< Men Rom 11 >

1 ARI, iet me i men inda: Kot kalikalar japwilim a kan? O jo! Pwe nai pil kijan men Ijrael, o kadaudok en Apraam, o kainok en Peniamin.
I say then, Has God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
2 Kot jota kalikalar japwilim a kan, me a kotin piladar maj o. De komail jota aja, da me kijin likau majanier duen Eliaj ni a kadipa men Ijrael mon Kot majani:
God has not cast away his people which he foreknew. Know all of you not what the scripture says of Elijah? how he makes intercession to God against Israel saying,
3 Main, irail kamelar japwilim ar jaukop akan, o karonk pajan japwilim ar pei jaraui kan, a nai ta me lua, a irail pil rapakin ia, pwen kame ia la.
Lord, they have killed your prophets, and dug down your altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
4 A da me Kot kotin japenki i? Nai me kanikidi on ia ol ijikid me jo kelepuki on Paal.
But what says the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
5 Nan iduen anjau wet: Luan me piladar akan mia pweki mak en Kot.
Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
6 A ma pweki mak, nan kaidin pweki wiawia kan; pwe ma iduen, mak jolar pan mak.
And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
7 Ari, iaduen mepukat? Me men Ijrael raparapaki, re jota diaradar, a me piladar akan diaradar, a me tei kan kapitakailar.
What then? Israel has not obtained that which he seeks for; but the election has obtained it, and the rest were blinded.
8 Duen a intinidier: Kot kotiki on irail nen en men mair, o por en maj akan, pwe ren der kilan waja, o jalon akan, pwe ren der ron waja lao lel ran wet.
(According as it is written, God has given them the spirit (pneuma) of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear; ) unto this day.
9 O Dawid majani: Arail tepel en wiala injar parail, o litip arail, o kapup parail, o karia parail.
And David says, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling block, and a recompence unto them:
10 Maj arail en rotorotala, pwe ren der kilan waja, o irail en kakoj pena kokolata.
Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back always.
11 Ari, iet me i men inda: Irail dipikelekel pwen pupedi? O jo! A pweki arail pupedi, en id kamaurela men liki kan, pwen kapopot kin irail do.
I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation has come unto the Gentiles, in order to provoke them to jealousy.
12 Ari, ma arail pupedi id pai on jappa, a arail momalar id pai on men liki kan, ia wan pai, ma irail karoj pan japaledo!
Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fullness?
13 Pwe men liki komail, me i men padaki on, pwe nai wanporon en men liki kan, i men kaindinda ai dodok.
For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
14 Pwe ma i kak on, i pan kainon irail, me kit eu ni pali uduk pwe akai re’rail en dorela.
If by any means I may provoke to awaken jealousy in them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
15 Pwe ma arail kalikilar id kalamalam maula jappa, arail kajapaledo jo pan kamaurela jan ren me melar akan?
For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
16 A ma kalap me jaraui, plaua amaj pil pan jaraui; o ma kalaua me jaraui, ra kan pil pan dueta;
For if the first-fruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
17 A ma ra kai tapenok jan, a koe ni om woj mal id peuj ion, ap ian nim pil en tuka o ian maurki kalaua,
And if some of the branches be broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them partake of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
18 Koe ap der juaiki on ra kan! A ma koe juaiki on irail, kaidin koe me kin wa kalaua, a kalaua kin wa uk.
Boast not against the branches. But if you boast, you bear not the root, but the root you.
19 Koe ap pan indada: Ra kan tapenok wei jan, pwe i en id peuj on.
You will say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.
20 Me pun; jopojon, me re tapenok kilar, a pojon, me koe maur kila, koe der aklapalap a majak!
Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Be not high-minded, but fear:
21 Pwe ma Kot kotin muei jan udan ra kan, kalaka, pwe ele a pil pan muei jan uk!
For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not you.
22 Ari, kilan kalanan o onion en Kot; onion on irail, me jalonalar, a kalanan on uk, ma koe pan dadaurata a kalanan, a ma jo, koe pil pan tapenok jan.
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness: otherwise you also shall be cut off.
23 A pil irail, ma irail jota pan mimieta ni arail jopojon, re ap pan peuj japal, pwe Kot kotin kak on kapure irail do.
And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.
24 Pwe ma koe lepuk jan ni tuka olip mal, ap peuj japal on tuka olip mau, a iaduen udan ra mau kan, re jota pan kak pur on udan ar tuka?
For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
25 Ri ai kan, i men, komail en lelapok ki kaponepon wet, pwe komail de aklolekon, duen apali en Ijrael me kapitakailar, lao lel anjaun irail me pilipildar ren men liki kan pwarador.
For I would not, brethren, that all of you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest all of you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 Men Ijrael karoj ap pan maureda, duen a intinidier: Amen pan kotido jan Jion, me pan kawela karoj me doo jan Kot akan ren Iakop.
And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 Pwe iet ai inau on irail, i lao lapwa jan irail dip arail akan.
For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
28 Iran ronamau irail me imwintiti pweki komail, a iran lipilipil irail me kompokepa kan pweki jam akan.
As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as concerning the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes.
29 Pwe Kot jota kin kalukila a pai en mak akan de me a kotin piladar.
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
30 O duen komail, me pil jota pojon Kot maj o, a met komail aleer mak, pweki arail jopojon.
For as all of you in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
31 Iduen irail me jota pojon mak, me komail diaradar, iei me re pil jota diaradar mak en Kot.
Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
32 Pwe Kot me kotin kapata pena irail karoj ni jopojon, pwen mak pena on karoj. (eleēsē g1653)
For God has concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. (eleēsē g1653)
33 O meid laud erpit en Kot o a kotin mani meakaroj, jota me kak weweki a kadeik kan, de pameda al en a wiawia kan!
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
34 Pwe ij me ajaer kupur en Kaun o, de ij me padaki on i meakot?
For who has known the mind of the Lord? or who has been his counsellor?
35 De ij me ki on i meakot, pwen depuk on i?
Or who has first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
36 Pwe meakaroj tapi jan re a, o mia pweki i, o wiai on i, linan en ko on i kokolata! Amen. (aiōn g165)
For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
