مزامیر 97

۱ 1 خداوند سلطنت گرفته است، پس زمین شادی کند و جزیره های بسیار مسرورگردند.

For David, when his land is established. The Lord reigns, let the earth exult, let many islands rejoice.

۲ 2 ابرها و ظلمت غلیظ گرداگرد اوست. عدل و انصاف قاعده تخت اوست.

Cloud, and darkness are round about him; righteousness and judgment are the establishment of his throne.

۳ 3 آتش پیش روی وی می‌رود و دشمنان او را به اطرافش می‌سوزاند.

Fire shall go before him, and burn up his enemies round about.

۴ 4 برقهایش ربع مسکون را روشن می‌سازد. زمین این را بدید و بلرزید.

His lightnings appeared to the world; the earth saw, and trembled.

۵ 5 کوهها ازحضور خداوند مثل موم گداخته می‌شود، ازحضور خداوند تمامی جهان.

The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

۶ 6 آسمانها عدالت او را اعلام می‌کنند و جمیع قوم‌ها جلال او رامی بینند.

The heavens have declared his righteousness, and all the people have seen his glory.

۷ 7 همه پرستندگان بتهای تراشیده خجل می‌شوند که به بتها فخر می‌نمایند. ای جمیع خدایان او را بپرستید.

Let all that worship graven images be ashamed, who boast of their idols; worship him, all ye his angels.

۸ 8 صهیون شنید و شادمان شد و دختران یهودامسرور گردیدند، ای خداوند به‌سبب داوریهای تو.

Sion heard and rejoiced; and the daughters of Judea exulted, because of thy judgments, O Lord.

۹ 9 زیرا که تو‌ای خداوند بر تمامی روی زمین متعال هستی. بر جمیع خدایان، بسیار اعلی هستی.

For thou art Lord most high over all the earth; thou art greatly exalted above all gods.

۱۰ 10 ‌ای شما که خداوند را دوست می‌دارید، ازبدی نفرت کنید! او حافظ جانهای مقدسان خوداست. ایشان را از دست شریران می‌رهاند.

Ye that love the Lord, hate evil; the Lord preserves the souls of his saints; he shall deliver them from the hand of sinners.

۱۱ 11 نوربرای عادلان کاشته شده است و شادمانی برای راست دلان.

Light is sprung up for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

۱۲ 12 ‌ای عادلان، در خداوند شادمان باشید! و ذکر قدوسیت او را حمد بگویید.

Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks for a remembrance of his holiness.
