۱ 1 و خداوند موسی را خطاب کرده، گفت:

And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

۲ 2 «برای خود دو کرنای نقره بساز، آنهارا از چرخکاری درست کن، و آنها را بجهت خواندن جماعت و کوچیدن اردو بکار ببر.

Make thee two trumpets of silver, of beaten work, shalt thou make them, —and they shall be unto thee for calling the assembly, and for setting forward the camps.

۳ 3 وچون آنها را بنوازند تمامی جماعت نزد تو به درخیمه اجتماع جمع شوند.

As soon as they blow therewith, so soon shall all the assembly assemble themselves unto thee, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting.

۴ 4 و چون یکی رابنوازند، سروران و روسای هزاره های اسرائیل نزد تو جمع شوند.

And, if, only once, they blow, then shall the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, gather themselves unto thee.

۵ 5 و چون تیز آهنگ بنوازیدمحله هایی که به طرف مشرق جا دارند، کوچ بکنند.

But when ye blow an alarm, then shall set forward the camps that are encamped eastwards;

۶ 6 و چون مرتبه دوم تیز آهنگ بنوازید، محله هایی که به طرف جنوب جا دارند کوچ کنند؛ بجهت کوچ دادن ایشان تیز آهنگ بنوازند.

and when ye blow a second alarm, then shall set forward the camps that are encamped southwards, —an alarm, shall they blow for setting them forward,

۷ 7 و بجهت جمع کردن جماعت بنوازید، لیکن تیزآهنگ منوازید.

But in calling together the convocation, ye shall blow but shall not sound an alarm.

۸ 8 «و بنی هارون کهنه، کرناها را بنوازند. این برای شما در نسلهای شما فریضه ابدی باشد.

And, the sons of Aaron the priests, shall blow with the trumpets, —and it shall be unto you for a statute age-abiding, unto your generations.

۹ 9 وچون در زمین خود برای مقاتله با دشمنی که برشما تعدی می‌نمایند می‌روید، کرناها را تیزآهنگ بنوازید، پس به حضور یهوه خدای خودبیاد آورده خواهید شد، و از دشمنان خود نجات خواهید یافت.

And when ye go into war in your land against the assailant that assaileth you, then shall ye blow an alarm with the trumpets, —and bring yourselves to mind before Yahweh your God, and be saved, from your enemies,

۱۰ 10 و در روز شادی خود و درعیدها و در اول ماه های خود کرناها را برقربانی های سوختنی و ذبایح سلامتی خودبنوازید، تا برای شما به حضور خدای شمایادگاری باشد. من یهوه خدای شما هستم.»

And in your day of rejoicing and in your appointed seasons and in the beginnings of your months, then shall ye blow with the trumpets, over your ascending-sacrifices, and over your peace-offerings, —so shall they be unto you for a memorial before your God. I—Yahweh, am your God.

۱۱ 11 و واقع شد در روز بیستم ماه دوم سال دوم که ابر از بالای خیمه شهادت برداشته شد،

And so it came to pass in the second year, in the second month on the twentieth of the month, that the cloud lifted itself up, from off the habitation of the testimony;

۱۲ 12 وبنی‌اسرائیل به مراحل خود از صحرای سینا کوچ کردند، و ابر در صحرای فاران ساکن شد،

and the sons of Israel set forward by their removals from the desert of Sinai, and then the cloud abode in the desert of Paran.

۱۳ 13 وایشان اول به فرمان خداوند به واسطه موسی کوچ کردند.

Thus then did they set forward for the first time, —at the bidding of Yahweh, by the hand of Moses.

۱۴ 14 و علم محله بنی یهودا، اول با افواج ایشان روانه شد، و بر فوج او نحشون بن عمیناداب بود.

So the standard of the camp of the sons of Judah set forward first, by their hosts, and over his own host, was Nahshon, son of Amminadab;

۱۵ 15 و بر فوج سبط بنی یساکار، نتنائیل بن صوغر.

and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, Nethanel, son of Zuar;

۱۶ 16 و بر فوج سبط بنی زبولون، الیاب بن حیلون.

and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, Eliab, son of Helon.

۱۷ 17 پس مسکن را پایین آوردند و بنی جرشون وبنی مراری که حاملان مسکن بودند، کوچ کردند.

Then was taken down the habitation, —and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward bearing the habitation.

۱۸ 18 و علم محله روبین با افواج ایشان روانه شد، و بر فوج او الیصور بن شدیئور بود.

