Hioba 19
1 A odpowiadając Ijob rzekł:
Then Job answered and said,
2 Dokądże trapić będziecie duszę moję, a nacierać na mię mowami swemi?
How long will you vex my soul, and destroy me with words? only know that the Lord has dealt with me thus.
3 Już dziesięćkroć zawstydziliście mię, i nie wstydże was, że się tak zatwardzacie przeciwko mnie?
You speak against me; you do not feel for me, but bear hard upon me.
4 A niech tak będzie, żem zbłądził; przy mnie zostanie błąd mój.
Yes verily, I have erred in truth, (but the error abides with myself) in having spoken words which it was not right [to speak]; and my words err, and are unreasonable.
5 A jeźli się przeciw mnie wynosicie, a obwiniacie mię pohańbieniem mojem,
But alas! for you magnify yourselves against me, and insult me with reproach.
6 Wiedzcież, żeć mię Bóg odwrócił, i siecią swoją obtoczył mię.
Know then that it is the Lord that has troubled [me], and has raised his bulwark against me.
7 Oto, wołamli o krzywdę, nie bywam wysłuchany; krzyczęli, niemasz sądu.
Behold, I laugh at reproach; I will not speak: [or] I will cry out, but [there is] nowhere judgement.
8 Drogę moję zagrodził, żebym przejść nie mógł, a na ścieszce mojej ciemności położył.
I am fenced round about, and can by no means escape: he has set darkness before my face.
9 Z sławy mojej złupił mię, i zdjął koronę z głowy mojej.
And he has stripped me of my glory, and has taken the crown from my head.
10 Popsuł mię zewsząd, abym zaginął, a wyrwał jako drzewo nadzieję moję.
He has torn me around about, and I am gone: and he has cut off my hope like a tree.
11 Nadto zapalił się na mię gniew jego, a policzył mię w poczet nieprzyjaciół swoich.
And he has dreadfully handled me in anger, and has counted me for an enemy.
12 Przyszły razem hufy jego, i utorowały przeciwko mnie drogę swoję, i obległy w około namiot mój.
His troops also came upon me with one accord, liars in wait compassed my ways.
13 Braci moich odemnie oddalił, a znajomi moi stronią odemnie.
My brethren have stood aloof from me; they have recognised strangers [rather] than me: and my friends have become pitiless.
14 Opuścili mię bliscy moi, a znajomi moi zapomnieli mię.
My nearest of kin have not acknowledged me, and they that knew my name, have forgotten me.
15 Komornicy domu mego, i służebnice moje mają mię za obcego, cudzoziemcem stałem się w oczach ich.
[As for] my household, and my maidservants, I was a stranger before them.
16 Wołamli na sługę mego, nie ozywa mi się, chociaż go proszę ustami memi.
I called my servant, and he listened not; and my mouth entreated [him].
17 Tchem moim brzydzi się żona moja, choć proszę przez synów żywota mego.
And I implored my wife, and earnestly entreated the sons of my concubines.
18 I najlichsi pogardzają mną, a gdy powstaję, urągają mi.
But they rejected me for ever; whenever I rise up, they speak against me.
19 Brzydzą się mną wszyscy najwierniejsi moi, a którychem umiłował, stali mi się przeciwnymi.
They that saw me abhorred me: the very persons whom I had loved, rose up against me.
20 Do skóry mojej, jako do ciała mego przyschła kość moja; skóra tylko została około zębów moich.
My flesh is corrupt under my skin, and my bones are held in [my] teeth.
21 Zmiłujcie się nademną, zmiłujcie się nademną, wy przyjaciele moi! bo ręka Boża dotknęła mię.
Pity me, pity me, O friends; for it is the hand of the Lord that has touched me.
22 Czemuż mię prześladujecie, jako Bóg, a ciała mego nie możecie się nasycić?
Therefore do you persecute me as also the Lord [does], and are not satisfied with my flesh?
23 Oby teraz napisane były słowa moje! oby je na księgach wyrysowano!
For oh that my words were written, and that they were recorded in a book forever,
24 Oby rylcem żelaznym i ołowiem na wieczną pamiątkę na kamieniu wydrążone były!
with an iron pen and lead, or graven in the rocks!
25 Aczci ja wiem, iż Odkupiciel mój żyje, a iż w ostateczny dzień nad prochem stanie.
For I know that he is eternal who is about to deliver me,
26 A choć ta skóra moja roztoczona będzie, przecież w ciele mojem oglądam Boga;
[and] to raise up upon the earth my skin that endures these [sufferings]: for these things have been accomplished to me of the Lord;
27 Którego ja sam oglądam, i oczy moje ujrzą go, a nie inny; choć zniszczały nerki moje we wnętrznościach moich.
which I am conscious of in myself, which mine eye has seen, and not another, but all have been fulfilled to me in [my] bosom.
28 Przeczże nie mówicie: Czemuż go prześladujemy? gdyż się przy mnie znajduje grunt dobrej sprawy.
But if you shall also say, What shall we say before him, and [so] find the root of the matter in him?
29 Ulęknijcie się sami miecza, bo pomsta nieprawości jest miecz; a wiedzcie, że będzie sąd.
Do you also beware of deceit: for wrath will come upon transgressors; and then shall they know where their substance is.
