۱ 1 خداوند را محبت می‌نمایم زیرا که آواز من و تضرع مرا شنیده است.

Alleluia. I have loved: therefore, the Lord will heed the voice of my prayer.

۲ 2 زیرا که گوش خود را به من فرا داشته است، پس مدت حیات خود، او را خواهم خواند.

For he has inclined his ear to me. And in my days, I will call upon him.

۳ 3 ریسمان های موت مرا احاطه کرد و تنگیهای هاویه مرا دریافت، تنگی و غم پیدا کردم. (Sheol h7585)

The sorrows of death have surrounded me, and the perils of Hell have found me. I have found tribulation and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)

۴ 4 آنگاه نام خداوند را خواندم. آه‌ای خداوند جان مرارهایی ده!

And so, I called upon the name of the Lord. O Lord, free my soul.

۵ 5 خداوند رئوف و عادل است و خدای ما رحیم است.

Merciful is the Lord, and just. And our God is compassionate.

۶ 6 خداوند ساده دلان را محافظت می‌کند. ذلیل بودم و مرا نجات داد.

The Lord is the keeper of little ones. I was humbled, and he freed me.

۷ 7 ‌ای جان من به آرامی خود برگرد، زیراخداوند به تو احسان نموده است.

Turn again, my soul, to your rest. For the Lord has done good to you.

۸ 8 زیرا که جان مرا از موت خلاصی دادی و چشمانم را از اشک و پایهایم را از لغزیدن.

For he has rescued my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from slipping.

۹ 9 به حضور خداوند سالک خواهم بود، در زمین زندگان.

I will please the Lord in the land of the living.

۱۰ 10 ایمان آوردم پس سخن گفتم. من بسیار مستمند شدم.

Alleluia. I had confidence, because of what I was saying, but then I was greatly humbled.

۱۱ 11 درپریشانی خود گفتم که «جمیع آدمیان دروغ گویند.»

I said in my excess, “Every man is a liar.”

۱۲ 12 خداوند را چه ادا کنم، برای همه احسانهایی که به من نموده است؟

What shall I repay to the Lord, for all the things that he has repaid to me?

۱۳ 13 پیاله نجات را خواهم گرفت و نام خداوند را خواهم خواند.

I will take up the cup of salvation, and I will call upon the name of the Lord.

۱۴ 14 نذرهای خود را به خداوند ادا خواهم کرد، به حضور تمامی قوم او.

I will repay my vows to the Lord, in the sight of all his people.

۱۵ 15 موت مقدسان خداونددر نظر وی گرانبها است.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his holy ones.

۱۶ 16 آه‌ای خداوند، من بنده تو هستم! من بنده تو و پسر کنیز تو هستم. بندهای مرا گشوده‌ای!

O Lord, because I am your servant, your servant and the son of your handmaid, you have broken my bonds.

۱۷ 17 قربانی های تشکر نزدتو خواهم گذرانید و نام خداوند را خواهم خواند.

I will sacrifice to you the sacrifice of praise, and I will invoke the name of the Lord.

۱۸ 18 نذرهای خود را به خداوند ادا خواهم کرد، به حضور تمامی قوم وی،

I will repay my vows to the Lord in the sight of all his people,

۱۹ 19 در صحن های خانه خداوند، در اندرون تو‌ای اورشلیم. هللویاه!

in the courts of the house of the Lord, in your midst, O Jerusalem.
