I Królewska 15

1 Roku tedy ośmnastego królowania Jeroboama, syna Nabatowego, królował Abijam nad Judą.

Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat reigned Abijam over Judah.

2 Trzy lata królował w Jeruzalemie; a imię matki jego było Maacha, córka Abisalomowa.

Three years reigned he in Jerusalem. and his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.

3 Ten chodził we wszystkich grzechach ojca swego, które czynił przed nim; a nie było serce jego doskonałe przy Panu, Bogu swoim, jako serce Dawida, ojca jego.

And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father.

4 Wszakże dla Dawida dał mu Pan, Bóg jego, pochodnią w Jeruzalemie, wzbudziwszy syna jego po nim, a utwierdziwszy Jeruzalem,

Nevertheless for David's sake did the LORD his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:

5 Przeto, że czynił Dawid, co było dobrego w oczach Pańskich, a nie uchylał się od wszystkiego, co mu rozkazał, po wszystkie dni żywota swego, oprócz sprawy z Uryjaszem Hetejczykiem.

Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

6 I była wojna między Roboamem, i między Jeroboamem po wszystkie dni żywota jego.

And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.

7 A insze sprawy Abijamowe, i wszystko, co czynił, azaż nie jest napisane w kronikach o królach Judzkich, jako i wojna między Abijamem i między Jeroboamem?

Now the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.

8 A gdy zasnął Abijam z ojcy swymi, pochowano go w mieście Dawidowem. I królował Aza, syn jego, miasto niego.

And Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his position.

9 A tak roku dwudziestego Jeroboama, króla Izraelskiego, królował Aza nad Judą.

And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned Asa over Judah.

10 Czterdzieści lat i jeden królował w Jeruzalemie, a imię matki jego było Maacha, córka Abisalomowa.

And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.

11 I czynił Aza, co dobrego było w oczach Pańskich, jako Dawid ojciec jego.

And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.

12 Albowiem wytracił Sodomczyki z ziemi, i wyrzucił wszystkie bałwany, których byli naczynili ojcowie jego.

And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.

13 Nadto i Maachę, matkę swoję, zrzucił z panowania, bo była sprawiła strasznego bałwana w gaju; przetoż porąbał Aza tego strasznego bałwana jej, i spalił u potoku Cedron.

And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.

14 A chociaż wyżyny nie były skażone, jednak serce Azy było doskonałe przy Panu po wszystkie dni jego.

But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa's heart was perfect with the LORD all his days.

15 I wniósł rzeczy poświęcone ojca swego, i rzeczy, które sam poświęcił, do domu Pańskiego, srebro, i złoto, i naczynia.

And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which himself had dedicated, into the house of the LORD, silver, and gold, and vessels.

16 I była wojna między Azą i między Baazą, królem Izraelskim, po wszystkie dni ich.

And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

17 Albowiem Baaza, król Izraelski, wyciągnął przeciw Judzie, a zbudował Ramę, aby nie dopuścił wychodzić i wchodzić nikomu do Azy, króla Judzkiego.

And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Benhadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,

So Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of the hosts which he had against the cities of Israel, and stroke Ijon, and Dan, and Abelbethmaachah, and all Cinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.

21 Co gdy usłyszał Baaza, przestał budować Ramy, i mieszkał w Tersie.

And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, that he left off building of Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah.

22 Tedy król Aza zebrał wszystek lud Judzki, nikogo nie wyjmując; a pobrali kamienie z Ramy i drzewo jego, z którego budował Baaza: a zbudował z niego król Aza Gabaa Benjaminowe, i Masfa.

Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none was exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha had built; and king Asa built with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

23 A inne wszystkie sprawy Azy, i wszystka moc jego, i cokolwiek czynił, i miasta, które zbudował, azaż to nie jest napisane w kronikach o królach Judzkich? Ale czasu starości swej chorował na nogi swoje.

The rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.

24 I zasnął Aza z ojcy swymi, a pochowany jest z nimi w mieście Dawida, ojca swego. A Jozafat, syn jego, królował miasto niego.

And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his position.

25 Ale Nadab, syn Jeroboama, nastąpił na królestwo Izraelskie roku wtórego Azy, króla Judzkiego, i królował nad Izraelem dwa lata;

And Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned over Israel two years.

26 I czynił złe przed oczyma Pańskiemi, chodząc drogami ojca swego, i w grzechach jego, któremi do grzechu przywodził Izraela.

And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.

27 I zbuntował się przeciw niemu Baaza, syn Ahyjasza, z domu Isaschar; a poraził go Baaza u Giebbeton, które było Filistyńskie; bo Nadab ze wszystkim Izraelem obległ był Giebbeton.

And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha stroke him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon.

28 I zabił go Baaza roku trzeciego Azy, króla Judzkiego, a sam królował miasto niego.

Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his position.

29 I stało się, gdy począł królować, że wymordował wszystek dom Jeroboamowy; a nie zostawił żadnej duszy z narodu Jeroboamowego, aż je wytracił według słowa Pańskiego, które był opowiedział przez sługę swego Achyjasza Sylonitczyka;

And it came to pass, when he reigned, that he stroke all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according unto the saying of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite:

Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation wherewith he provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger.

Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

32 I była wojna między Azą, i między Baazą, królem Izraelskim, po wszystkie dni ich.

And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

33 Roku trzeciego Azy, króla Judzkiego, królował Baaza, syn Achyjasza, nad wszystkim Izraelem w Tersie przez dwadzieścia i cztery lat.

In the third year of Asa king of Judah began Baasha the son of Ahijah to reign over all Israel in Tirzah, twenty and four years.

34 I czynił złe przed Panem, chodząc drogami Jeroboamowemi, i w grzechu jego, którym do grzechu przywiódł Izraelity.

And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
