| مکتوم داود ای خدا مرا محافظت فرما، زیرا برتوتوکل می‌دارم. | ۱ 1 |
Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
| خداوند را گفتم: «توخداوند من هستی. نیکویی من نیست غیر از تو.» | ۲ 2 |
[O my soul], thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou [art] my Lord: my goodness [extendeth] not to thee;
| و اما مقدسانی که در زمین‌اند و فاضلان، تمامی خوشی من در ایشان است. | ۳ 3 |
[But] to the saints that [are] in the earth, and [to] the excellent, in whom [is] all my delight.
| دردهای آنانی که عقب (خدای ) دیگر می‌شتابند، بسیار خواهدشد. هدایای خونی‌ایشان را نخواهم ریخت، بلکه نام ایشان را به زبانم نخواهم آورد. | ۴ 4 |
Their sorrows shall be multiplied [that] hasten [after] another [god: ] their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
| خداوند نصیب قسمت و کاسه من است. توقرعه مرا نگاه می‌داری. | ۵ 5 |
The LORD [is] the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
| خطه های من به‌جایهای خوش افتاد. میراث بهی به من رسیده است. | ۶ 6 |
The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant [places; ] yea, I have a goodly heritage.
| خداوند را که مرا نصیحت نمود، متبارک می‌خوانم. شبانگاه نیز قلبم مرا تنبیه می‌کند. | ۷ 7 |
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
| خداوند را همیشه پیش روی خود می‌دارم. چونکه به‌دست راست من است، جنبش نخواهم خورد. | ۸ 8 |
I have set the LORD always before me: because [he is] at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
| از این‌رو دلم شادی می‌کند و جلالم به وجد می‌آید؛ جسدم نیز در اطمینان ساکن خواهدشد. | ۹ 9 |
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
| زیرا جانم را در عالم اموات ترک نخواهی کرد، و قدوس خود را نخواهی گذاشت که فسادرا بیند. (Sheol h7585) | ۱۰ 10 |
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
| طریق حیات را به من خواهی آموخت. به حضور تو کمال خوشی است و به‌دست راست تو لذت‌ها تا ابدالاباد! | ۱۱ 11 |
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence [is] fulness of joy; at thy right hand [there are] pleasures for evermore.
