I Królewska 10
1 A królowa z Saby usłyszawszy sławę o Salomonie i o imieniu Pańskiem przyjechała, aby go doświadczyła w zagadkach.
And the queen of Saba heard of the name of Solomon, and the name of the Lord, and she came to try him with riddles.
2 I wjechała do Jeruzalemu z wielkim bardzo pocztem, z wielbłądami niosącemi rzeczy wonne, i złota bardzo wiele, i kamienia drogiego, a przyszedłszy do Salomona mówiła do niego o wszystkiem, co miała w sercu swojem.
And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train; and [there came] camels bearing spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and she came in to Solomon, and told him all that was in her heart.
3 Ale jej odpowiedział Salomon na jej wszystkie słowa; nie było nic skrytego przed królem, na coby jej nie odpowiedział.
And Solomon answered all her questions: and there was not a question overlooked by the king which he did not answer her.
4 Przetoż widząc królowa z Saby wszystkę mądrość Salomonową, i dom, który był zbudował,
And the queen of Saba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house which he built,
5 Także potrawy stołu jego, i siadania sług jego, i stawania służących mu, i szaty ich, i podczasze jego, i wschody, po których wstępował do domu Pańskiego, zdumiała się bardzo;
and the provision of Solomon and the sitting of his attendants, and the standing of his servants, and his raiment, and his cup-bearers, and his whole-burnt-offering which he offered in the house of the Lord, and she was utterly amazed.
6 I rzekła do króla: Prawdziwać to mowa, którąm słyszała w ziemi mojej o sprawach twoich, i o mądrości twojej;
And she said to king Solomon, [It was] a true report which I heard in my land of thy words and thy wisdom.
7 Alem nie wierzyła powieściom onym, ażem sama przyjechawszy oglądała to oczyma swemi. Ale mi tego nie powiedziano i połowy. Większa jest mądrość i dobroć twoja niżeli sława, którąm słyszała.
But I believed not them that told me, until I came and my eyes saw: and, behold, the words as they reported to me are not the half: thou hast exceeded in goodness all the report which I heard in my land.
8 Błogosławieni mężowie twoi, błogosławieni słudzy twoi, którzy zawsze przed tobą stoją, i słuchają mądrości twojej.
Blessed [are] thy wives, blessed [are] these thy servants who stand before thee continually, who hear all thy wisdom.
9 Niechże będzie Pan, Bóg twój, błogosławiony, który cię sobie upodobał, aby cię posadził na stolicy Izraelskiej, przeto iż Pan umiłował Izraela na wieki, i postanowił cię królem, abyś czynił sąd i sprawiedliwość.
Blessed be the Lord thy God, who has taken pleasure in thee, to set thee upon the throne of Israel, because the Lord loved Israel to establish [him] for ever; and he has made thee king over them, to execute judgment with justice, and in their causes.
10 I dała królowi sto i dwadzieścia talentów złota, i rzeczy wonnych bardzo wiele, i kamienia drogiego. Nie przyszło nigdy potem tak wiele wonnych rzeczy, jako dała królowa z Saby królowi Salomonowi.
And she gave to Solomon a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and very many spices, and precious stones: there had not come any other spices so abundant as those which the queen of Saba gave to king Solomon.
11 Nadto okręty Hirama, które przynosiły złoto z Ofir, przyniosły z Ofir drzewa almugimowego bardzo wiele i kamienia drogiego.
And the ship of Chiram which brought the gold from Suphir, brought very much hewn timber and precious stones.
12 I poczynił król z drzewa almugimowego wschody do domu Pańskiego, i do domu królewskiego, i harfy, i lutnie śpiewakom; a nigdy nie przywożono takiego drzewa almugimowego, ani widziano aż do dnia tego.
And the king made the hewn timber [into] buttresses of the house of the Lord and the king's house, and lyres and harps for singers: such hewn timber had not come upon the earth, nor have been seen anywhere until this day.
13 Król także Salomon dał królowej z Saby wszystko, czego chciała i czego żądała, oprócz tego, co jej dał z dobrej woli ręką królewską. Potem odjechawszy, wróciła się do ziemi swojej, ona i słudzy jej.
And king Solomon gave to the queen of Saba all that she desired, whatsoever she asked, besides all that he had given her by the hand of king Solomon: and she returned, and came into her own land, she and her servants.
14 A była waga onego złota, które przychodziło Salomonowi na każdy rok, sześć set sześćdziesiąt i sześć talentów złota,
And the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold.