Then set forward the standard of the camp of Reuben, by their hosts, —and over his own host, Elizur, son of Shedeur;

۱۹ 19 و بر فوج سبط بنی شمعون، شلومیئیل بن صوریشدای.

and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shelumiel, son of Zurishaddai;

۲۰ 20 و بر فوج سبط بنی جاد، الیاساف بن دعوئیل.

and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Gad, Eliasaph, son of Deuel.

۲۱ 21 پس قهاتیان که حاملان قدس بودند، کوچ کردند و پیش از رسیدن ایشان، آنها مسکن را برپاداشتند.

Then set forward the Kohathites, bearing the sanctuary, —and so the habitation was reared by the time they came in.

۲۲ 22 پس علم محله بنی افرایم با افواج ایشان روانه شد، و بر فوج او الیشمع بن عمیهود بود.

Then set forward the standard of the camp of the sons of Ephraim by their hosts, —and over his own host, was Elishama son of Ammihud;

۲۳ 23 و بر فوج سبط بنی منسی، جملیئیل بن فدهصور.

and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, Gamaliel, son of Pedahzur;

۲۴ 24 و بر فوج سبط بنی بنیامین، ابیدان بن جدعونی.

and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, Abidan, son of Gideoni.

۲۵ 25 پس علم محله بنی دان که موخر همه محله‌ها بود با افواج ایشان روانه شد، و بر فوج اواخیعزر بن عمیشدای بود.

Then set forward the standard of the camp of the sons of Dan, bringing up the rear of all the camps, by their hosts, —and over his own host, Ahiezur, son of Ammishaddai;

۲۶ 26 و بر فوج سبطبنی اشیر، فجعیئیل بن عکران.

and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Asher, Pagiel, son of Ochran;

۲۷ 27 و بر فوج سبطبنی نفتالی، اخیرع بن عینان.

and, over the host of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, Ahira, son of Enan.

۲۸ 28 این بود مراحل بنی‌اسرائیل با افواج ایشان. پس کوچ کردند.

These, were the settings-forward of the sons of Israel by their hosts, —thus did they set forward.

۲۹ 29 و موسی به حوباب بن رعوئیل مدیانی که برادرزن موسی بود، گفت: «ما به مکانی که خداوند درباره آن گفته است که آن را به شماخواهم بخشید کوچ می‌کنیم، همراه ما بیا و بتواحسان خواهیم نمود، چونکه خداوند درباره اسرائیل نیکو گفته است.»

Then said Moses to Hobab, son of Raguel the Midianite, father-in-law of Moses: Setting forward, are we unto the place of which Yahweh hath said, The same, will I give unto you, —Oh come with us and we will do thee good, for, Yahweh, hath spoken good, concerning Israel.

۳۰ 30 او وی را گفت: «نمی آیم، بلکه به زمین و به خاندان خود خواهم رفت.»

And he said unto him, I will not go, —but unto my own land, and unto my own kindred, will I go.

۳۱ 31 گفت: «ما را ترک مکن زیرا چونکه تو منازل ما را در صحرا می‌دانی، بجهت ما مثل چشم خواهی بود.

Then said he: I beseech thee, do not forsake us, —for, on this account, hast thou come to know of our encamping in the desert, so shalt thou be unto us as eyes;

۳۲ 32 و اگر همراه ما بیایی، هر احسانی که خداوند بر ما بنماید، همان را بر تو خواهیم نمود.»

and it shall be if thou wilt go with us, —yea it shall be that with the very good wherewith Yahweh shall do us good, will we do good unto thee.

۳۳ 33 و از کوه خداوند سفر سه روزه کوچ کردند، و تابوت عهد خداوند سفر سه روزه پیش روی ایشان رفت تا آرامگاهی برای ایشان بطلبد.

So then they went forward, from the mountain of Yahweh, a journey of three days, —and the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, was going before them a journey of three days, to search out for them a resting-place,

۳۴ 34 و ابر خداوند در روز بالای سر ایشان بود، و وقتی که از لشکرگاه روانه می‌شدند.

And the cloud of Yahweh, was over them by day, —when they set forward out of the camp.

۳۵ 35 و چون تابوت روانه می‌شد، موسی می‌گفت: «ای خداوند برخیز و دشمنانت پراکنده شوند و مبغضانت از حضور تو منهزم گردند.»

And it came to pass when the ark set forward, that Moses said: Arise, O Yahweh! and scattered be thy foes, Let them that hate thee flee before thee;

۳۶ 36 و چون فرود می‌آمد، می‌گفت: «ای خداوند نزد هزاران هزار اسرائیل رجوع نما.»

But when it rested, he said, —Return, O Yahweh! unto the myriads of the thousands of Israel.
