< Markus 1 >

Beginning of the glad tidings of Jesus Christ, Son of God;
2 Duen a intingidi ren saukop Iesaia: Kilang, i kadarala mo’mui ai men kadar me pan kaonopada al omui!
as it is written in [Isaiah] the prophet, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way.
3 Ngil eu likelikwir sili nan sap tan: Komail kaonopada al en Kaun o kaineneda al a!
Voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of [the] Lord, make his paths straight.
4 Ioanes kotido wia paptais nin sap tan o padapadak duen paptais en kalula ong lapwa dip akan.
There came John baptising in the wilderness, and preaching [the] baptism of repentance for remission of sins.
5 Toun sap en Sus akan o toun Ierusalem karos pokon dong re a; irail paptaisela re a nan pilap Iordan, weokada dip arail akan.
And there went out to him all the district of Judaea, and all they of Jerusalem, and were baptised by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
6 Ioanes kin likauwi wun en kamel, o perapirki kil en man, o kin kangkang mansiek o oni en nan wel.
And John was clothed in camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins, and ate locusts and wild honey.
7 O padapadak masani: Meamen laud sang ia kotido mur i. Sal en a sut i sota war ong idiokidi lapwada.
And he preached, saying, There comes he that is mightier than I after me, the thong of whose sandals I am not fit to stoop down and unloose.
8 I paptais kilar komail pil. A a pan paptais kin komail Ngen saraui!
I indeed have baptised you with water, but he shall baptise you with [the] Holy Spirit.
9 Kadekadeo ni ran oko Iesus ap kotido sang Nasaret en Kaliläa ap paptaisela ren Ioanes nan Iordan.
And it came to pass in those days [that] Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptised by John at the Jordan.
10 A madang kotida sang nan pil o, ap kotin masani nanlang kan ar ritida, o Ngen mom en muroi piridi dong po a.
And straightway going up from the water, he saw the heavens parting asunder, and the Spirit, as a dove, descending upon him.
11 Ngil eu ap peidido sang nanlang kan: Nai kompok komui, me I perenki!
And there came a voice out of the heavens: Thou art my beloved Son, in thee I have found my delight.
12 A madang Ngen kalua wong i sap tan.
And immediately the Spirit drives him out into the wilderness.
13 A ap kotikoteki sap tan ran pangaul wia songesong pan Satan, ieiang man laualo; a tounlang kan me papa ong i.
And he was in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.
14 Murin en Ioanes a pangalar, Iesus ap koti dong Kaliläa, padapadak rongamau en wein Kot.
But after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee preaching the glad tidings of the kingdom of God,
15 Masani: Ansau o leler wein Kot mier! Komail kalula! Kamelele rongamau!
and saying, The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God has drawn nigh; repent and believe in the glad tidings.
16 Ni a kotikot sili liman sed en Kaliläa, a ap masani Simon o ri a ol Andreas ara lalaid sili, pwe ira saused.
And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon, and Andrew, [Simon's] brother, casting out a net in the sea, for they were fishers.
17 Iesus ap kotin masani ong ira: Koma idauen ia do! Pwe I pan wia kin koma la saused en aramas!
And Jesus said to them, Come after me, and I will make you become fishers of men;
18 Ira ari madang kasedi ara uk eko, ap idauenla i.
and straightway leaving their trawl-nets they followed him.
19 Ari, ni a kotila sang wasa o, a ap kotin masani Iakopus, nain Sepedäus o ri a ol Ioanes mimi pon sop pot wonewone ara uk oko.
And going on thence a little, he saw James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, and these [were] in the ship repairing the trawl-nets;
20 I ari kotin molipe ira madang, ira ari pededi sam ara Sepedäus nin sop o ren toun dodok ko o idauen la i.
and straightway he called them; and leaving their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, they went away after him.
21 Irail ap koti dong Kapernaum. A madang kotilong ong nan sinakoke ni ran en sapat o kawewe.
And they go into Capernaum. And straightway on the sabbath he entered into the synagogue and taught.
22 Re ap puriamuiki a padak, pwe a kotin kawewe ong irail ni manaman sota dueta saunkawewe kan.
And they were astonished at his doctrine, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
23 Aramas amen iang mi nan sinakoke o, me ngen saut mi lole, ap weriwer,
And there was in their synagogue a man [possessed] by an unclean spirit, and he cried out
24 Indada: Ko sang kit! Menda re omui kit, Iesus en Nasaret? Komui kotido en kawe kit ala? I asa komui, Saraui en Kot.
saying, Eh! what have we to do with thee, Jesus, Nazarene? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the holy one of God.
