مزامیر 36

۱ 1 برای سالار مغنیان. مزمور داود بنده خداوند معصیت شریر در اندرون دل من می گوید که ترس خدا در مد نظر اونیست.

`To victorie, to Dauid, `the seruaunt of the Lord. The vniust man seide, that he trespasse in hym silf; the drede of God is not bifor hise iyen.

۲ 2 زیرا خویشتن را در نظر خود تملق می‌گوید تا گناهش ظاهر نشود و مکروه نگردد.

For he dide gilefuli in the siyt of God; that his wickidnesse be foundun to hatrede.

۳ 3 سخنان زبانش شرارت و حیله است. ازدانشمندی و نیکوکاری دست برداشته است.

The wordis of his mouth ben wickidnesse and gile, he nolde vndirstonde to do wel.

۴ 4 شرارت را بر بستر خود تفکر می‌کند. خود را به راه ناپسند قائم کرده، از بدی نفرت ندارد.

He thouyte wickidnesse in his bed, he stood nyy al weie not good; forsothe he hatide not malice.

۵ 5 ‌ای خداوند رحمت تو در آسمانها است وامانت تو تا افلاک.

Lord, thi merci is in heuene; and thi treuthe is `til to cloudis.

۶ 6 عدالت تو مثل کوههای خداست و احکام تو لجه عظیم. ای خداوندانسان و بهایم را نجات می‌دهی.

Thi riytfulnesse is as the hillis of God; thi domes ben myche depthe of watris. Lord, thou schalt saue men and beestis;

۷ 7 ‌ای خدارحمت تو چه ارجمند است. بنی آدم زیر سایه بالهای تو پناه می‌برند.

as thou, God, hast multiplied thi merci. But the sones of men; schulen hope in the hilyng of thi wyngis.

۸ 8 از چربی خانه تو شاداب می‌شوند. از نهر خوشیهای خود ایشان را می نوشانی.

Thei schulen be fillid gretli of the plentee of thin hows; and thou schalt yyue drynke to hem with the steef streem of thi likyng.

۹ 9 زیرا که نزد تو چشمه حیات‌است ودر نور تو نور را خواهیم دید.

For the wel of life is at thee; and in thi liyt we schulen se liyt.

۱۰ 10 رحمت خود رابرای عارفان خود مستدام فرما و عدالت خود رابرای راست دلان.

Lord, sette forth thi mercy to hem, that knowen thee; and thi ryytfulnesse to hem that ben of riytful herte.

۱۱ 11 پای تکبر بر من نیاید و دست شریران مرا گریزان نسازد.

The foot of pryde come not to me; and the hond of the synnere moue me not.

۱۲ 12 در آنجا بدکرداران افتاده‌اند. ایشان انداخته شده‌اند و نمی توانندبرخاست.

There thei felden doun, that worchen wickidnesse; thei ben cast out, and myyten not stonde.