15 Oprócz tego, co przychodziło od kupców i z handlu tych, którzy rzeczami wonnemi kupczyli, i od wszystkich królów Arabskich, i książąt ziemi.
Besides the tributes of them that were subjects, both merchants and all the kings of the [country] beyond [the river], and of the princess of the land.
16 Przetoż uczynił król Salomon dwieście tarczy ze złota ciągnionego, sześć set syklów złota wychodziło na każdą tarczą;
And Solomon made three hundred spears of beaten gold: three hundred shekels of gold were upon one spear.
17 Przytem trzy sta puklerzy ze złota ciągnionego, trzy grzywny złota odważył na każdy puklerz. I schował je król w domu lasu Libanowego.
And three hundred shields of beaten gold: and three pounds of gold were in one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
18 Uczynił także król stolicę wielką z kości słoniowej, i powlókł ją szczerem złotem.
And the king made a great ivory throne, and gilded it with pure gold.
19 Sześć stopni było u onej stolicy, a wierzch okrągły był na stolicy z tyłu; i poręcze były z obudwu stron siedzenia, a dwa lwy stały u poręczy;
The throne [had] six steps, and calves in bold relief to the throne behind it, and side-pieces on either hand of the place of the seat, and two lions standing by the side-pieces,
20 A dwanaście lwów stało na onych sześciu stopniach z obu stron. Nie było nic takiego urobiono w żadnych królestwach.
and twelve lions standing there on the six steps on either side: it was not so done in any [other] kingdom.
21 Nadto wszystkie naczynia, z których pijał król Salomon, były złote, także i wszystkie naczynia domu lasu Libanowego były z szczerego złota; nic nie było ze srebra, ani go miano w jakiej cenie za dni Salomonowych.
And all the vessels made by Solomon [were] of gold, and the lavers [were] golden, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; there was no silver, for it was not accounted of in the days of Solomon.
22 Albowiem okręty królewskie były na morzu z okrętami Hiramowemi: raz we trzy lata wracały się okręty z morza, przynosząc złoto i srebro, kości słoniowe, i koczkodany, i pawie.
For Solomon had a ship of Tharsis in the sea with the ships of Chiram: one ship came to the king every three years out of Tharsis, [laden with] gold and silver, and wrought stones, and hewn stones.
23 A tak uwielmożniony jest król Salomon nad wszystkie króle ziemskie bogactwy i mądrością.
And Solomon increased beyond all the kings of the earth in wealth and wisdom.
24 Przetoż wszyscy obywatele ziemi pragnęli widzieć Salomona, aby słuchali mądrości jego, którą był dał Bóg w serce jego.
And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom which the Lord [had] put into his heart.
25 I przynosił mu każdy dary swe, naczynia srebrne i naczynia złote, i szaty, i zbroje, i rzeczy wonne, konie, i muły, a to na każdy rok.
And they brought every one their gifts, vessels of gold, and raiment, and stacte, and spices, and horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
26 Tak iż nazgromadzał Salomon wozów, i jezdnych, a miał tysiąc i czterysta wozów, i dwanaście tysięcy jezdnych, które rozsadził po miastach wozów, i przy sobie w Jeruzalemie.
And Solomon had four thousand mares for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen: and he put them in the cities of his chariots, and with the king in Jerusalem: and he ruled over all the kings from the river to the land of the Philistines, and to the borders of Egypt.
27 I złożył król srebra w Jeruzalemie tak wiele, jako kamienia, a ceder jako sykomorów, których na polu rośnie bardzo wiele.
And the king made gold and silver in Jerusalem as stones, and he made cedars as the sycamores in the plain for multitude.
28 Przywodzono też konie Salomonowi z Egiptu, i towary rozliczne; bo kupcy królewscy brali towary rozliczne za pewne pieniądze.
And the goings forth of Solomon's horsemen [was] also out of Egypt, and the king's merchants [were] of Thecue; and they received them out of Thecue at a price.
29 A wychodził i przychodził cug woźników z Egiptu za sześć set srebrników, a koń za sto i pięćdziesiąt. A tak wszyscy królowie Hetejscy, i królowie Syryjscy z rąk ich koni dostawali.
And that which proceeded out of Egypt went up [thus, even] a chariot for a hundred [shekels] of silver, and a horse for fifty [shekels] of silver: and thus for all the kings of the Chettians, and the kings of Syria, they came out by sea.
