مرقس 9

۱ 1 و بدیشان گفت: «هرآینه به شما می‌گویم بعضی از ایستادگان در اینجا می‌باشند که تاملکوت خدا را که به قوت می‌آید نبینند، ذائقه موت را نخواهند چشید.»

And he said to them, Truly I say to you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

۲ 2 و بعد از شش روز، عیسی پطرس و یعقوب و یوحنا را برداشته، ایشان را تنها بر فراز کوهی به خلوت برد و هیاتش در نظر ایشان متغیر گشت.

And after six days Jesus takes with him Peter, and James, and John, and leads them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

۳ 3 و لباس او درخشان و چون برف بغایت سفید گردید، چنانکه هیچ گازری بر روی زمین نمی تواند چنان سفید نماید.

And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

۴ 4 و الیاس با موسی بر ایشان ظاهر شده، با عیسی گفتگو می‌کردند.

And there appeared to them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

۵ 5 پس پطرس ملتفت شده، به عیسی گفت: «ای استاد، بودن ما در اینجا نیکو است! پس سه سایبان می‌سازیم، یکی برای تو و دیگری برای موسی و سومی برای الیاس!»

And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

۶ 6 از آنرو که نمی دانست چه بگوید، چونکه هراسان بودند.

For he knew not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

۷ 7 ناگاه ابری بر ایشان سایه انداخت و آوازی از ابردر‌رسید که «این است پسر حبیب من، از اوبشنوید.»

And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

۸ 8 در ساعت گرداگرد خود نگریسته، جزعیسی تنها با خود هیچ‌کس را ندیدند.

And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

۹ 9 و چون از کوه به زیر می‌آمدند، ایشان راقدغن فرمود که تا پسر انسان از مردگان برنخیزد، از آنچه دیده‌اند کسی را خبر ندهند.

And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

۱۰ 10 و این سخن را در خاطر خود نگاه داشته، از یکدیگرسوال می‌کردند که برخاستن از مردگان چه باشد.

And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

۱۱ 11 پس از او استفسار کرده، گفتند: «چرا کاتبان می‌گویند که الیاس باید اول بیاید؟»

And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?

۱۲ 12 او درجواب ایشان گفت که «الیاس البته اول می‌آید وهمه‌چیز را اصلاح می‌نماید و چگونه درباره پسرانسان مکتوب است که می‌باید زحمت بسیارکشد و حقیر شمرده شود.

And he answered and told them, Elias truly comes first, and restores all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nothing.

۱۳ 13 لیکن به شمامی گویم که الیاس هم آمد و با وی آنچه خواستندکردند، چنانچه در حق وی نوشته شده است.»

But I say to you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done to him whatever they listed, as it is written of him.

۱۴ 14 پس چون نزد شاگردان خود رسید، جمعی کثیر گرد ایشان دید و بعضی از کاتبان را که باایشان مباحثه می‌کردند.

And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.

۱۵ 15 در ساعت، تمامی خلق چون او را بدیدند در حیرت افتادند و دوان دوان آمده، او را سلام دادند.

And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.

۱۶ 16 آنگاه از کاتبان پرسید که «با اینها چه مباحثه دارید؟»

And he asked the scribes, What question you with them?

۱۷ 17 یکی ازآن میان در جواب گفت: «ای استاد، پسر خود رانزد تو آوردم که روحی گنگ دارد،

And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought to you my son, which has a dumb spirit;

۱۸ 18 و هر جا که او را بگیرد می‌اندازدش، چنانچه کف برآورده، دندانهایم بهم می‌ساید و خشک می‌گردد. پس شاگردان تو را گفتم که او را بیرون کنند، نتوانستند.»

And wherever he takes him, he tears him: and he foams, and gnashes with his teeth, and pines away: and I spoke to your disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.

۱۹ 19 او ایشان را جواب داده، گفت: «ای فرقه بی‌ایمان تا کی با شما باشم و تا چه حدمتحمل شما شوم! او را نزد من آورید.»

He answers him, and says, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him to me.

۲۰ 20 پس اورا نزد وی آوردند. چون او را دید، فور آن روح او را مصروع کرد تا بر زمین افتاده، کف برآورد وغلطان شد.

And they brought him to him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

۲۱ 21 پس از پدر وی پرسید: «چند وقت است که او را این حالت است؟» گفت: «ازطفولیت.

And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came to him? And he said, Of a child.

۲۲ 22 و بارها او را در آتش و در آب انداخت تا او را هلاک کند. حال اگر می‌توانی بر ماترحم کرده، ما را مدد فرما.»

And often it has cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if you can do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

۲۳ 23 عیسی وی راگفت: «اگر می‌توانی‌ایمان آری، مومن را همه‌چیزممکن است.»

Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.

۲۴ 24 در ساعت پدر طفل فریادبرآورده، گریه‌کنان گفت: «ایمان می‌آورم‌ای خداوند، بی‌ایمانی مرا امداد فرما.»

And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help you my unbelief.

۲۵ 25 چون عیسی دید که گروهی گرد او به شتاب می‌آیند، روح پلید را نهیب داده، به وی فرمود: «ای روح گنگ و کر من تو را حکم می‌کنم از او در آی ودیگر داخل او مشو!»

