tribute.
4 I król Asyrii wykrył spisek Ozeasza. Ten bowiem wyprawił posłańców do So, króla Egiptu, i nie posłał corocznej daniny królowi Asyrii. Król Asyrii więc pojmał go i zamknął w więzieniu.
And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea; for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and offered no tribute to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.
5 Król Asyrii najechał całą ziemię, przybył do Samarii i oblegał ją przez trzy lata.
Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years.
6 A w dziewiątym roku Ozeasza król Asyrii zdobył Samarię, uprowadził Izraela do Asyrii i osiedlił ich w Chalach i Chaborze, nad rzeką Gozan, oraz w miastach Medów.
In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away unto Assyria, and placed them in Halah, and on the Habor, the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.
7 A stało się tak, [dlatego] że synowie Izraela zgrzeszyli przeciw PANU, swemu Bogu, który ich wyprowadził z ziemi Egiptu, spod ręki faraona, króla Egiptu, a bali się obcych bogów;
And it was so, because the children of Israel had sinned against Jehovah their God, who brought them up out of the land of Egypt from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods,
8 Postępując według ustaw pogan, których PAN wypędził sprzed oblicza synów Izraela, oraz [ustaw] królów Izraela, które stwarzali.
and walked in the statutes of the nations, whom Jehovah cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they made.
9 Synowie Izraela robili potajemnie przeciwko PANU, swemu Bogu, to, co nie było słuszne, i pobudowali sobie wyżyny we wszystkich swoich miastach, od wieży strażników aż do miasta warownego.
And the children of Israel did secretly things that were not right against Jehovah their God: and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fortified city;
10 Ustawiali sobie posągi i gaje na każdym wyniosłym pagórku i pod każdym zielonym drzewem;
and they set them up pillars and Asherim upon every high hill, and under every green tree;
11 I palili tam kadzidła na wszystkich wyżynach, tak jak narody, które PAN wypędził przed nimi, i popełniali niegodziwe czyny, pobudzając PANA do gniewu;
and there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the nations whom Jehovah carried away before them; and they wrought wicked things to provoke Jehovah to anger;
12 Służyli bożkom, o których PAN im powiedział: Nie czyńcie tego.
and they served idols, whereof Jehovah had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing.
13 A PAN świadczył przeciw Izraelowi i przeciw Judzie przez wszystkich proroków [i] wszystkich widzących, mówiąc: Odwróćcie się od swoich złych dróg i przestrzegajcie moich przykazań i moich nakazów według całego prawa, które nadałem waszym ojcom, a które przekazałem wam przez moje sługi, proroków.
Yet Jehovah testified unto Israel, and unto Judah, by every prophet, and every seer, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.
14 Lecz nie słuchali, ale uczynili twardym swój kark, jak kark ich ojców, którzy nie wierzyli w PANA, swego Boga.
Notwithstanding, they would not hear, but hardened their neck, like to the neck of their fathers, who believed not in Jehovah their God.
15 I wzgardzili jego nakazami i przymierzem, które zawarł z ich ojcami, oraz jego świadectwami, którymi świadczył przeciwko nim, i chodzili za marnościami, stali się próżni i naśladowali pogan, którzy ich otaczali, co do których PAN im rozkazał, aby nie czynili tak jak oni.
And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified unto them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and [went] after the nations that were round about them, concerning whom Jehovah had charged them that they should not do like them.
16 I opuścili wszystkie przykazania PANA, swego Boga, i wykonali sobie lane posągi – dwa cielce. Zrobili sobie też gaje, oddawali pokłon wszystkim zastępom niebieskim i służyli Baalowi.
And they forsook all the commandments of Jehovah their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made an Asherah, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.
17 Przeprowadzali swoich synów i swoje córki przez ogień, uprawiali wróżbiarstwo i czarnoksięstwo i zaprzedali się, aby czynić to, co złe w oczach PANA, pobudzając go do gniewu.
And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, to provoke him to anger.
18 Dlatego PAN bardzo się rozgniewał na Izraela i odrzucił go sprzed swego oblicza. Nic nie pozostało oprócz samego pokolenia Judy.
Therefore Jehovah was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.
19 Ale również i Juda nie przestrzegał przykazań PANA, swego Boga, lecz postępował według nakazów, które Izrael stworzył.
Also Judah kept not the commandments of Jehovah their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.
20 PAN więc odrzucił całe potomstwo Izraela, trapił ich i wydał w ręce grabieżców, aż [wreszcie] odrzucił ich sprzed swego oblicza.
And Jehovah rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.
21 Oderwał bowiem Izraela od domu Dawida, a oni ustanowili królem Jeroboama, syna Nebata. Jeroboam zaś odwiódł Izraela od naśladowania PANA i przywiódł go do popełnienia wielkiego grzechu.
For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drove Israel from following Jehovah, and made them sin a great sin.
