Jana 17

1 To powiedziawszy Jezus, podniósł oczy swoje w niebo i rzekł: Ojcze! przyszła godzina, uwielbij Syna twego, aby też i Syn twój uwielbił ciebie.

After saying this, Jesus raised his eyes heavenwards, and said: ‘Father, the hour has come; honour your Son, so that your Son may honour you;

2 Jakoś mu dał moc nad wszelkiem ciałem, aby tym wszystkim, któreś mu dał, dał żywot wieczny. (aiōnios g166)

even as you gave him power over all humanity, so that he should give eternal life to everyone you have given him. (aiōnios g166)

3 A toć jest żywot wieczny, aby cię poznali samego prawdziwego Boga, i któregoś posłał, Jezusa Chrystusa. (aiōnios g166)

And the eternal life is this – to know you the one true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent as your messenger. (aiōnios g166)

4 Jam cię uwielbił na ziemi, i dokończyłem sprawę, którąś mi dał, abym ją czynił.

I have honoured you on earth by completing the work which you have given me to do;

5 A teraz uwielbij mię ty, Ojcze! u siebie samego tą chwałą, którąm miał u ciebie, pierwej, niżeli świat był.

and now do you honour me, Father, at your own side, with the honour which I had at your side before the world began.

6 Objawiłem imię twoje ludziom, któreś mi dał z świata; toć byli i dałeś mi je, i zachowali słowa twoje.

I have revealed you to those whom you gave me from the world; they were your own, and you gave them to me; and they have laid your message to heart.

7 A teraz poznali, iż wszystko, coś mi dał, od ciebie jest.

They recognise now that everything that you gave me was from you;

8 Albowiem słowa, któreś mi dał, dałem im; a oni je przyjęli, i poznali prawdziwie, iżem od ciebie wyszedł, a uwierzyli, żeś ty mię posłał.

for I have given them the teaching which you gave me, and they received it, and clearly understood that I came from you, and they believed that you have sent me as your messenger.

9 Jać za nimi proszę, a nie za światem proszę, ale za tymi, któreś mi dał; bo twoi są.

I intercede for them; I am not interceding for the world, but for those whom you have given me, for they are your own –

10 I wszystko moje jest twoje, a twoje moje, i uwielbionym jest w nich.

All that is mine is yours, and all that is yours is mine – and I am honoured in them.

11 A nie jestem więcej na świecie, ale oni są na świecie, a ja do ciebie idę. Ojcze święty, zachowaj je w imieniu twojem, któreś mi dał, aby byli jedno, jako i my.

Now I am to be in this world no longer, but they are still to be in the world, and I am to come to you. Holy Father, keep them by that revelation of your name which you have given me, so that they may be one, as we are.

12 Gdym z nimi był na świecie, jam je zachował w imieniu twojem, któreś mi dał; strzegłem ich i żaden z nich nie zginął, tylko on syn zatracenia, żeby się Pismo wypełniło.

While I was with them, I kept them by that revelation, and I have guarded them; and not one of them has been lost, except that lost soul – in fulfilment of scripture.

13 Ale teraz do ciebie idę i mówię to na świecie, aby mieli radość moję doskonałą w sobie.

But now I am to come to you; and I am speaking like this, while still in the world, so that they may have my own joy, in all its fullness, in their hearts.

14 Jam im dał słowo twoje, a świat je miał w nienawiści; bo nie są z świata, jako i ja nie jestem z świata.

I have given them your message; and the world hated them, because they do not belong to the world, even as I do not belong to the world.

15 Nie proszę, abyś je wziął z świata, ale abyś je zachował ode złego.

I do not ask you to take them out of the world, but to keep them from evil.

16 Nie sąć z świata, jako i ja nie jestem z świata.

They do not belong to the world, even as I do not belong to the world.

17 Poświęć je w prawdzie twojej; słowo twoje jest prawdą.

Consecrate them by the truth; your message is truth.

18 Jakoś ty mię posłał na świat, tak i ja posyłam je na świat.

Just as you have sent me as your messenger to the world, so I send them as my messengers to the world.

19 A ja poświęcam samego siebie za nich, aby i oni poświęceni byli w prawdzie.

And it is for their sakes that I am consecrating myself, so that they also may be truly consecrated.

20 Nie tylko za tymi proszę, lecz i za onymi, którzy przez słowo ich uwierzą w mię;

But it is not only for them that I am interceding, but also for those who believe in me through their message,

21 Aby wszyscy byli jedno, jako ty, Ojcze! we mnie, a ja w tobie; aby i oni w nas jedno byli, aby świat uwierzył, żeś ty mię posłał.

that they all may be one – that as you, Father, are in union with us – and so the world may believe that you have sent me as your messenger.

22 A ja tę chwałę, którąś mi dał, dałem im, aby byli jedno, jako my jedno jesteśmy;

I have given them the honour which you have given me, so that they may be one as we are one –

23 Ja w nich, a ty we mnie, aby byli doskonałymi w jedno, a iżby poznał świat, żeś ty mię posłał, a iżeś je umiłował, jakoś i mię umiłował.

I in union with them and you with me – so that they may be perfected in their union, and so that the world may know that you have sent me as your messenger, and that you have loved them as you have loved me.

24 Ojcze! któreś mi dał, chcę, abym gdziem ja jest, i oni byli ze mną, aby oglądali chwałę moję, którąś mi dał; albowiemeś mię umiłował przed założeniem świata.

Father, my desire for all those whom you have given me is that they may be with me where I am, so that they may see the honour which you have given me; for you did love me before the beginning of the world.

25 Ojcze sprawiedliwy! i świat cię nie poznał; alem ja cię poznał, a i ci poznali, żeś ty mię posłał.

Righteous Father, though the world did not know you, I knew you; and these people knew that you have sent me as your messenger.

26 I uczyniłem im znajome imię twoje i znajome uczynię, aby miłość, którąś mię umiłował, w nich była, a ja w nich.

I have made you known to them, and will do so still; that the love that you have had for me may be in their hearts, and that I may be in them also.’
