۱ 1 برای سالار مغنیان. مزمور داود به جهت یادگاری خدایا، برای نجات من بشتاب! ای خداوند به اعانت من تعجیل فرما!

“To the chief musician, by David, to bring to remembrance.” O God, [arise] to deliver me; O Lord, make haste to help me.

۲ 2 آنانی که قصد جان من دارند، خجل و شرمنده شوند، و آنانی که در بدی من رغبت دارند، روبرگردانیده و رسوا گردند،

Let those that seek after my life be made ashamed and put to the blush: let those that desire my unhappiness be turned backward and put to confusion.

۳ 3 و آنانی که هه هه می‌گویند، به‌سبب خجالت خویش رو برگردانیده شوند.

Let them be turned backward in consequence of their shame, that say, Aha, aha.

۴ 4 و اما جمیع طالبان تو، در تو وجد و شادی کنند، و دوست دارندگان نجات تو دائم گویند: «خدا متعال باد!»

Let all those that seek thee be glad and rejoice in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, God is great.

۵ 5 و اما من مسکین و فقیر هستم. خدایا برای من تعجیل کن. تو مددکار ونجات‌دهنده من هستی. ای خداوند تاخیر منما.

But I am poor and needy, O God: come hastily unto me; my help and my deliverer art thou: O Lord, do not delay.
