Psalmów 78
1 Pieśń wyuczająca podana Asafowi. Słuchaj, ludu mój! zakonu mego; nakłońcież uszów swych do słów ust moich.
Hear my teaching, my people. Turn your ears to the words of my mouth.
2 Otworzę w podobieństwie usta moje, a będę opowiadał przypowiastki starodawne.
I will open my mouth in a parable. I will explain mysteries from days of old,
3 Cośmy słyszeli, i poznali, i co nam ojcowie nasi opowiadali.
Which we have sh'ma ·heard obeyed· and known, and our fathers have told us.
4 Nie zataimy tego przed synami ich, którzy przyszłym potomkom swoim opowiadać będą chwały Pańskie, i moc jego, i cuda jego, które uczynił.
We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the tehilahot ·praise songs· of Adonai, his strength, and his wondrous deeds that he has done.
5 Bo wzbudził świadectwo w Jakóbie, a zakon wydał w Izraelu; przykazał ojcom naszym, aby to do wiadomości podawali synom swoim,
For he established a testimony in Jacob [Supplanter], and appointed a teaching in Israel [God prevails], which he enjoined our fathers, that they should make them known to their children;
6 Aby poznał wiek potomny, synowie, którzy się narodzić mieli, a oni zaś powstawszy, aby to opowiadali synom swoim;
that the generation to come might know, even the children who should be born; who should arise and tell their children,
7 Aby pokładali w Bogu nadzieję swoję, a nie zapominali na sprawy Boże, ale strzegli przykazań jego;
that they might set their hope in God, and not forget God’s deeds, but keep his mitzvot ·instructions·,
8 Aby się nie stali jako ojcowie ich narodem odpornym i nieposłusznym, narodem, który nie wygotował serca swego, aby był wierny Bogu duch jego.
and might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that didn’t make their hearts loyal, whose spirit was not steadfast with God.
9 Albo jako synowie Efraimowi zbrojni, którzy, choć umieli z łuku strzelać, wszakże w dzień wojny tył podali.
The children of Ephraim [Fruit], being armed and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle.
10 Bo nie przestrzegali przymierza Bożego, a według zakonu jego zbraniali się chodzić.
They didn’t keep God’s covenant, and refused to walk in his torot ·teachings·.
11 Zapomnieli na sprawy jego, i na dziwne dzieła jego, które im pokazywał.
They forgot his doings, his wondrous deeds that he had shown them.
12 Przed ojcami ich czynił cuda w ziemi Egipskiej, na polu Soan.
He did marvelous things in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], in the field of Zoan.
13 Rozdzielił morze, i przeprowadził ich, i sprawił, że stanęły wody jako kupa.
He split the sea, and caused them to pass through. He made the waters stand as a heap.
14 Prowadził ich w obłoku we dnie, a każdej nocy w jasnym ogniu.
In the daytime he also led them with a cloud, and all night with a light of fire.
15 Rozszczepił skały na puszczy, a napoił ich, jako z przepaści wielkich.
He split rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink abundantly as out of the depths.
16 Wywiódł strumienie ze skały, a uczynił, że wody ciekły jako rzeki.
He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.
17 A wszakże oni przyczynili grzechów przeciwko niemu, a wzruszyli Najwyższego na puszczy do gniewu;
Yet they still went on to sin against him, to rebel against haElyon [the Most High] in the desert.
18 I kusili Boga w sercu swem, żądając pokarmu według lubości swojej.
They tempted God in their heart by asking food according to their desire.
19 A mówili przeciwko Bogu temi słowy: Izali może Bóg zgotować stół na tej puszczy?
Yes, they spoke against God. They said, “Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?
20 Oto uderzył w skałę, a wypłynęły wody, i rzeki wezbrały; izali też będzie mógł dać chleb? Izali nagotuje mięsa ludowi swemu?
Behold, he struck the rock, so that waters gushed out, and streams overflowed. Can he give bread also? Will he provide meat for his people?”
21 Przetoż usłyszawszy to Pan, rozgniewał się, a ogień się zapalił przeciw Jakóbowi, także i popędliwość powstała przeciw Izraelowi;
Therefore Adonai sh'ma ·heard obeyed·, and was angry. A fire was kindled against Jacob [Supplanter], anger also went up against Israel [God prevails],
22 Przeto, iż nie wierzyli Bogu, a nie mieli nadziei w zbawieniu jego.
because they didn’t believe in God, and didn’t trust in his yishu'ah ·salvation·.
