لوقا 1

۱ 1 از آنجهت که بسیاری دست خود را درازکردند به سوی تالیف حکایت آن اموری که نزد ما به اتمام رسید،

Given that many have undertaken to set in order a narrative concerning those things that really did take place among us,

۲ 2 چنانچه آنانی که از ابتدانظارگان و خادمان کلام بودند به ما رسانیدند،

just as those who became eyewitnesses, from the beginning, and ministers of the Word delivered them to us,

۳ 3 من نیز مصلحت چنان دیدم که همه را من البدایه به تدقیق در‌پی رفته، به ترتیب به تو بنویسم‌ای تیوفلس عزیز،

it seemed good to me also, most excellent Theophilus, having taken careful note of everything from Above, to write to you with precision and in sequence,

۴ 4 تا صحت آن کلامی که در آن تعلیم یافته‌ای دریابی.

so that you may know the certainty of the things in which you were instructed.

۵ 5 در ایام هیرودیس پادشاه یهودیه، کاهنی زکریا نام از فرقه ابیا بود که زن او از دختران هارون بود و الیصابات نام داشت.

In the days of Herod, the king of Judea, there was a certain priest named Zacharias, of the priestly division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron and her name was Elizabeth.

۶ 6 و هر دو در حضورخدا صالح و به جمیع احکام و فرایض خداوند، بی‌عیب سالک بودند.

They were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.

۷ 7 و ایشان را فرزندی نبودزیرا که الیصابات نازاد بود و هر دو دیرینه سال بودند.

But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren; and they both were well advanced in years.

۸ 8 و واقع شد که چون به نوبت فرقه خود درحضور خدا کهانت می‌کرد،

Now it happened, as he was officiating as priest before God in the order of his division,

۹ 9 حسب عادت کهانت، نوبت او شد که به قدس خداوند درآمده، بخور بسوزاند.

according to the custom of the priesthood, that his lot was to burn incense, upon entering the sanctuary of the Lord;

۱۰ 10 و در وقت بخور، تمام جماعت قوم بیرون عبادت می‌کردند.

and the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense.

۱۱ 11 ناگاه فرشته خداوند به طرف راست مذبح بخور ایستاده، بر وی ظاهر گشت.

Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense;

۱۲ 12 چون زکریااو را دید، در حیرت افتاده، ترس بر او مستولی شد.

and upon seeing him Zacharias was shaken, and a fear fell upon him.

۱۳ 13 فرشته بدو گفت: «ای زکریا ترسان مباش، زیرا که دعای تو مستجاب گردیده است وزوجه ات الیصابات برای تو پسری خواهد زاییدو او را یحیی خواهی نامید.

But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, because your prayer was heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.

۱۴ 14 و تو را خوشی وشادی رخ خواهد نمود و بسیاری از ولادت اومسرور خواهند شد.

And you will have joy and exultation, and many will rejoice over his birth.

۱۵ 15 زیرا که در حضورخداوند بزرگ خواهد بود و شراب و مسکری نخواهد نوشید و از شکم مادر خود، پر ازروح‌القدس خواهد بود.

For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; he must not drink either wine or strong drink; indeed, he will be filled with Holy Spirit already from his mother's womb.

۱۶ 16 و بسیاری ازبنی‌اسرائیل را، به سوی خداوند خدای ایشان خواهد برگردانید.

And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God;

۱۷ 17 و او به روح و قوت الیاس پیش روی وی خواهد خرامید، تا دلهای پدران رابه طرف پسران و نافرمانان را به حکمت عادلان بگرداند تا قومی مستعد برای خدا مهیا سازد.»

in fact he himself will go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of fathers to children’ and the disobedient to the mindset of the righteous, to prepare a people made ready for the Lord.”

۱۸ 18 زکریا به فرشته گفت: «این را چگونه بدانم وحال آنکه من پیر هستم و زوجه‌ام دیرینه سال است؟»

But Zacharias said to the angel: “How can I be sure of this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.”

۱۹ 19 فرشته در جواب وی گفت: «من جبرائیل هستم که در حضور خدا می‌ایستم وفرستاده شدم تا به تو سخن گویم و از این امور تورا مژده دهم.

So in answer the angel said to him: “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God; I was sent to speak to you and bring you this good news.

۲۰ 20 و الحال تا این امور واقع نگردد، گنگ شده یارای حرف زدن نخواهی داشت، زیراسخن های مرا که در وقت خود به وقوع خواهدپیوست، باور نکردی.»

Now look, you will be silent and not able to speak until the day in which these things happen, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time.”

۲۱ 21 و جماعت منتظر زکریامی بودند و از طول توقف او در قدس متعجب شدند.

Now the people were waiting for Zacharias and wondering at his delay in the sanctuary.

۲۲ 22 اما چون بیرون آمده نتوانست با ایشان حرف زند، پس فهمیدند که در قدس رویایی دیده است، پس به سوی ایشان اشاره می‌کرد و ساکت ماند.

