1 Tedy przyszły córki Salfaada, syna Heferowego, syna Galaadowego, syna Machyrowego, syna Manasesowego, z pokolenia Manasesa syna Józefowego; a te są imiona córek jego: Machla, Noa i Hegla, i Melcha i Tersa;
Then the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh [Causing to forget], of the families of Manasseh [Causing to forget] the son of Joseph [May he add] came near. These are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah [Rest], and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
2 I stanęły przed Mojżeszem i przed Eleazarem kapłanem i przed książęty i wszystkiem zgromadzeniem u drzwi namiotu zgromadzenia, i rzekły:
They stood before Moses [Drawn out], and before Eleazar [Help of God] the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, at the door of the Tent of Meeting, saying,
3 Ojciec nasz umarł na puszczy, a on nie był w poczcie tych, którzy się byli przeciw Panu zbuntowali w spiknieniu Korego; ale dla grzechu swego umarł, nie mając synów.
“Our father died in the wilderness. He was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against Adonai in the company of Korach [Bald one, Frost], but he died in his own sin. He had no sons.
4 Czemuż by zginąć miało imię ojca naszego z domu jego, przeto, że nie miał syna? dajcie nam dziedzictwo między bracią ojca naszego.
Why should the name of our father be taken away from among his family, because he had no son? Give to us a possession among the brothers of our father.”
5 Tedy odniósł Mojżesz sprawę ich do Pana.
Moses [Drawn out] brought their mishpat ·case· before Adonai.
6 I rzekł Pan do Mojżesza:
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
7 Dobrze mówią córki Salfaadowe: Daj im koniecznie osiadłość dziedzictwa między bracią ojca ich, a przenieś dziedzictwo ojca ich na nie.
“The daughters of Zelophehad speak right. You shall surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brothers. You shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.
8 Synom także Izraelskim powiedz, mówiąc: Gdyby kto umarł, nie mając syna, tedy przeniesiecie dziedzictwo jego na córkę jego.
You shall speak to the children of Israel [God prevails], saying, ‘If a man dies, and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.
9 A jeśliby nie miał i córki, tedy dacie dziedzictwo jego braci jego.
If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers.
10 A jeśliby i braci nie miał, tedy dacie dziedzictwo jego braci ojca jego.
If he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father’s brothers.
11 A jeśliby nie było braci ojca jego, tedy dacie dziedzictwo jego pokrewnemu jego, najbliższemu jego z domu jego, aby je odziedziczył. A będzie to synom Izraelskim za ustawę prawną, jako rozkazał Pan Mojżeszowi.
If his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his kinsman who is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it. This shall be a statute and judgement for the children of Israel [God prevails], as Adonai enjoined Moses [Drawn out].’”
12 Potem rzekł Pan do Mojżesza: Wstąp na tę górę Abarym, a oglądaj ziemię, którąm dał synom Izraelskim.
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Go up into this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel [God prevails].
13 A gdy ją oglądasz, przyłączon będziesz do ludu twego i ty, jako jest przyłączony Aaron, brat twój.
When you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron [Light-bringer] your brother was gathered;
14 Przeto żeście byli odpornymi słowu mojemu na puszczy Syn, przy poswarku zgromadzenia, i nie poświęciliście mię przy wodach przed oczyma ich. Oneć to są wody poswarku w Kades, na puszczy Syn.
because in the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, to honor me as holy at the waters before their eyes.” (These are the waters of Meribah [Quarreling] of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)
15 Tedy rzekł Mojżesz do Pana, mówiąc:
Moses [Drawn out] spoke to Adonai, saying,
16 Niech opatrzy Pan, Bóg duchów wszelkiego ciała, mężem godnym to zgromadzenie;
“Let Adonai, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,
17 Któryby wychodził przed nimi, i któryby wchodził przed nimi, i któryby je przywodził, aby nie był lud Pański jako owce, nie mające pasterza.
who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in; that the congregation of Adonai not be as sheep which have no shepherd.”
18 Tedy rzekł Pan do Mojżesza: Weźmij do siebie Jozuego, syna Nunowego, męża, w którym jest Duch mój, a włóż nań rękę swoję;
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Take Joshua [Salvation Yah] the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him.
19 I postaw go przed Eleazarem kapłanem, i przed wszystkiem zgromadzeniem, a dasz mu naukę przed oczyma ich;
Set him before Eleazar [Help of God] the priest, and before all the congregation; and enjoin him in their sight.
20 A udzielisz mu zacności swej, aby go słuchało wszystko zgromadzenie synów Izraelskich;
You shall give authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails] may obey.
21 Który przed twarzą Eleazara kapłana stawać będzie, aby się zań radził sądu Urim przed Panem. Na rozkazanie jego wychodzić będą, on, i wszyscy synowie Izraelscy z nim, i wszystko zgromadzenie.
He shall stand before Eleazar [Help of God] the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgments of the Urim before Adonai. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel [God prevails] with him, even all the congregation.”
22 Uczynił tedy Mojżesz, jako mu był rozkazał Pan; a wziąwszy Jozuego postawił go przed Eleazarem kapłanem, i przed wszystkiem zgromadzeniem.
Moses [Drawn out] did as Adonai enjoined him. He took Joshua [Salvation Yah], and set him before Eleazar [Help of God] the priest, and before all the congregation.
23 I włożywszy nań ręce swe, dał mu naukę, jako mówił Pan przez Mojżesza.
He laid his hands on him, and enjoined him, as Adonai spoke by Moses [Drawn out].