25 Iesus ari ongiongida, masani: Nenenla o kowei sang i!
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace and come out of him.
26 Ngen saut lao kapururada ap weriwer laudeda, a ap koiei sang i.
And the unclean spirit, having torn him, and uttered a cry with a loud voice, came out of him.
27 Irail karos puriamui, pepeidok nan pung arail indada: Dakot met? Padak kap, dakot met? Pwe ni manaman a masani ong ngen saut akan, irail ari peiki ong i.
And all were amazed, so that they questioned together among themselves, saying, What is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.
28 I ari madang indand sili nin sap karos impan Kaliläa.
And his fame went out straightway into the whole region of Galilee around.
29 Irail ari madang koti sang nan sinakoke, ap iang Iakopus o Ioanes kotilong ong nan im en Simon o Andreas,
And straightway going out of the synagogue, they came with James and John into the house of Simon and Andrew.
30 Saulap en Simon wononeki somau karakar. Irail ap kaireki i madang duen i.
And the mother-in-law of Simon lay in a fever. And straightway they speak to him about her.
31 I ari koti wong ale pa a, kauada. Somau karakar ap madang ko sang; i ari papa irail.
And he went up to [her] and raised her up, having taken her by the hand, and straightway the fever left her, and she served them.
32 A lao sautik penaer, ni katipin kirila, re ap wa pena ong i karos me somau o me tewil ti po arail.
But evening being come, when the sun had gone down, they brought to him all that were suffering, and those possessed by demons;
33 O toun kanim o pokon dong ni im o.
and the whole city was gathered together at the door.
34 A ap kotin kakelailada me toto me somauki song en somau toto, kausa sang tewil toto, ap kulikedi tewil akan, ren der lokaia, pwe re asa i.
And he healed many suffering from various diseases; and he cast out many demons, and did not suffer the demons to speak because they knew him.
35 A kotin kipada nin soran, kotilang sap tan, pwen laolao wasa o.
And rising in the morning long before day, he went out and went away into a desert place, and there prayed.
36 Simon o me iang ko ap idauenla i.
And Simon and those with him went after him:
37 Ni arail diar i, re ap potoan ong i: Irail karos raparapa kin komui.
and having found him, they say to him, All seek thee.
38 A ap kotin masani ong irail: Kitail daulul wong sap tei ko, pwe I en pil padak wasa o, pwe i me I kokido.
And he says to them, Let us go elsewhere into the neighbouring country towns, that I may preach there also, for for this purpose am I come forth.
39 A ap kotin padapadak sili nan arail sinakoke kan nan sap en Kaliläa karos o kakaus tewil akan.
And he was preaching in their synagogues in the whole of Galilee, and casting out demons.
40 Ol tuketuk amen ap poto dong i kelepuki poeki potoan ong i: Ma re kotin kupura, re kotin kamakeke ia da!
And there comes to him a leper, beseeching him, and falling on his knees to him, and saying to him, If thou wilt thou canst cleanse me.
41 Iesus ari kupuro kila, kapawei lim a, sair i masani ong i: I pan, makelekelada!
But Jesus, moved with compassion, having stretched out his hand, touched him, and says to him, I will, be thou cleansed.
42 A ni a masani eta, ari a tuketuk ko sang madang, a ap makelekel lar.
And as he spoke straightway the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
43 I ari kalikedi i, ap madang kadarala.
And having sharply charged him, he straightway sent him away,
44 Masani ong i: Kalaka! Koe depa indai ong meamen; a kowei kasale ong koe samero o, o kida, pweki om makelekelada, me Moses masani, pwen kadede ong irail.
and says to him, See thou say nothing to any one, but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing what Moses ordained, for a testimony to them.
45 Ari, a kolata kalokisili, suaiki sili o ari, kareda en Iesus a sola sansal koti dong kanim o, kotikot eta liki nan sap tan, irail ap pokon dong re a sang pali karos.
But he, having gone forth, began to proclaim [it] much, and to spread the matter abroad, so that he could no longer enter openly into the city, but was without in desert places, and they came to him from every side.
