مزامیر 83

۱ 1 سرود و مزمور آساف ای خدا تو را خاموشی نباشد! ای خداساکت مباش و میارام!

A Song, a Psalm of Asaph. O God, keep not Thou silence; hold not Thy peace, and be not still, O God.

۲ 2 زیرا اینک دشمنانت شورش می‌کنند و آنانی که از تو نفرت دارند، سر خود را برافراشته‌اند.

For, lo, Thine enemies are in an uproar; and they that hate Thee have lifted up the head.

۳ 3 بر قوم تو مکایدمی اندیشند وبر پناه آوردگان تو مشورت می‌کنند.

They hold crafty converse against Thy people, and take counsel against Thy treasured ones.

۴ 4 و می‌گویند: «بیایید ایشان را هلاک کنیم تا قومی نباشند و نام اسرائیل دیگر مذکور نشود.»

They have said: 'Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.'

۵ 5 زیرا به یک دل با هم مشورت می‌کنند و برضد تو عهد بسته‌اند.

For they have consulted together with one consent; against Thee do they make a covenant;

۶ 6 خیمه های ادوم واسماعیلیان و موآب و هاجریان.

The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagrites;

۷ 7 جبال و عمون و عمالیق و فلسطین با ساکنان صور.

Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;

۸ 8 آشور نیز باایشان متفق شدند و بازویی برای بنی لوطگردیدند، سلاه.

Assyria also is joined with them; they have been an arm to the children of Lot. (Selah)

۹ 9 بدیشان عمل نما چنانکه به مدیان کردی. چنانکه به سیسرا و یابین در وادی قیشون.

Do Thou unto them as unto Midian; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook Kishon;

۱۰ 10 که در عیندور هلاک شدند و سرگین برای زمین گردیدند.

Who were destroyed at En-dor; they became as dung for the earth.

۱۱ 11 سروران ایشان را مثل غراب و ذئب گردان و جمیع امرای ایشان را مثل ذبح وصلمناع.

Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and like Zebah and Zalmunna all their princes;

۱۲ 12 که می‌گفتند: «مساکن خدا را برای خویشتن تصرف نماییم.»

Who said: 'Let us take to ourselves in possession the habitations of God.'

۱۳ 13 ‌ای خدای من، ایشان را چون غبار گردبادبساز و مانند کاه پیش روی باد.

O my God, make them like the whirling dust; as stubble before the wind.

۱۴ 14 مثل آتشی که جنگل را می‌سوزاند و مثل شعله‌ای که کوهها را مشتعل می‌سازد.

As the fire that burneth the forest, and as the flame that setteth the mountains ablaze;

۱۵ 15 همچنان ایشان را به تند بادخود بران و به طوفان خویش ایشان را آشفته گردان.

So pursue them with Thy tempest, and affright them with Thy storm.

۱۶ 16 رویهای ایشان را به ذلت پر کن تا نام تورا‌ای خداوند بطلبند.

Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek Thy name, O LORD.

۱۷ 17 خجل و پریشان بشوندتا ابدالاباد و شرمنده و هلاک گردند.

Let them be ashamed and affrighted for ever; yea, let them be abashed and perish;

۱۸ 18 و بدانندتو که اسمت یهوه می‌باشد، به تنها بر تمامی زمین متعال هستی.

That they may know that it is Thou alone whose name is the LORD, the Most High over all the earth.
