Psalmów 147
1 Chwalcie Pana; albowiem dobra rzecz jest, śpiewać Bogu naszemu; albowiem to wdzięczna i przystojna jest chwała.
Halleluyah ·praise Yah·, for it is good to sing tehilahot ·praise songs· to our God; for it is pleasant and fitting to make zahmar ·musical praise· unto him.
2 Pan Jeruzalem buduje, a rozproszonego Izraela zgromadza.
Adonai builds up Jerusalem [City of peace]. He gathers together the outcasts of Israel [God prevails].
3 Który uzdrawia skruszonych na sercu, a zawiązuje boleści ich.
He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
4 Który rachuje liczbę gwiazd, a każdą z nich imieniem jej nazywa.
He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by their names.
5 Wielki jest Pan nasz, i wielki w mocy; rozumienia jego niemasz liczby.
Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.
6 Pan pokornych podnosi; ale niepobożnych aż ku ziemi uniża.
Adonai upholds the humble. He brings the wicked down to the ground.
7 Śpiewajcież Panu z chwałą; śpiewajcie Bogu naszemu na harfie;
Sing to Adonai with thanksgiving. Sing zahmar ·musical praise· on the harp to our God,
8 Który okrywa niebiosa obłokami, a deszcz ziemi gotuje: który czyni, że rośnie trawa po górach;
who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass grow on the mountains.
9 Który daje bydłu pokarm ich, i kruczętom młodym, które wołają do niego.
He provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call.
10 Nie kocha się w mocy końskiej, ani się kocha w goleniach męskich.
He does not delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
11 Kocha się Pan w tych, którzy się go boją, a którzy ufają w miłosierdziu jego.
Adonai takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his cheshed ·loving-kindness·.
12 Chwalże, Jeruzalemie! Pana; chwalże, Syonie! Boga twego.
Praise Adonai, Jerusalem [City of peace]! Praise your God, Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking]!
13 Albowiem on umacnia zawory bram twoich, a błogosławi synów twoich w pośrodku ciebie.
For he has strengthened the bars of your gates. He has blessed your children within you.
14 On czyni pokój w granicach twoich, a najwyborniejszą pszenicą nasyca cię.
He makes peace in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat.
15 On wysyła słowo swe na ziemię; bardzo prędko bieży wyrok jego.
He sends his word out over the earth. His word runs very swiftly.
16 On daje śnieg jako wełnę, szron jako popiół rozsypuje.
He gives snow like wool, and scatters frost like ashes.
17 Rzuca lód swój jako bryły; przed zimnem jego któż się ostoi?
He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can stand before his cold?
18 Posyła słowo swoje, i roztapia je; powienie wiatrem swym, a rozlewają wody.
He sends out his word, and melts them. He causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
19 Oznajmuje słowo swe Jakóbowi, ustawy swe i sądy swe Izraelowi.
He shows his word to Jacob [Supplanter]; his statutes and his judgments to Israel [God prevails].
20 Nie uczynił tak żadnemu narodowi; przetoż nie poznali sądów jego. Halleluja.
He has not done this for just any nation. They don’t know his judgments. Halleluyah ·praise Yah·!
