مزامیر 56

۱ 1 برای سالار مغنیان بر فاخته ساکت در بلاد بعیده. مکتوم داود وقتی که فلسطینیان او را در جت گرفتند ای خدا بر من رحم فرما، زیرا که انسان مرا به شدت تعاقب می‌کند. تمامی روزجنگ کرده، مرا اذیت می‌نماید.

God, be merciful to me because men have harassed me; all day my enemies pursue me.

۲ 2 خصمانم تمامی روز مرا به شدت تعاقب می‌کنند. زیرا که بسیاری با تکبر با من می‌جنگند.

My enemies harass me all day long; there are many of them who proudly attack me.

۳ 3 هنگامی که ترسان شوم، من بر تو توکل خواهم داشت.

But whenever I am afraid, I trust in you.

۴ 4 در خدا کلام او را خواهم ستود. بر خداتوکل کرده، نخواهم ترسید. انسان به من چه می‌تواند کرد؟

God, I praise/thank you because you do what you have promised; I trust in you, and then I am not afraid. Ordinary humans certainly cannot [RHQ] harm me!

۵ 5 هر روزه سخنان مرا منحرف می‌سازند. همه فکرهای ایشان درباره من برشرارت است.

All day long my enemies claim that I said things that I did not say (OR, try to destroy what I am doing); they are always thinking of ways to harm me.

۶ 6 ایشان جمع شده، کمین می‌سازند. بر قدمهای من چشم دارند زیرا قصدجان من دارند.

In order to cause trouble for me, they hide and watch everything that I do, waiting for [an opportunity] to kill me [MTY].

۷ 7 آیا ایشان به‌سبب شرارت خودنجات خواهند یافت؟ ای خدا امت‌ها را درغضب خویش بینداز.

So, God, punish them for the wicked things that they are doing; show that you are angry by defeating those people!

۸ 8 تو آوارگیهای مرا تقریر کرده‌ای. اشکهایم را در مشک خود بگذار. آیا این در دفتر تو نیست؟

You have counted [all] the times that I have been wandering alone/distressed; [it is as though] you have put [all] my tears in a bottle [in order that you can see how much I have cried]. [You have counted my tears and written] the number in your book.

۹ 9 آنگاه در روزی که تو رابخوانم دشمنانم روخواهند گردانید. این رامی دانم زیرا خدا با من است.

When I call out to you, [my] God, my enemies will be defeated; I know that will happen, because you are fighting for me.

۱۰ 10 در خدا کلام او را خواهم ستود. درخداوند کلام او را خواهم ستود.

I praise/thank you that you do what you have promised; Yahweh, I [will always] praise you for that [DOU].

۱۱ 11 بر خدا توکل دارم پس نخواهم ترسید. آدمیان به من چه می‌توانند کرد؟

I trust in you, and as a result, I will not be afraid. I know that humans cannot really [RHQ] harm me!

۱۲ 12 ‌ای خدا نذرهای تو بر من است. قربانی های حمد را نزد تو خواهم گذرانید.

I will bring to you the offering that I promised; I will bring an offering to you to thank you,

۱۳ 13 زیرا که جانم را از موت رهانیده‌ای. آیا پایهایم را نیز از لغزیدن نگاه نخواهی داشت تا در نورزندگان به حضور خدا سالک باشم؟

because you have rescued me from being killed; you have kept me from stumbling. As a result, I will continue to live in your presence in the light that [shines on those who are still] alive (OR, in the light that [enables people to] live).
