زکریا 3

۱ 1 و یهوشع رئیس کهنه را به من نشان داد که به حضور فرشته خداوند ایستاده بود و شیطان به‌دست راست وی ایستاده، تا با اومخاصمه نماید.

Then [Yahweh] showed me Joshua, the Supreme Priest, [who was] standing in front of the angel that Yahweh had sent. And Satan was standing at Joshua’s right side, [ready] to accuse him.

۲ 2 و خداوند به شیطان گفت: «ای شیطان خداوند تو را نهیب نماید! خداوند که اورشلیم را برگزیده است تو را نهیب نماید. آیااین نیم سوزی نیست که از میان آتش ربوده شده است؟»

But Yahweh said to Satan, “Satan, I am rebuking you! I [am the one] who has chosen Jerusalem [to be my special city, and I] am rebuking you! This [man, Joshua], [has been brought back from Babylonia]; he is surely [like] [MET, RHQ] a burning stick that has been snatched from a fire.”

۳ 3 و یهوشع به لباس پلید ملبس بود و به حضور فرشته ایستاده بود.

Joshua was wearing filthy clothes while he was standing in front of the angel.

۴ 4 و آنانی را که به حضور وی ایستاده بودند خطاب کرده، گفت: «لباس پلید را از برش بیرون کنید.» و او را گفت: «ببین عصیانت را از تو بیرون کردم و لباس فاخر به تو پوشانیدم.»

The angel said to those [other angels] who were standing in front of him, “Take off his filthy clothes!” [After they did that, ] the angel said to Joshua, “Look! I have taken away [the guilt of] your sins, and I will put beautiful clothes on you.”

۵ 5 و من گفتم که عمامه طاهر برسرش بگذارند. پس عمامه طاهر بر سرش گذاردند و او را به لباس پوشانیدند و فرشته خداوند ایستاده بود.

Then I said to them, “Put a clean turban on his head!” So they put a clean turban on his head and put [new] on him, while the angel sent by Yahweh was standing there.

۶ 6 و فرشته خداوند یهوشع را اعلام نموده، گفت:

Then the angel said [this] to Joshua:

۷ 7 «یهوه صبایوت چنین می‌فرماید: اگر به طریق های من سلوک نمایی و ودیعت مرا نگاه داری تو نیز خانه مرا داوری خواهی نمود وصحن های مرا محافظت خواهی کرد و تو را درمیان آنانی که نزد من می‌ایستند بار خواهم داد.

“The Commander of the armies of angels says that if you do what I want you to do [IDM], and obey my instructions, you will (be in charge of/have authority over) [what is done in] my temple and its courtyard. And I will allow you to speak at any time to the angels who are standing near to me.

۸ 8 پس‌ای یهوشع رئیس کهنه بشنو تو و رفقایت که به حضور تو می‌نشینند، زیرا که ایشان مردان علامت هستند. (بشنوید) زیرا که اینک من بنده خود شاخه را خواهم آورد.

Joshua, [you are] the Supreme Priest, and your (associates/fellow priests) are sitting in front of you. They symbolize/represent things that will happen in the future. [Some day] I am going to bring someone who will work for me, someone who will be called the Branch.

۹ 9 و همانا آن سنگی که به حضور یهوشع می‌گذارم، بر یک سنگ هفت چشم می‌باشد. اینک یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید که من نقش آن را رقم خواهم کرد و عصیان این زمین را در یک روز رفع خواهم نمود.

Look at the stone that I have put in front of Joshua. There are seven sides on the stone. I will engrave a message on that stone, and in one day I will remove the guilt of [all the people of] this country.

۱۰ 10 و یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید که هر کدام از شما همسایه خود را زیر مو و زیر انجیر خویش دعوت خواهید نمود.»

At that time, each of you will invite his friends [to come and sit] under his grapevine and under his fig tree. [That is what] the Commander of the armies of angels declares.”
