تیطس 3

۱ 1 بیاد ایشان آور که حکام و سلاطین رااطاعت کنند و فرمانبرداری نمایند و برای هرکار نیکو مستعد باشند،

Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

۲ 2 و هیچ‌کس را بدنگویند و جنگجو نباشند بلکه ملایم و کمال حلم را با جمیع مردم به‌جا آورند.

To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, [but] gentle, showing all meekness to all men.

۳ 3 زیرا که ما نیز سابق بی‌فهم و نافرمانبردار وگمراه و بنده انواع شهوات و لذات بوده، در خبث و حسد بسر می‌بردیم که لایق نفرت بودیم و بریکدیگر بغض می‌داشتیم.

For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another.

۴ 4 لیکن چون مهربانی ولطف نجات‌دهنده ما خدا ظاهر شد،

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior towards man appeared,

۵ 5 نه به‌سبب اعمالی که ما به عدالت کرده بودیم، بلکه محض رحمت خود ما را نجات داد به غسل تولد تازه وتازگی‌ای که از روح‌القدس است؛

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit;

۶ 6 که او را به ما به دولتمندی افاضه نمود، به توسط نجات‌دهنده ماعیسی مسیح،

Which he shed on us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Savior;

۷ 7 تا به فیض او عادل شمرده شده، وارث گردیم بحسب امید حیات جاودانی. (aiōnios g166)

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (aiōnios g166)

۸ 8 این سخن امین است و در این امور می‌خواهم تو قدغن بلیغ فرمایی تا آنانی که به خدا ایمان آورند، بکوشند که در اعمال نیکو مواظبت نمایند، زیرا که این امور برای انسان نیکو و مفیداست.

[This is] a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they who have believed in God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

۹ 9 و از مباحثات نامعقول و نسب نامه‌ها و نزاعهاو جنگهای شرعی اعراض نما زیرا که بی‌ثمر وباطل است.

But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

۱۰ 10 و از کسی‌که از اهل بدعت باشد، بعد از یک دو نصیحت اجتناب نما،

A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, reject;

۱۱ 11 چون می‌دانی که چنین کس مرتد و از خود ملزم شده درگناه رفتار می‌کند.

Knowing that he who is such, is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned by himself.

۱۲ 12 وقتی که ارتیماس یا تیخیکس را نزد توفرستم، سعی کن که در نیکوپولیس نزد من آیی زیرا که عزیمت دارم زمستان را در آنجا بسر برم.

When I shall send Artemas to thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come to me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.

۱۳ 13 زیناس خطیب و اپلس را در سفر ایشان به سعی امداد کن تا محتاج هیچ‌چیز نباشند.

Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing may be wanting to them.

۱۴ 14 و کسان ما نیز تعلیم بگیرند که در کارهای نیکومشغول باشند برای رفع احتیاجات ضروری، تابی ثمر نباشند.

And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they may not be unfruitful.

۱۵ 15 جمیع رفقای من تو را سلام می‌رسانند و آنانی را که از روی ایمان ما رادوست می‌دارند سلام رسان. فیض با همگی شماباد. آمین.

All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace [be] with you all. Amen.
