تیطس 2

۱ 1 اما تو سخنان شایسته تعلیم صحیح را بگو:

But say the things which fit sound doctrine,

۲ 2 که مردان پیر، هشیار و باوقار وخرداندیش و در ایمان و محبت و صبر، صحیح باشند.

that older men should be temperate, sensible, sober minded, sound in faith, in love, and in perseverance,

۳ 3 همچنین زنان پیر، در سیرت متقی باشند و نه غیبت‌گو و نه بنده شراب زیاده بلکه معلمات تعلیم نیکو،

and that older women likewise be reverent in behaviour, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good,

۴ 4 تا زنان جوان را خرد بیاموزند که شوهردوست و فرزنددوست باشند،

that they may train the young wives to love their husbands, to love their children,

۵ 5 وخرداندیش و عفیفه و خانه نشین و نیکو و مطیع شوهران خود که مبادا کلام خدا متهم شود.

to be sober minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that God’s word may not be blasphemed.

۶ 6 و به همین نسق جوانان را نصیحت فرما تا خرداندیش باشند.

Likewise, exhort the younger men to be sober minded.

۷ 7 و خود را در همه‌چیز نمونه اعمال نیکو بسازو در تعلیم خود صفا و وقار و اخلاص را بکار بر،

In all things show yourself an example of good works. In your teaching, show integrity, seriousness, incorruptibility,

۸ 8 و کلام صحیح بی‌عیب را تا دشمن چونکه فرصت بد‌گفتن در حق ما نیابد، خجل شود.

and soundness of speech that can’t be condemned, that he who opposes you may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say about us.

۹ 9 غلامان را نصیحت نما که آقایان خود رااطاعت کنند و در هر امر ایشان را راضی سازند ونقیض گو نباشند؛

Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters and to be well-pleasing in all things, not contradicting,

۱۰ 10 و دزدی نکنند بلکه کمال دیانت را ظاهر سازند تا تعلیم نجات‌دهنده ما خدارا در هر چیز زینت دهند.

not stealing, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God, our Saviour, in all things.

۱۱ 11 زیرا که فیض خدا که برای همه مردم نجات‌بخش است، ظاهر شده،

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,

۱۲ 12 ما را تادیب می‌کند که بی‌دینی و شهوات دنیوی را ترک کرده، با خرداندیشی و عدالت و دینداری در این جهان زیست کنیم. (aiōn g165)

instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age; (aiōn g165)

۱۳ 13 و آن امید مبارک و تجلی جلال خدای عظیم و نجات‌دهنده خود ما عیسی مسیح را انتظار کشیم،

looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour, Yeshua the Messiah,

۱۴ 14 که خود را در راه ما فدا ساخت تا ما را از هر ناراستی برهاند و امتی برای خودطاهر سازد که ملک خاص او و غیور در اعمال نیکو باشند.

who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.

۱۵ 15 این را بگو و نصیحت فرما و درکمال اقتدار توبیخ نما و هیچ‌کس تو را حقیرنشمارد.

Say these things and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one despise you.
