ملاکی 2

۱ 1 و الان‌ای کاهنان این وصیت برای شما است!

And now, O ye Priests, this commandement is for you.

۲ 2 یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید که اگرنشنوید و آن را در دل خود جا ندهید تا اسم مراتمجید نمایید، من بر شما لعن خواهم فرستاد و بربرکات شما لعن خواهم کرد، بلکه آنها را لعن کرده‌ام چونکه آن را در دل خود جا ندادید.

If yee will not heare it, nor consider it in your heart, to giue glory vnto my Name, sayth the Lord of hostes, I will euen sende a curse vpon you, and will curse your blessings: yea, I haue cursed them alreadie, because yee doe not consider it in your heart.

۳ 3 اینک من زراعت را به‌سبب شما نهیب خواهم نمود و بر رویهای شما سرگین یعنی سرگین عیدهای شما را خواهم پاشید و شما را با آن خواهند برداشت.

Behold, I wil corrupt your seede, and cast dongue vpon your faces, euen the dongue of your solemne feastes, and you shall be like vnto it.

۴ 4 و خواهید دانست که من این وصیت را بر شما فرستاده‌ام تا عهد من با لاوی باشد. قول یهوه صبایوت این است.

And yee shall know, that I haue sent this commandement vnto you, that my couenant, which I made with Leui, might stand, sayeth the Lord of hostes.

۵ 5 عهد من باوی عهد حیات و سلامتی می‌بود و آنها را به‌سبب ترسی که از من می‌داشت به وی دادم و به‌سبب آنکه از اسم من هراسان می‌بود.

My couenant was with him of life and peace, and I gaue him feare, and he feared mee, and was afraid before my Name.

۶ 6 شریعت حق در دهان او می‌بود و بی‌انصافی بر لبهایش یافت نمی شد بلکه در سلامتی و استقامت با من سلوک می‌نمود و بسیاری را از گناه برمی گردانید.

The lawe of trueth was in his mouth, and there was no iniquitie founde in his lippes: hee walked with me in peace and equitie, and did turne many away from iniquitie.

۷ 7 زیرا که لبهای کاهن می‌باید معرفت را حفظنماید تا شریعت را از دهانش بطلبند چونکه اورسول یهوه صبایوت می‌باشد.

For the Priestes lippes shoulde preserue knowledge, and they shoulde seeke the Lawe at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hostes.

۸ 8 اما یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید که شما از طریق تجاوز نموده، بسیاری را در شریعت لغزش دادید و عهد لاوی را شکستید.

But yee are gone out of the way: yee haue caused many to fall by the Lawe: yee haue broken the couenant of Leui, sayeth the Lord of hostes.

۹ 9 بنابراین من نیز شما را نزد تمامی این قوم خوار و پست خواهم ساخت زیرا که طریق مرا نگاه نداشته و در اجرای شریعت طرفداری نموده‌اید.

Therefore haue I also made you to be despised, and vile before all the people, because yee kept not my wayes, but haue beene partiall in the Lawe.

۱۰ 10 آیا جمیع ما را یک پدر نیست و آیا یک خدا ما را نیافریده است؟ پس چرا عهد پدران خود را بی‌حرمت نموده، با یکدیگر خیانت می‌ورزیم؟

Haue we not all one father? hath not one God made vs? why doe we transgresse euery one against his brother, and breake the couenant of our fathers?

۱۱ 11 یهودا خیانت ورزیده است ورجاسات را در اسرائیل و اورشلیم بعمل آورده‌اند زیرا که یهودا مقدس خداوند را که او آن را دوست می‌داشت بی‌حرمت نموده، دخترخدای بیگانه را به زنی گرفته است.

Iudah hath transgressed, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Ierusalem: for Iudah hath defiled the holinesse of the Lord, which hee loued, and hath maried the daughter of a strange God.

۱۲ 12 پس خداوند هر کس را که چنین عمل نماید، هم خواننده و هم جواب دهنده را از خیمه های یعقوب منقطع خواهد ساخت و هر کس را نیز که برای یهوه صبایوت هدیه بگذراند.

The Lord will cut off the man that doeth this: both the master and the seruaunt out of the Tabernacle of Iaacob, and him that offereth an offering vnto the Lord of hostes.

۱۳ 13 و این را نیزبار دیگر بعمل آورده‌اید که مذبح خداوند را بااشکها و گریه و ناله پوشانیده‌اید و از این جهت هدیه را باز منظور نمی دارد و آن را از دست شمامقبول نمی فرماید.

And this haue ye done againe, and couered the altar of the Lord with teares, with weeping and with mourning: because the offering is no more regarded, neither receiued acceptably at your handes.

۱۴ 14 اما شما می‌گویید سبب این چیست؟ سبب این است که خداوند در میان تو وزوجه جوانی ات شاهد بوده است و تو به وی خیانت ورزیده‌ای، با آنکه او یار تو و زوجه هم عهد تو می‌بود.

Yet yee say, Wherein? Because the Lord hath beene witnesse betweene thee and the wife of thy youth, against whome thou hast transgressed: yet is shee thy companion, and the wife of thy couenant.

۱۵ 15 و آیا او یکی را نیافرید با آنکه بقیه روح را می‌داشت و ازچه سبب یک را (فقطآفرید)؟ از این جهت که ذریت الهی را طلب می‌کرد. پس از روحهای خود باحذر باشید وزنهار احدی به زوجه جوانی خود خیانت نورزد.

And did not hee make one? yet had hee abundance of spirit: and wherefore one? because he sought a godly seede: therefore keepe your selues in your spirit, and let none trespasse against the wife of his youth.

۱۶ 16 زیرا یهوه خدای اسرائیل می‌گوید که از طلاق نفرت دارم و نیز از اینکه کسی ظلم را به لباس خود بپوشاند. قول یهوه صبایوت این است پس ازروحهای خود با حذر بوده، زنهار خیانت نورزید.

If thou hatest her, put her away, sayeth the Lord God of Israel, yet he couereth the iniurie vnder his garment, saieth the Lord of hosts: therefore keepe your selues in your spirite, and transgresse not.

۱۷ 17 شما خداوند را به سخنان خود خسته نموده‌اید و می‌گویید: چگونه او را خسته نموده‌ایم؟ از اینکه گفته‌اید همه بدکاران به نظرخداوند پسندیده می‌باشند واو از ایشان مسروراست یا اینکه خدایی که داوری کند کجا است؟

Yee haue wearied the Lord with your woordes: yet yee say, Wherein haue we wearied him? When ye say, Euery one that doeth euill, is good in the sight of the Lord, and he deliteth in them. Or where is the God of iudgement?
