۱ 1 برای سالار مغنیان برذوات اوتار. مزمور داود ای خدا فریاد مرا بشنو! و دعای مرااجابت فرما!

To the Chief Musician. Upon a Stringed Instrument. David’s. Hear, O God, my loud cry, Attend unto my prayer:

۲ 2 از اقصای جهان تو راخواهم خواند، هنگامی که دلم بیهوش می‌شود، مرا به صخره‌ای که از من بلندتر است هدایت نما.

From the end of the earth, unto thee do I cry, When my heart fainteth away, Unto a rock that is higher than I, wilt thou lead me.

۳ 3 زیرا که تو ملجای من بوده‌ای و برج قوی ازروی دشمن.

For thou hast been, A Refuge to me, A Tower of Strength, from the face of the foe.

۴ 4 در خیمه تو ساکن خواهم بود تاابدالاباد. زیر سایه بالهای تو پناه خواهم برد، سلاه.

I would be a guest in thy tent to the ages, I would seek refuge in the concealment of thy wings. (Selah)

۵ 5 زیرا تو‌ای خدا نذرهای مرا شنیده‌ای ومیراث ترسندگان نام خود را به من عطا کرده‌ای.

For, thou, O God, hast hearkened to my vows, Thou hast granted a possession, unto them who revere thy Name.

۶ 6 بر عمر پادشاه روزها خواهی افزود و سالهای اوتا نسل‌ها باقی خواهد ماند.

Days—unto the days of the king, wilt thou add. His years, as of generation after generation:

۷ 7 به حضور خداخواهد نشست تا ابدالاباد. رحمت و راستی را مهیا کن تا او را محافظت کنند.

Let him retain his seat age-abidingly before God, Appoint that, lovingkindness and faithfulness, my watch over him!

۸ 8 پس نام تو را تا به ابد خواهم سرایید تا هر روز نذرهای خود را وفاکنم.

So, will I sing thy Name unto futurity, Paying my vows, day by day.