22 I synowie Izraela chodzili we wszystkich grzechach Jeroboama, które czynił, a nie odstąpili od nich;
And the children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them;
23 Aż PAN odrzucił Izraela sprzed swego oblicza, jak zapowiedział przez wszystkie swoje sługi, proroków. I tak Izrael został uprowadzony ze swojej ziemi do Asyrii, [i tak jest] aż do dziś.
until Jehovah removed Israel out of his sight, as he spake by all his servants the prophets. So Israel was carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.
24 Potem król Asyrii sprowadził [ludzi] z Babilonu, z Kuta, z Awwa i z Chamat, i z Sefarwaim i osiedlił ich w miastach Samarii zamiast synów Izraela. Oni zaś posiedli Samarię i mieszkali w jej miastach.
And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Avva, and from Hamath and Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel; and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.
25 A gdy zaczęli tam mieszkać, nie bali się PANA. PAN więc zesłał na nich lwy, które ich zabijały.
And so it was, at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared not Jehovah: therefore Jehovah sent lions among them, which killed some of them.
26 I doniesiono o tym królowi Asyrii: Narody, które uprowadziłeś i osiedliłeś w miastach Samarii, nie znają zwyczajów Boga tej ziemi. Dlatego zesłał na nich lwy, a oto zabijają ich, ponieważ nie znają zwyczajów Boga tej ziemi.
Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast carried away, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the law of the god of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the law of the god of the land.
27 Wtedy król Asyrii rozkazał: Zaprowadźcie tam jednego z kapłanów, których stamtąd uprowadziliście, aby poszedł i tam zamieszkał, i nauczał ich zwyczajów Boga tej ziemi.
Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them the law of the god of the land.
28 Przybył więc jeden z kapłanów, których uprowadzono z Samarii, i zamieszkał w Betel, i nauczał ich, jak mają się bać PANA.
So one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and dwelt in Beth-el, and taught them how they should fear Jehovah.
29 Jednakże każdy naród czynił sobie własnych bogów i stawiał ich w domach wyżyn, które Samarytanie pobudowali, każdy naród w swoich miastach, w których mieszkał.
Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities wherein they dwelt.
30 Babilończycy zrobili Sukkot-Benota, a ludzie z Kuta zrobili Nergala, a ludzie z Chamat zrobili Aszimę.
And the men of Babylon made Succoth-benoth, and the men of Cuth made Nergal, and the men of Hamath made Ashima,
31 Awwici zrobili Nibchaza i Tartaka, a Sefarwaici palili swoje dzieci w ogniu dla Adrameleka i Anameleka, bogów Sefarwaim.
and the Avvites made Nibhaz and Tartak; and the Sepharvites burnt their children in the fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim.
32 Tak więc bali się PANA i ustanowili spośród siebie kapłanów wyżyn, którzy składali dla nich [ofiary] w domach wyżyn.
So they feared Jehovah, and made unto them from among themselves priests of the high places, who sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places.
33 Bali się PANA i służyli swoim bogom według zwyczajów tych narodów, skąd zostali uprowadzeni.
They feared Jehovah, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations from among whom they had been carried away.
34 Aż do tego dnia postępują według dawnych zwyczajów. Nie boją się PANA i nie czynią według jego ustaw, nakazów, prawa i przykazania, które PAN nakazał synom Jakuba, któremu nadał imię Izrael.
Unto this day they do after the former manner: they fear not Jehovah, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law or after the commandment which Jehovah commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;
35 PAN zawarł też z nimi przymierze i rozkazał im: Nie bójcie się obcych bogów, nie kłaniajcie się im, nie służcie im ani nie składajcie im ofiar;
with whom Jehovah had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them:
36 Lecz PANA, który was wyprowadził z ziemi Egiptu wielką mocą i wyciągniętym ramieniem, jego się bójcie, jemu oddawajcie pokłon i jemu składajcie ofiary.
but Jehovah, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and with an outstretched arm, him shall ye fear, and unto him shall ye bow yourselves, and to him shall ye sacrifice:
37 Przestrzegajcie także ustaw, nakazów, prawa i przykazań, które wam napisał, i wypełniajcie je po wszystkie dni, a nie bójcie się innych bogów.
and the statutes and the ordinances, and the law and the commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods:
38 Nie zapominajcie o przymierzu, które zawarłem z wami, i nie bójcie się innych bogów.
and the covenant that I have made with you ye shall not forget; neither shall ye fear other gods:
39 Ale PANA, waszego Boga, bójcie się, a on was wybawi z ręki wszystkich waszych wrogów.
but Jehovah your God shall ye fear; and he will deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.
40 Lecz oni nie usłuchali, ale postępowali według dawnych zwyczajów.
Howbeit they did not hearken, but they did after their former manner.
41 Te narody więc bały się PANA i służyły swoim rytym bożkom, zarówno ich dzieci, jak i dzieci ich dzieci. Jak czynili ich ojcowie, tak i oni czynią aż do dziś.
So these nations feared Jehovah, and served their graven images; their children likewise, and their children’s children, as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.