When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying to him, You dumb and deaf spirit, I charge you, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

۲۶ 26 پس صیحه زده و او رابشدت مصروع نموده، بیرون آمد و مانند مرده گشت، چنانکه بسیاری گفتند که فوت شد.

And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; so that many said, He is dead.

۲۷ 27 اما عیسی دستش را گرفته، برخیزانیدش که برپاایستاد.

But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

۲۸ 28 و چون به خانه در‌آمد، شاگردانش درخلوت از او پرسیدند: «چرا ما نتوانستیم او رابیرون کنیم؟»

And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

۲۹ 29 ایشان را گفت: «این جنس به هیچ وجه بیرون نمی رود جز به دعا.»

And he said to them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

۳۰ 30 و از آنجا روانه شده، در جلیل می‌گشتند ونمی خواست کسی او را بشناسد،

And they departed there, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.

۳۱ 31 زیرا که شاگردان خود را اعلام فرموده، می‌گفت: «پسرانسان به‌دست مردم تسلیم می‌شود و او راخواهند کشت و بعد از مقتول شدن، روز سوم خواهد برخاست.»

For he taught his disciples, and said to them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

۳۲ 32 اما این سخن را درک نکردند و ترسیدند که از او بپرسند.

But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.

۳۳ 33 و وارد کفرناحوم شده، چون به خانه درآمد، از ایشان پرسید که «در بین راه با یک دیگرچه مباحثه می‌کردید؟»

And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that you disputed among yourselves by the way?

۳۴ 34 اما ایشان خاموش ماندند، از آنجا که در راه با یکدیگر گفتگومی کردند در اینکه کیست بزرگتر.

But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.

۳۵ 35 پس نشسته، آن دوازده را طلبیده، بدیشان گفت: «هر‌که می‌خواهد مقدم باشد موخر و غلام همه بود.

And he sat down, and called the twelve, and says to them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

۳۶ 36 پس طفلی را برداشته، در میان ایشان بر پا نمودو او را در آغوش کشیده، به ایشان گفت:

And he took a child, and set him in the middle of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said to them,

۳۷ 37 «هرکه یکی از این کودکان را به اسم من قبول کند، مراقبول کرده است و هر‌که مرا پذیرفت نه مرا بلکه فرستنده مرا پذیرفته باشد.

Whoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receives me: and whoever shall receive me, receives not me, but him that sent me.

۳۸ 38 آنگاه یوحنا ملتفت شده، بدو گفت: «ای استاد، شخصی را دیدیم که به نام تو دیوها بیرون می‌کرد و متابعت ما نمی نمود؛ و چون متابعت مانمی کرد، او را ممانعت نمودیم.»

And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in your name, and he follows not us: and we forbade him, because he follows not us.

۳۹ 39 عیسی گفت: «او را منع مکنید، زیرا هیچ‌کس نیست که معجزه‌ای به نام من بنماید و بتواند به زودی درحق من بد گوید.

But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

۴۰ 40 زیرا هر‌که ضد ما نیست باماست.

For he that is not against us is on our part.

۴۱ 41 و هر‌که شما را از این‌رو که از آن مسیح هستید، کاسه‌ای آب به اسم من بنوشاند، هرآینه به شما می‌گویم اجر خود را ضایع نخواهد کرد.

For whoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you belong to Christ, truly I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.

۴۲ 42 و هر‌که یکی از این کودکان را که به من ایمان آورند، لغزش دهد، او را بهتر است که سنگ آسیایی بر گردنش آویخته، در دریا افکنده شود.

And whoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

۴۳ 43 پس هرگاه دستت تو را بلغزاند، آن را ببرزیرا تو را بهتر است که شل داخل حیات شوی، ازاینکه با دو دست وارد جهنم گردی، در آتشی که خاموشی نپذیرد؛ (Geenna g1067)

And if your hand offend you, cut it off: it is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: (Geenna g1067)

۴۴ 44 جایی که کرم ایشان نمیرد وآتش، خاموشی نپذیرد.

Where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.

۴۵ 45 و هرگاه پایت تو رابلغزاند، قطعش کن زیرا تو را مفیدتر است که لنگ داخل حیات شوی از آنکه با دو پا به جهنم افکنده شوی، در آتشی که خاموشی نپذیرد؛ (Geenna g1067)

And if your foot offend you, cut it off: it is better for you to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: (Geenna g1067)

۴۶ 46 آنجایی که کرم ایشان نمیرد و آتش، خاموش نشود.

Where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.

۴۷ 47 و هر گاه چشم تو تو را لغزش دهد، قلعش کن زیرا تو را بهتر است که با یک چشم داخل ملکوت خدا شوی، از آنکه با دو چشم درآتش جهنم انداخته شوی، (Geenna g1067)

And if your eye offend you, pluck it out: it is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: (Geenna g1067)

۴۸ 48 جایی که کرم ایشان نمیرد و آتش خاموشی نیابد.

Where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.

۴۹ 49 زیرا هرکس به آتش، نمکین خواهد شد و هر قربانی به نمک، نمکین می‌گردد.

For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

۵۰ 50 نمک نیکو است، لیکن هر گاه نمک فاسد گردد به چه چیز آن را اصلاح می‌کنید؟ پس در خود نمک بدارید و با یکدیگرصلح نمایید.»

Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltiness, with which will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
