1 PAULUJ ari kotilan Derpe o Lijtra. A kilan tounpadak amen mi waja o, me ad a Timoteuj, nain li en Juj me pojon amen, a jam a men Krik.
Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:
2 Nan i kalok mau jili ren jaulan en Lijtra o Ikonien akan.
Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.
3 Pauluj kotin men, i en waroki on i. I ari uk i o jirkomjaij i, pweki Juj oko, me mi waja o, pwe irail ajaer, me jam a men Krik amen.
Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.
4 A ni arail kotikot jili nan kanim akan, re padaki on irail me ren kapwaiada kujoned oko, me wiauier ren wanporon o jaunkoa kan nan Ierujalem.
And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees in order to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.
5 Momodijou kan ari kelailada ni pojon o re totolar ni ran karoj.
And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.
6 A Nen jaraui kotin inapwiedi, me ren der padak duen majan nan Ajien, re ap kakan jili Prikien o Kalatien.
Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Spirit (pneuma) to preach the word (logos) in Asia,
7 Irail lao pwara don Mijien, re jon daulul wei on Pitinien, a Nen en Iejuj jota kotin mueid on.
After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit (pneuma) suffered them not.
8 Irail lao daulul lar Mijien, ap kodilan Troaj.
And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.
9 A kajanjal eu pwara don Pauluj ni pon: Ol en Majetonien amen me uda, poekipoeki i indada: Kom koti don Majetonien, jauaja kit!
And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
10 A lao udialer kajanjal o, kit madan kolan Majetonien, pwe je ajaer, me Kaun o kotin molipe kit, en kolan padaki on irail ronamau.
And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us in order to preach the gospel unto them.
11 Kit ari majel wei jan Troaj o inen won Jamotrajien, a manda lel on Neapolij,
Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis;
12 O jan waja o lel Pilipi, kanim lapalap ni apali en Majetonien, me kijan jap en men Rom. Kit ari mimieta nan kanim o ran akai.
And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days.
13 Ni ran en japat je koiei jan kanim o, kolan pon pilap pot, waja re kin kapakap ia. Kit ari mondi o kawewe on li akai, me kin pokopokon waja o.
And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was known to be made; and we sat down, and spoke unto the women which resorted thither.
14 A li amen ad a Lidia, men jaunet en likau waitata, men Tiatira amen, me kin kaudok on Kot. Nan i me roneron kit. A Kaun o kotin ritinada monion i, pwen apapwali meakan, me Pauluj majanier.
And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
15 I o a penainai lao paptaijelar, ap poeki re at indada: Ma komail kajau ia da, me i pojonlar Kaun o, komail pan pedelon on nan im ai o kotikot ia; i ari nidinide kin kit.
And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If all of you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.
16 Kadekadeo ni at kolan kapakap lidu amen, me kin wun ani, ap tu on kit, me kin kare on moni toto ren a jaumaj kan ki a wun ani.
And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit (pneuma) of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
17 I me idauen Pauluj o kit weriwer indada: Aramaj pukat me japwilim en Kot lapalap ladu ko, me kin padaki on komail duen al en maur.
The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which show unto us the way of salvation.
18 A mepukat a wiadar ran toto. A Pauluj kupurola kaualap ap kotin jaupeila majani on nen o: Ni mar en Iejuj Krijtuj me i indai on uk, keredi jan i! I ap keredi jan ni auer ota.
And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, (pneuma) I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
19 A jaumaj akan lao diarada, me jolar kaporopor en ar men wiaki moni, ap jaikidi Pauluj o Jilaj, wai ira Ion don wajan net ron jaumaj akan.
And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,
20 O kalua ira wei ren jaun kapun kan katitiki: Aramaj pukat kijan men Juj kin kaokaoe atail kanim,
And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,
21 O padapadaki tiak me jota pun je en ale de wiada, pwe Kit nil men Rom.
And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.
22 Aramaj karoj ap uda por on ira, o jaunkapun ko dere jan ara likau kan o kapi, ren woki ira.
And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.
23 Irail wokiwoki ira pan pak toto, rap kaje ira di nan imaten o kapiedi jilepa o, en kateneten ira di.
And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
24 A lao aleer kujoned wet ap kaje ira di on nan waron, en imaten o jaliedi aluwilu’ra nin tuka kai.
Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
25 A lao ni ailep en pon Pauluj o Jilaj kapakap o melkaka mi Kot, o me jalidi ko roneron Ira,
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 A jap o madan rerereda, kajukajuk en imaten mokidedar, wanim ko ap madan ritida o ar jal akan karoj lapwadar.
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
27 A jilepan imaten lao pirida jan a mair o kilan wanim ko ar ritidar, ap napekida a kodlaj o, a pan kamela pein i, pwe a kiki on, me jalidi ko me pitila.
And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28 A Pauluj kapitie laudeda majani: Kom der kame uk ala, pwe kit karoj mia.
But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do yourself no harm: for we are all here.
29 A ap idok lamp eu o tan rerer o dairukedi jan Pauluj n Jilaj.
Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30 O wa ira wei jan indada: Main ko, da me i en wiada, pwen kamaurla?
And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 Ira ap majani: Pojon Kaun Iejuj, a koe o toun im om pan maurola.
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, and your house.
32 Ira ari kawewe on i o toun im a karoj majan en Kaun o.
And they spoke unto him the word (logos) of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33 I ari uk ira ni auer ota 11 i pon o, widen ara pwal oko. I o na kan karoj ap madan paptaij elar.
And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, immediately.
34 I ap kalua won ira nan im a, ap kida mo’ra kijin mana, o peren kidar a pojonla Kot, i o ian a kan.
And when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.
35 A lao ran pajan, jaupeidi ko poronela papa ko indada: Lapwada aramaj pukat!
And when it was day, the magistrates sent the sergeants, saying, Let those men go.
36 Jilepan imaten o ap kaireki Pauluj majan pukat indada: Jaupeidi ko me ilakido, koma en lapwada. Koma ari kotila popol.
And the keeper of the prison told this saying (logos) to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.
37 A Pauluj kotin majani on irail: Irail janjal kadeike kit adar o woki kit men Rom, ap kaje kit ale nan imaten, a met re men kadar kit ala jo janjal. A jo, irail en pein kodo, wa kit wei.
But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privately? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.
38 A papa ko kaireki jaupeidi kan majan pukat. Irail ap majakadar ni ar ronadar, me ira men Rom.
And the sergeants told these words (rhema) unto the magistrates: and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans.
39 Irail ari kodo, poeki re’ra o wa ira la jan, o nidinideki ira, en japal wei jan nan kanim o.
And they came and besought them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the city.
40 Ira ari pedoido jan nan imaten o, ap kotila ren Lidia. Ira lao tu on jaulan kan, ap panaui irail o jipale wei.
And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.
