ملاکی 3

۱ 1 اینک من رسول خود را خواهم فرستاد و اوطریق را پیش روی من مهیا خواهد ساخت و خداوندی که شما طالب او می‌باشید، ناگهان به هیکل خود خواهد آمد، یعنی آن رسول عهدی که شما از او مسرور می‌باشید. هان او می‌آید! قول یهوه صبایوت این است.

Behold me! sending my messenger, who will prepare a way before me, — and, suddenly, shall come to his temple The Lord whom ye are seeking, even the messenger of the covenant in whom ye are delighting, Lo! he cometh! saith Yahweh of hosts.

۲ 2 اما کیست که روزآمدن او را متحمل تواند شد؟ و کیست که در حین ظهور وی تواند ایستاد؟ زیرا که او مثل آتش قالگر و مانند صابون گازران خواهد بود.

But who may endure the day of his coming? And who is he that can stand when he appeareth? For he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ alkali;

۳ 3 و مثل قالگر و مصفی کننده نقره خواهد نشست وبنی لاوی را طاهر ساخته، ایشان را مانند طلا ونقره مصفی خواهد گردانید تا ایشان هدیه‌ای برای خداوند به عدالت بگذرانند.

Therefore will he sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and will purify the sons of Levi, and will smelt them, as gold and as silver; so shall they belong to Yahweh, offering a gift in righteousness.

۴ 4 آنگاه هدیه یهودا واورشلیم پسندیده خداوند خواهد شد چنانکه درایام قدیم و سالهای پیشین می‌بود.

Then shall the gift of Judah and Jerusalem, be pleasant to Yahweh, —as in the days of age-past times, and as in the ancient years.

۵ 5 و من برای داوری نزد شما خواهم آمد و به ضد جادوگران وزناکاران و آنانی که قسم دروغ می‌خورند و کسانی که بر مزدور در مزدش و بیوه‌زنان و یتیمان ظلم می‌نمایند و غریب را از حق خودش دورمی سازند و از من نمی ترسند، بزودی شهادت خواهم داد. قول یهوه صبایوت این است.

Therefore will I draw near unto you for judgment, and will become a swift witness against the mutterers of incantations, and against the adulterers, and against them that swear to a falsehood, —and against them who rob the hire of the hireling, the widow and the fatherless, and that drive away the sojourner, and do not revere me, saith Yahweh of hosts.

۶ 6 زیرامن که یهوه می‌باشم، تبدیل نمی پذیرم و از این سبب شما‌ای پسران یعقوب هلاک نمی شوید.

Because, I, Yahweh, have not changed, therefore, ye, the sons of Jacob, have not been utterly consumed.

۷ 7 شما از ایام پدران خود از فرایض من تجاوزنموده، آنها را نگاه نداشته‌اید. اما یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید: بسوی من بازگشت نمایید و من بسوی شما بازگشت خواهم کرد، اما شما می‌گویید به چه چیز بازگشت نماییم.

From the days of your fathers, have ye departed from my statutes, and not observed them, Return ye unto me, that I may return unto you, saith Yahweh of hosts. And yet ye say, Wherein shall we return?

۸ 8 آیا انسان خدا را گول زند؟ اما شما مرا گول زده‌اید و می‌گویید در چه چیز تو را گول زده‌ایم؟ در عشرها و هدایا.

Will, a son of earth, defraud, God? Nevertheless, ye, have been defrauding me, and yet ye say, Wherein have we defrauded thee? In the tithe and the offering.

۹ 9 شماسخت ملعون شده‌اید زیرا که شما یعنی تمامی این امت مرا گول زده‌اید.

With a curse, have ye been cursing, and yet, me, have ye been defrauding, — the whole nation.

۱۰ 10 تمامی عشرها را به مخزنهای من بیاورید تا در خانه من خوراک باشدو یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید مرا به اینطور امتحان نمایید که آیا روزنه های آسمان را برای شمانخواهم گشاد و چنان برکتی بر شما نخواهم ریخت که گنجایش آن نخواهد بود؟

Bring ye all the tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, Yea, I pray you, put me to the proof hereby, saith Yahweh of hosts, whether I will not open to you the sluices of the heavens, and pour out for you blessing, until there be no room.

۱۱ 11 و یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید: خورنده را به جهت شما منع خواهم نمود تا ثمرات زمین شما را ضایع نسازد و مو شما در صحرا بی‌بار نشود.

Then will I rebuke, for you, the devourer that he spoil not, for you, the fruit of the ground, — neither shall the vine in the field, be barren to you, saith Yahweh of hosts.

۱۲ 12 و همه امت هاشما را خوشحال خواهند خواند زیرا یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید که شما زمین مرغوب خواهیدبود.

So shall all the nations, pronounce you happy, —for, ye, shall become, a land of delight, saith Yahweh of hosts.

۱۳ 13 خداوند می‌گوید: به ضد من سخنان سخت گفته‌اید و می‌گویید به ضد تو چه گفته‌ایم؟

Stout against me, have been your words, saith Yahweh, —and yet ye say, What have we spoken, one to another, against thee?

۱۴ 14 گفته‌اید: بی‌فایده است که خدا را عبادت نماییم و چه سود از اینکه اوامر او را نگاه داریم وبحضور یهوه صبایوت با حزن سلوک نماییم؟

Ye have said, Vain is it to serve God, —and, What profit when we have kept his charge, or when we have walked gloomily before Yahweh of hosts?

۱۵ 15 و حال متکبران را سعادتمند می‌خوانیم وبدکاران نیز فیروز می‌شوند و ایشان خدا راامتحان می‌کنند و (معهذا) ناجی می‌گردند.

Now, therefore, we are pronouncing happy—the proud, —and, the doers of lawlessness have, even been built up, and, they who have put God to the proof, have even been delivered.

۱۶ 16 آنگاه ترسندگان خداوند با یکدیگر مکالمه کردند و خداوند گوش گرفته، ایشان را استماع نمود و کتاب یادگاری به جهت ترسندگان خداوند و به جهت آنانی که اسم او را عزیزداشتند مکتوب شد.

Then, they who revered Yahweh, conversed, one with another, —and Yahweh hearkened, and heard, and there was written a book of remembrance before him, for them who revered Yahweh, and for such as thought of his Name.

۱۷ 17 و یهوه صبایوت می‌گویدکه ایشان در آن روزی که من تعیین نموده‌ام، ملک خاص من خواهند بود و بر ایشان ترحم خواهم نمود، چنانکه کسی بر پسرش که او راخدمت می‌کند ترحم می‌نماید.

Therefore shall they be mine, saith Yahweh of hosts, in the day for which, I, am preparing treasure, —and I will deal tenderly with them, just as a man, dealeth tenderly, with his own son who is serving him.

۱۸ 18 و شمابرگشته، در میان عادلان و شریران و در میان کسانی که خدا را خدمت می‌نمایند و کسانی که او را خدمت نمی نمایند، تشخیص خواهید نمود.

So shall ye return, and see the difference, between the righteous and the lawless, —between him that serveth God, and him that serveth him not.