23 Choć był rozkazał obłokom z góry, i forty niebieskie otworzył.
Yet he enjoined the skies above, and opened the doors of heaven.
24 I spuścił im jako deszcz mannę ku pokarmowi, a pszenicę niebieską dał im.
He rained down manna ·what is it· on them to eat, and gave them food from the sky.
25 Chleb mocarzów jadł człowiek, a zesłał im pokarmów do sytości.
Man ate the bread of angels. He sent them food to the full.
26 Obrócił wiatr ze wschodu na powietrzu, a przywiódł mocą swą wiatr z południa;
He caused the east wind to blow in the sky. By his power he guided the south wind.
27 I spuścił na nich mięso jako proch, i ptastwo skrzydlate jako piasek morski;
He rained also meat on them as the dust; winged birds as the sand of the seas.
28 Spuścił je w pośród obozu ich, wszędy około namiotów ich.
He let them fall in the middle of their camp, around their habitations.
29 I jedli, a nasyceni byli hojnie, i dał im, czego żądali.
So they ate, and were well filled. He gave them their own desire.
30 A gdy jeszcze nie wypełnili żądości swej, gdy jeszcze pokarm był w ustach ich:
They didn’t turn from their cravings. Their food was yet in their mouths,
31 Tedy zapalczywość Boża przypadła na nich, i pobił tłustych ich, a przedniejszych z Izraela poraził.
when the anger of God went up against them, killed some of their fattest, and struck down the young men of Israel [God prevails].
32 Ale w tem wszystkiem jeszcze grzeszyli, i nie wierzyli cudom jego;
For all this they still sinned, and didn’t believe in his wondrous works.
33 Przetoż sprawił, że marnie dokonali dni swoich, i lat swoich w strachu.
Therefore he consumed their days in vanity, and their years in terror.
34 Gdy ich tracił, jeźliże go szukali, i nawracali się, a szukali z rana Boga,
When he killed them, then they inquired after him. They made teshuvah ·complete return· and sought God earnestly.
35 Przypominając sobie, iż Bóg był skałą ich, a Bóg najwyższy odkupicielem ich:
They remembered that God was their rock, haElyon [the Most High] God, their redeemer.
36 (Aczkolwiek pochlebiali mu usty swemi, i językiem swoim kłamali mu;
But they flattered him with their mouth, and lied to him with their tongue.
37 A serce ich nie było szczere przed nim, ani wiernymi byli w przymierzu jego.)
For their heart was not right with him, neither were they faithful in his covenant.
38 On jednak będąc miłosierny odpuszczał nieprawości ich, a nie zatracał ich, ale częstokroć odwracał gniew swój, a nie pobudzał wszystkiego gniewu swego;
But he, being merciful, forgave iniquity, and didn’t destroy them. Yes, many times he turned his anger away, and didn’t stir up all his wrath.
39 Bo pamiętał, że są ciałem, wiatrem, który odchodzi, a nie wraca się zaś.
He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passes away, and does not come again.
40 Jako go często draźnili na puszczy, i do boleści przywodzili na pustyniach?
How often they rebelled against him in the wilderness, and grieved him in the desert!
41 Bo coraz kusili Boga, a Świętemu Izraelskiemu granice zamierzali.
They turned again and tempted God, and provoked the haKadosh Isra'el [the Holy One of God prevails].
42 Nie pamiętali na rękę jego, i na on dzień, w który ich wybawił z utrapienia;
They didn’t remember his hand, nor the day when he redeemed them from the adversary;
43 Gdy czynił w Egipcie znaki swoje, a cuda swe na polu Soan;
how he set his signs in Egypt [Abode of slavery], his wonders in the field of Zoan,
44 Gdy obrócił w krew rzeki ich, i strumienie ich, tak, że z nich pić nie mogli.
he turned their rivers into blood, and their streams, so that they could not drink.
45 Przepuścił na nich rozmaite muchy, aby ich kąsały, i żaby, aby ich gubiły:
He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them.
46 I dał chrząszczom urodzaje ich, a prace ich szarańczy.
He gave also their increase to the caterpillar, and their labor to the locust.
47 Potłukł gradem szczepy ich, a drzewa leśnych fig ich gradem lodowym.
He destroyed their vines with hail, their sycamore fig trees with frost.
48 I podał gradowi bydło ich, a majętność ich węglu ognistemu.
He gave over their livestock also to the hail, and their flocks to hot thunderbolts.