But when he came out he was unable to speak to them, and they understood that he had seen a vision in the sanctuary—he kept gesturing to them while remaining mute.

۲۳ 23 و چون ایام خدمت او به اتمام رسید، به خانه خود رفت.

And so, when the days of his service were fulfilled, he took off for home.

۲۴ 24 و بعد از آن روزها، زن او الیصابات حامله شده، مدت پنج ماه خود را پنهان نمود و گفت:

Well after those days his wife Elizabeth became pregnant and stayed in seclusion five months. She kept saying,

۲۵ 25 «به اینطور خداوند به من عمل نمود درروزهایی که مرا منظور داشت، تا ننگ مرا از نظرمردم بردارد.»

“So that's what the Lord has done for me in the days when He concerned Himself to take away my reproach among the people!”

۲۶ 26 و در ماه ششم جبرائیل فرشته از جانب خدا به بلدی از جلیل که ناصره نام داشت، فرستاده شد.

Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town of Galilee named Natsareth,

۲۷ 27 نزد باکره‌ای نامزد مردی مسمی به یوسف از خاندان داود و نام آن باکره مریم بود.

to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; the virgin's name was Mary.

۲۸ 28 پس فرشته نزد او داخل شده، گفت: «سلام برتو‌ای نعمت رسیده، خداوند با توست و تو درمیان زنان مبارک هستی.»

So upon entering where she was the angel said, “Rejoice, recipient of grace, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”

۲۹ 29 چون او را دید، ازسخن او مضطرب شده، متفکر شد که این چه نوع تحیت است.

But upon seeing him she was perplexed at his word and was trying to figure out what sort of greeting it might be.

۳۰ 30 فرشته بدو گفت: «ای مریم ترسان مباش زیرا که نزد خدا نعمت یافته‌ای.

The angel said to her: “Do not be afraid, Mary, because you have found favor with God.

۳۱ 31 واینک حامله شده، پسری خواهی زایید و او راعیسی خواهی نامید.

Now then, you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS.

۳۲ 32 او بزرگ خواهد بود و به پسر حضرت اعلی، مسمی شود، و خداوند خداتخت پدرش داود را بدو عطا خواهد فرمود.

He will be great, and will be called ‘Son of the Most High’; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David,

۳۳ 33 واو بر خاندان یعقوب تا به ابد پادشاهی خواهد کردو سلطنت او را نهایت نخواهد بود.» (aiōn g165)

and He will reign over the house of Jacob into the ages; indeed, of His kingdom there will be no end!” (aiōn g165)

۳۴ 34 مریم به فرشته گفت: «این چگونه می‌شود وحال آنکه مردی را نشناخته‌ام؟»

So Mary said to the angel, “How shall this be, since I do not know a man?”

۳۵ 35 فرشته درجواب وی گفت: «روح‌القدس بر تو خواهد آمد وقوت حضرت اعلی بر تو سایه خواهد افکند، از آنجهت آن مولود مقدس، پسر خدا خوانده خواهد شد.

In answer the angel said to her: “Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will hover over you; precisely for this reason the holy One who is to be born will be called ‘Son of God’!

۳۶ 36 و اینک الیصابات از خویشان تونیز در‌پیری به پسری حامله شده و این ماه ششم است، مر او را که نازاد می‌خواندند.

Furthermore, your relative Elizabeth, she has actually conceived a son in her old age and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren;

۳۷ 37 زیرا نزدخدا هیچ امری محال نیست.»

because any word spoken by God will be possible.”

۳۸ 38 مریم گفت: «اینک کنیز خداوندم. مرا برحسب سخن تو واقع شود.» پس فرشته از نزد او رفت.

So Mary said: “Yes, I am the Lord's slave! Let it happen to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

۳۹ 39 در آن روزها، مریم برخاست و به بلدی ازکوهستان یهودیه بشتاب رفت.

Then Mary quickly got ready and went into the hill country in those days, to a town of Judah,

۴۰ 40 و به خانه زکریادرآمده، به الیصابات سلام کرد.

and entered the house of Zacharias and saluted Elizabeth.

۴۱ 41 و چون الیصابات سلام مریم را شنید، بچه در رحم او به حرکت آمد و الیصابات به روح‌القدس پر شده،

Well it happened that as Elizabeth heard Mary's salutation the babe bounced up and down in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with Holy Spirit.

۴۲ 42 به آواز بلند صدا زده گفت: «تو در میان زنان مبارک هستی و مبارک است ثمره رحم تو.

And she cried out with a great voice and said: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the Fruit of your womb!

۴۳ 43 و ازکجا این به من رسید که مادر خداوند من، به نزد من آید؟

Why am I so favored that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

۴۴ 44 زیرا اینک چون آواز سلام تو گوش زدمن شد، بچه از خوشی در رحم من به حرکت آمد.

Yes indeed, because as the sound of your salutation came into my ears the babe bounced up and down in my womb for joy.

