مزامیر 14

۱ 1 برای سالار مغنیان. مزمور داود احمق در دل خود می‌گوید که خدایی نیست. کارهای خود را فاسد و مکروه ساخته‌اند و نیکوکاری نیست.

For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; there is none that doeth good.

۲ 2 خداوند ازآسمان بربنی آدم نظر انداخت تا ببیند که آیا فهیم و طالب خدایی هست؟

The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek after God.

۳ 3 همه روگردانیده، با هم فاسد شده‌اند. نیکوکاری نیست یکی هم نی.

They are all gone aside; they are together become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

۴ 4 آیا همه گناهکاران بی‌معرفت هستند که قوم مرا می‌خورند چنانکه نان می‌خورند؟ و خداوندرا نمی خوانند؟

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

۵ 5 آنگاه ترس بر ایشان مستولی شد، زیرا خدادر طبقه عادلان است.

There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

۶ 6 مشورت مسکین را خجل می‌سازید چونکه خداوند ملجای اوست.

Ye put to shame the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.

۷ 7 کاش که نجات اسرائیل از صهیون ظاهرمی شد! چون خداوند اسیری قوم خویش رابرگرداند، یعقوب وجد خواهد نمود و اسرائیل شادمان خواهد گردید.

Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, then shall Jacob rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad.
