مزامیر 137

۱ 1 نزد نهرهای بابل آنجا نشستیم وگریه نیز کردیم، چون صهیون را به یاد آوردیم.

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yes, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

۲ 2 بربطهای خود را آویختیم بردرختان بید که در میان آنها بود.

We hung our harps upon the willows in the midst of it.

۳ 3 زیرا آنانی که مارا به اسیری برده بودند، در آنجا از ما سرودخواستند؛ و آنانی که ما را تاراج کرده بودند، شادمانی (خواستند) که «یکی از سرودهای صهیون را برای ما بسرایید.»

For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us [required of us] mirth, [saying], Sing us [one] of the songs of Zion.

۴ 4 چگونه سرود خداوند را، در زمین بیگانه بخوانیم؟

How shall we sing the LORD'S song in a foreign land?

۵ 5 اگر تو را‌ای اورشلیم فراموش کنم، آنگاه دست راست من فراموش کند.

If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget [her skill].

۶ 6 اگر تو را به یادنیاورم، آنگاه زبانم به کامم بچسبد، اگر اورشلیم رابر همه شادمانی خود ترجیح ندهم.

If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.

۷ 7 ای خداوند، روز اورشلیم را برای بنی ادوم به یادآور، که گفتند: «منهدم سازید، تا بنیادش منهدم سازید!»

Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Raze [it], raze [it], [even] to its foundation.

۸ 8 ‌ای دختر بابل که خراب خواهی شد، خوشابحال آنکه به تو جزا دهد چنانکه تو به ماجزا دادی!

O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy [shall he be], that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.

۹ 9 خوشابحال آنکه اطفال تو را بگیرد وایشان را به صخره‌ها بزند.

Happy [shall he be], that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
