Izajasza 52
1 Ocuć się, ocuć się, oblecz się w moc twoję, Syonie! oblecz się w szatę ochędóstwa twego, o Jeruzalemie, miasto święte! Albowiem nie natrze na cię nieobrzezany i nieczysty.
Awake, awake, Put on thy strength, O Zion, —Put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem—thou holy city, For there shall not again come into thee any more the uncircumcised and unclean.
2 Otrząśnij się z prochu, powstań, siądź, Jeruzalemie! dobądź się z oków szyi swojej, o pojmana córko Syońska!
Shake thyself from the dust arise—sit down O Jerusalem, —Loose thyself from the bonds of thy neck, O captive! daughter of Zion!
3 Tak zaista Pan mówi: Darmoście się zaprzedali, przetoż bez pieniędzy odkupieni będziecie.
For, thus, saith Yahweh, For nought, ye sold yourselves, —And not with silver, shall ye be redeemed,
4 Bo tak mówi panujący Pan: Do Egiptu wstąpił lud mój przedtem, aby tam pielgrzymował; ale Assyryjczyk bez przyczyny go trapi.
For, thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, To Egypt, went down my people at first to sojourn there, —But, Assyria, without cause, hath oppressed him.
5 A teraz cóż mam czynić? mówi Pan, ponieważ lud mój darmo jest pojmany, a ci, którzy panują nad nim, do wzdychania go przywodzą, mówi Pan; nadto ustawicznie każdego dnia imię moje bluźnione bywa.
Now, therefore, what do I here? Demandeth Yahweh. That my people have been taken away for nought? They who rule them, do howl, Declareth Yahweh, And, continually—all the day, is my Name brought into contempt.
6 Przetoż pozna lud mój imię moje, przetoż pozna, mówię, dnia onego, żem Ja jest ten, który mówię; otom Ja przytomny.
Therefore, shall my people acknowledge my Name: Therefore, in that day, shall they acknowledge that, I, am the same, even I who am speaking, —Here, I am,
7 O jako piękne są na górach nogi tego, co pocieszne rzeczy zwiastuje, i opowiada pokój; tego, co zwiastuje dobre, i opowiada zbawienie, a mówi do Syonu: Bóg twój króluje!
How beautiful, upon the mountains are the feet—Of him That bringeth good tidings, That publisheth peace, That bringeth good tidings of blessing, That publisheth salvation, —That saith unto Zion, Thy God, hath become king.
8 Wynoszą głos stróżowie twoi, głos wynoszą, a społem wykrzykać będą; bo okiem w oko ujrzą, że zasię Pan Syon przywiedzie.
The voice of thy watchmen! They have uplifted a voice Together, do they renew the shout of triumph, —For eye to eye, shall they see, When Yahweh returneth to Zion.
9 Wykrzykajcie a śpiewajcie społem, pustynie Jeruzalemskie! bo pocieszył Pan lud swój, odkupił Jeruzalem.
Break forth, shout in triumph together, ye waste places of Jerusalem, —For Yahweh Hath comforted his people, Hath redeemed Jerusalem:
10 Wysmuknął Pan ramię świętobliwości swojej przed oczyma wszystkich narodów, aby oglądały wszystkie kończyny ziemi zbawienie Boga naszego.
Yahweh hath bared his holy arm, in the eyes of all the nations, So shall all the ends of the earth see the salvation of our God.
11 Odstąpcie, odstąpcie wynijdźcie z Babilonu, nieczystego się nie dotykajcie, wynijdźcie z pośrodku jego; oczyście się wy, którzy nosicie naczynie Pańskie.
Away! away! come, forth from thence!—Nought unclean, may ye touch, —Come forth out of her midst, Purify yourselves, ye who are to carry the vessels of Yahweh;
12 Bo nie z trzaskiem wynijdziecie, ani uciekając pójdziecie; pójdzie zaiste Pan przed wami, a zgromadzi was Bóg Izraelski.
For, not in haste, shall ye come forth, Nor, by flight, shall ye journey, —For, your van-guard, is Yahweh, And, your rear-guard, the God of Israel.
13 Oto się szczęśliwie powiedzie słudze memu. Wywyższony i podniesiony i bardzo uwielbiony będzie.
Lo! my Servant, prospereth, —He riseth, and is lifted up, and becometh very high:
14 Jako wiele ich zdumieją się nad nim, że przemierzła jest nad innych ludzi osoba jego, a kształt jego nad synów ludzkich:
The more that Many, were amazed at thee, So marred, beyond any man’s, was his appearance, —And his form, beyond the sons of men,
15 Tak zasię pokropi wiele narodów, i królowie przed nim zatulą usta swe, przeto, że czego im nie powiadano, to oglądają, a to, o czem nie słyszeli, wyrozumieją.
The more doth he startle Many nations, Before him, have kings closed their mouth, —For, that which had not been related to them, have they seen, And that which they had not heard, haw they diligently considered.