49 Posłał na nich gniew zapalczywości swojej, popędliwość, i rozgniewanie, i uciśnienie, przypuściwszy na nich aniołów złych.
He threw on them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, indignation, and trouble, and a band of angels of evil.
50 Wyprostował ścieżkę gniewowi swemu, nie zachował od śmierci duszy ich, i na bydło ich powietrze dopuścił;
He made a path for his anger. He didn’t spare their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence,
51 I pobił wszystko pierworodztwo w Egipcie, pierwiastki mocy ich w przybytkach Chamowych;
and struck all the firstborn in Egypt [Abode of slavery], the chief of their strength in the tents of Ham [Hot, Intensity, Passion].
52 Ale jako owce wyprowadził lud swój, a wodził ich jako stada po puszczy.
But he led out his own people like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.
53 Wodził ich w bezpieczeństwie, tak, że się nie lękali, (a nieprzyjaciół ich okryło morze, )
He led them safely, so that they were not afraid, but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.
54 Aż ich przywiódł do świętej granicy swojej, na onę górę, której nabyła prawica jego.
He brought them to the border of his sanctuary, to this mountain, which his right hand had taken.
55 I wyrzucił przed twarzą ich narody, i sprawił, że im przyszły na sznur dziedzictwa ich, ażeby mieszkały w przybytkach ich pokolenia Izraelskie.
He also divorced and drove out the nations before them, allotted them for an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel [God prevails] to dwell in their tents.
56 A wszakże przecież kusili i draźnili Boga najwyższego, a świadectwa jego nie strzegli.
Yet they tempted and rebelled against haElyon [the Most High] God, and didn’t keep his testimonies;
57 Ale się odwrócili, i przewrotnie się obchodzili, jako i ojcowie ich; wywrócili się jako łuk omylny.
but turned back, and dealt treacherously like their fathers. They were turned aside like a deceitful bow.
58 Bo go wzruszyli do gniewu wyżynami swemi, a rytemi bałwanami swemi pobudzili go do zapalczywości.
For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their engraved images.
59 Co słysząc Bóg rozgniewał się, i zbrzydził sobie bardzo Izraela,
When God sh'ma ·heard obeyed· this, he was angry, and greatly abhorred Israel [God prevails];
60 Tak, że opuściwszy przybytek w Sylo, namiot, który postawił między ludźmi,
So that he abandoned the tent of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men;
61 Podał w niewolę moc swoję, i sławę swoję w ręce nieprzyjacielskie.
and delivered his strength into captivity, his glory into the adversary’s hand.
62 Dał pod miecz lud swój, a na dziedzictwo swoje rozgniewał się.
He also gave his people over to the sword, and was angry with his inheritance.
63 Młodzieńców jego ogień pożarł, a panienki jego nie były uczczone.
Fire devoured their young men. Their virgins had no wedding song.
64 Kapłani jego od miecza polegli, a wdowy jego nie płakały.
Their priests fell by the sword, and their widows couldn’t weep.
65 Lecz potem ocucił się Pan jako ze snu, jako mocarz wykrzykający od wina.
Then the Lord awakened as one out of sleep, like a mighty man who shouts by reason of wine.
66 I zaraził nieprzyjaciół swoich na pośladkach, a na wieczną hańbę podał ich.
He struck his adversaries backward. He put them to a perpetual reproach.
67 Ale choć wzgardził namiotem Józefowym, a pokolenia Efraimowego nie obrał,
Moreover he rejected the tent of Joseph [May he add], and didn’t choose the tribe of Ephraim [Fruit],
68 Wszakże obrał pokolenie Judowe, i górę Syon, którą umiłował.
But chose the tribe of Judah [Praised], Mount Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking] which he 'ahav ·affectionately loved·.
69 I wystawił sobie jako pałac wysoki świątnicę swoję, jako ziemię, którą ugruntował na wieki.
He built his sanctuary like the heights, like the earth which he has established forever.
70 I obrał Dawida sługę swego, wziąwszy go z obór owczych;
He also chose David [Beloved] his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds;
71 Gdy chodził za owcami kotnemi, przyprowadził go, aby pasł Jakóba, lud jego, i Izraela, dziedzictwo jego;
from following the ewes that have their young, he brought him to be the shepherd of Jacob [Supplanter], his people, and Israel [God prevails], his inheritance.
72 Który ich pasł w szczerości serca swego, a w roztropności rąk swoich prowadził ich.
So he was their shepherd according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.
