| کلام لموئیل پادشاه، پیغامی که مادرش به او تعلیم داد. | ۱ 1 |
These are the words of King Lemuel, an oracle, taught to him by his mother.
| چه گویم‌ای پسر من، چه گویم‌ای پسر رحم من! و چه گویم‌ای پسر نذرهای من! | ۲ 2 |
What shall I tell you, my son?—the son I gave birth to, the son given in response to my vows.
| قوت خود را به زنان مده، و نه طریقهای خویش را به آنچه باعث هلاکت پادشاهان است. | ۳ 3 |
Don't waste your strength sleeping with women, those that bring down kings.
| پادشاهان را نمی شاید‌ای لموئیل، پادشاهان را نمی شاید که شراب بنوشند، و نه امیران را که مسکرات را بخواهند. | ۴ 4 |
Lemuel, kings shouldn't be drinking wine, rulers shouldn't be drinking alcohol.
| مبادا بنوشند و فرایض را فراموش کنند، وداوری جمیع ذلیلان را منحرف سازند. | ۵ 5 |
For if they drink, they'll forget what the law says, and pervert the rights of those who are suffering.
| مسکرات را به آنانی که مشرف به هلاکتندبده. و شراب را به تلخ جانان، | ۶ 6 |
Give alcohol to those who are dying, and wine to those who are in terrible distress.
| تا بنوشند و فقر خود را فراموش کنند، ومشقت خویش را دیگر بیاد نیاورند. | ۷ 7 |
Let them drink so they can forget their poverty, and not remember their troubles any longer.
| دهان خود را برای گنگان باز کن، و برای دادرسی جمیع بیچارگان. | ۸ 8 |
Speak up for those who have no voice, for the rights of those marginalized by society.
| دهان خود را باز کرده، به انصاف داوری نما، و فقیر و مسکین را دادرسی فرما. | ۹ 9 |
Speak up and judge fairly; defend the poor and destitute.
| زن صالحه را کیست که پیدا تواند کرد؟ قیمت او از لعلها گرانتر است. | ۱۰ 10 |
Who can find a strong, capable wife? She's worth more than jewels!
| دل شوهرش بر او اعتماد دارد، و محتاج منفعت نخواهد بود. | ۱۱ 11 |
Her husband has complete confidence in her, and with her he'll never be poor.
| برایش تمامی روزهای عمر خود، خوبی خواهد کرد و نه بدی. | ۱۲ 12 |
She brings him good, not evil, all her life.
| پشم و کتان را می‌جوید. و به‌دستهای خودبا رغبت کار می‌کند. | ۱۳ 13 |
She gets wool and flax, and with her eager hands turns them into clothes.
| او مثل کشتیهای تجار است، که خوراک خود را از دور می‌آورد. | ۱۴ 14 |
Like a merchant's ship, she brings food from far away.
| وقتی که هنوز شب است برمی خیزد، و به اهل خانه‌اش خوراک و به کنیزانش حصه ایشان را می دهد. | ۱۵ 15 |
She gets up while it's still dark to make breakfast for her family, and to plan what her servant girls need to do.
| درباره مزرعه فکر کرده، آن را می‌خرد، و ازکسب دستهای خود تاکستان غرس می‌نماید. | ۱۶ 16 |
She looks at a field, and decides to buy it; from the money she's earned she buys a vineyard.
| کمر خود را با قوت می‌بندد، و بازوهای خویش را قوی می‌سازد. | ۱۷ 17 |
She's keen to get ready, and works hard with her strong arms.
| تجارت خود را می‌بیند که نیکو است، وچراغش در شب خاموش نمی شود. | ۱۸ 18 |
She knows that the things she makes are valuable. She keeps busy—her lamp burns late into the night.
| دستهای خود را به دوک دراز می‌کند، وانگشتهایش چرخ را می‌گیرد. | ۱۹ 19 |
She spins the thread and weaves the cloth.
| کفهای خود را برای فقیران مبسوطمی سازد، و دستهای خویش را برای مسکینان دراز می‌نماید. | ۲۰ 20 |
She's generous to the poor, and gives help to the needy.
| به جهت اهل خانه‌اش از برف نمی ترسد، زیرا که جمیع اهل خانه او به اطلس ملبس هستند. | ۲۱ 21 |
She doesn't worry if it snows, because her whole family has warm clothing.
| برای خود اسبابهای زینت می‌سازد. لباسش از کتان نازک و ارغوان می‌باشد. | ۲۲ 22 |
She makes herself bedspreads; she dresses in fine linen and purple clothes.
| شوهرش در دربارها معروف می‌باشد، و در میان مشایخ ولایت می‌نشیند. | ۲۳ 23 |
Her husband is well-respected in the council at the town gates, where he sits with the town elders.
| جامه های کتان ساخته آنها را می‌فروشد، وکمربندها به تاجران می‌دهد. | ۲۴ 24 |
She makes linen clothes for sale, and supplies merchants with belts.
| قوت و عزت، لباس او است، و درباره وقت آینده می‌خندد. | ۲۵ 25 |
She's clothed with strength and dignity, and she is happy about the future.
| دهان خود را به حکمت می‌گشاید، و تعلیم محبت‌آمیز بر زبان وی است. | ۲۶ 26 |
She speaks wise words, and she's kind when she gives instructions.
| به رفتار اهل خانه خود متوجه می‌شود، وخوراک کاهلی نمی خورد. | ۲۷ 27 |
She looks after the needs of her whole household, and she's never idle.
| پسرانش برخاسته، او را خوشحال می‌گویند، و شوهرش نیز او را می‌ستاید. | ۲۸ 28 |
Her children are quick to bless her. Her husband praises her too, saying,
| دختران بسیار اعمال صالحه نمودند، اما توبر جمیع ایشان برتری داری. | ۲۹ 29 |
“Many women do great things, but you are better than all of them!”
| جمال، فریبنده و زیبایی، باطل است، اما زنی که از خداوند می‌ترسد ممدوح خواهدشد. | ۳۰ 30 |
Charm can deceive, and beauty fades, but a woman who honors the Lord should be praised.
| وی را از ثمره دستهایش بدهید و اعمالش او را نزد دروازه‌ها بستاید. | ۳۱ 31 |
Give her the recognition she deserves; praise her publicly for what she's done.
