میکا 2

۱ 1 وای بر آنانی که بر بسترهای خود ظلم راتدبیر می‌نمایند و مرتکب شرارت می شوند. در روشنایی صبح آن را بجا می‌آورند، چونکه در قوت دست ایشان است.

Alas for them who devise iniquity and work wickedness upon their beds, —in the light of the morning, they will execute it, for it is in the power of their hand.

۲ 2 بر زمینهاطمع می‌ورزند و آنها را غصب می‌نمایند و برخانه‌ها نیز و آنها را می‌گیرند و بر مرد و خانه‌اش وشخص و میراثش ظلم می‌نمایند.

Thus do they covet fields and seize them, and houses and take them away, —and so they oppress the master and his household, the man and his inheritance.

۳ 3 بنابراین خداوند چنین می‌گوید: هان من بر این قبیله بلایی را تدبیر می‌نمایم که شما گردن خود را از آن نتوانید بیرون آورد و متکبرانه نخواهید خرامیدزیرا که آن زمان زمان بد است.

Therefore, —Thus, saith Yahweh, Behold me! devising, against this family, a calamity, —from which ye shall not remove your neck, neither shall ye walk loftily, for, a time of calamity, shall it be.

۴ 4 در آن روز بر شمامثل خواهند زد و مرثیه سوزناک خواهند خواندو خواهند گفت بالکل هلاک شده‌ایم. نصیب قوم مرا به دیگران داده است. چگونه آن را از من دورمی کند و زمینهای مرا به مرتدان تقسیم می‌نماید.

In that day, shall one take up against you a by-word, and lament a lamentable lamentation, saying—we are made, utterly desolate, the portion of my people, he passeth to others, —How doth he set me aside! To an apostate, our fields, doth he apportion.

۵ 5 بنابراین برای تو کسی نخواهد بود که ریسمان رابه قرعه در جماعت خداوند بکشد.

Therefore, shalt thou have none to throw a measuring-line by lot, —in the convocation of Yahweh.

۶ 6 ایشان نبوت کرده، می‌گویند نبوت مکنید. اگر به اینها نبوت ننمایند رسوایی دور نخواهدشد.

Do not sputter—So they sputter! They must not sputter as to these things, Must he not put away reproaches?

۷ 7 ‌ای که به خاندان یعقوب مسمی هستی آیاروح خداوند قاصر شده است و آیا اینها اعمال اومی باشد؟ آیا کلام من برای هر‌که به استقامت سالک می‌باشد نیکو نیست؟

O thou who art said to be the house of Jacob, Is the spirit of Yahweh, impatient? Or are, these, his doings? Are not, his words, pleasant to him who is upright in his walk?

۸ 8 لکن قوم من در این‌روزها به دشمنی برخاسته‌اند. شما ردا را از رخت آنانی که به اطمینان می‌گذرند و از جنگ روگردانند می‌کنید.

But, against my people, as an enemy, he setteth himself, from off the robe, they tear away, the cloak, —from such as are passing by with confidence, as men averse from war.

۹ 9 و زنان قوم مرا از خانه های مرغوب ایشان بیرون می‌کنید و زینت مرا ازاطفال ایشان تا به ابد می‌گیرید.

The wives of my people, ye do even drive out, each from the house of her darlings, —from over her children, ye do take away mine ornament, as long as life shall last.

۱۰ 10 برخیزید وبروید زیرا که این آرامگاه شما نیست چونکه نجس شده است. شما را به هلاکت سخت هلاک خواهد ساخت.

Arise ye and depart, for, this, is not the place of rest, —Because it is defiled, it shall make desolate with a desolation that is ruthless.

۱۱ 11 اگر کسی به بطالت و دروغ سالک باشد و کاذبانه گوید که من برای تو درباره شراب و مسکرات نبوت خواهم نمود هرآینه اونبی این قوم خواهد بود.

If there be a man, who goeth after wind, and, falsehood, hath woven, [saying] —I will discourse to thee, concerning wine and strong drink, then shall he become a fountain of discourse unto this people.

۱۲ 12 ‌ای یعقوب، من البته تمامی اهل تو را جمع خواهم نمود و بقیه اسرائیل را فراهم آورده، ایشان را مثل گوسفندان بصره در یک جا خواهم گذاشت. ایشان مثل گله‌ای که در آغل خود باشد، به‌سبب کثرت مردمان غوغا خواهند کرد.

I will, surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee, I will, surely gather, the remnant of Israel, at once, will I make them like sheep in distress, —Like a flock in the midst of its pasture, shall they hum with men,

۱۳ 13 رخنه کننده پیش روی ایشان برآمده است. ایشان رخنه نموده و از دروازه عبور کرده، از آن بیرون رفته‌اند و پادشاه ایشان پیش روی ایشان وخداوند بر سر ایشان پیش رفته است.

One making a breach, hath gone up, before them, they have broken in, and passed through, and, by the gate, have departed, —and their king, hath passed through, before them, with, Yahweh, at their head!