۴۵ 45 و خوشابحال او که ایمان آورد، زیرا که آنچه از جانب خداوند به وی گفته شد، به انجام خواهدرسید.»

Blessed is she who believed, because there will be a fulfillment of the things that have been spoken to her from the Lord.”

۴۶ 46 پس مریم گفت: «جان من خداوند راتمجید می‌کند،

So Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord,

۴۷ 47 و روح من به رهاننده من خدابوجد آمد،

and my spirit has exulted over God my Savior,

۴۸ 48 زیرا بر‌حقارت کنیز خود نظرافکند. زیرا هان از کنون تمامی طبقات مراخوشحال خواهند خواند،

in that He paid attention to the humble station of His slave (f). Yes indeed, because from now on all generations will declare me to be highly favored,

۴۹ 49 زیرا آن قادر، به من کارهای عظیم کرده و نام او قدوس است،

in that the Mighty One did sublime things for me, and Holy is His name.

۵۰ 50 ورحمت او نسلا بعد نسل است. بر آنانی که از او می ترسند.

His mercy is for generations of generations to those fearing Him.

۵۱ 51 به بازوی خود، قدرت را ظاهرفرمود و متکبران را به خیال دل ایشان پراکنده ساخت.

He has done mighty deeds with His arm; He has dispersed the arrogant in the reasoning of their hearts.

۵۲ 52 جباران را از تختها به زیر افکند. وفروتنان را سرافراز گردانید.

He has dethroned rulers and exalted the lowly.

۵۳ 53 گرسنگان را به چیزهای نیکو سیر فرمود و دولتمندان راتهیدست رد نمود.

He has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away empty.

۵۴ 54 بنده خود اسرائیل را یاری کرد، به یادگاری رحمانیت خویش،

He has taken the part of His servant Israel, in remembrance of mercy,

۵۵ 55 چنانکه به اجداد ما گفته بود، به ابراهیم و به ذریت او تاابدالاباد.» (aiōn g165)

just as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his seed while there is an age.” (aiōn g165)

۵۶ 56 و مریم قریب به سه ماه نزد وی ماند. پس به خانه خود مراجعت کرد.

So Mary stayed with her about three months, and returned to her house.

۵۷ 57 اما چون الیصابات را وقت وضع حمل رسید، پسری بزاد.

Now the time for Elizabeth to give birth was completed and she bore a son.

۵۸ 58 و همسایگان و خویشان اوچون شنیدند که خداوند رحمت عظیمی بر وی کرده، با او شادی کردند.

Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had used His great mercy with her, and they rejoiced with her.

۵۹ 59 و واقع شد در روزهشتم چون برای ختنه طفل آمدند، که نام پدرش زکریا را بر او می‌نهادند.

So it was, on the eighth day, that they came to circumcise the child, and they started calling him by the name of his father, Zacharias.

۶۰ 60 اما مادرش ملتفت شده، گفت: «نی بلکه به یحیی نامیده می‌شود.»

His mother reacted and said, “Absolutely not; he shall be called John!”

۶۱ 61 به وی گفتند: «از قبیله تو هیچ‌کس این اسم راندارد.»

So they said to her, “There is no one among your relatives who is called by this name.”

۶۲ 62 پس به پدرش اشاره کردند که «او را چه نام خواهی نهاد؟»

So they started motioning to his father, as to what he would have him called.

۶۳ 63 او تخته‌ای خواسته بنوشت که «نام او یحیی است» و همه متعجب شدند.

Asking for a writing tablet he wrote this: “His name is to be John!” They all marveled.

۶۴ 64 در ساعت، دهان و زبان او باز گشته، به حمدخدا متکلم شد.

Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue freed and he started to speak, blessing God.

۶۵ 65 پس بر تمامی همسایگان ایشان، خوف مستولی گشت و جمیع این وقایع در همه کوهستان یهودیه شهرت یافت.

(Well a fear came on all who lived around them; and all these sayings kept being talked about throughout all the hill country of Judea.

۶۶ 66 و هرکه شنید، در خاطر خود تفکر نموده، گفت: «این چه نوع طفل خواهد بود؟» و دست خداوند با وی می بود.

All who heard kept them in their hearts saying, “What then will this child be?” And the hand of the Lord was with him.)

۶۷ 67 و پدرش زکریا از روح‌القدس پر شده نبوت نموده، گفت:

Now his father Zacharias was filled with Holy Spirit and prophesied saying:

۶۸ 68 «خداوند خدای اسرائیل متبارک باد، زیرا از قوم خود تفقد نموده، برای ایشان فدایی قرار داد.

“Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, because He has visited and provided redemption for His people;

۶۹ 69 و شاخ نجاتی برای مابرافراشت، در خانه بنده خود داود.

and has raised up a horn of deliverance for us in the house of His servant David

۷۰ 70 چنانچه به زبان مقدسین گفت که از بدو عالم انبیای اومی بودند، (aiōn g165)

—just as He spoke through the mouth of His holy prophets from antiquity— (aiōn g165)

۷۱ 71 رهایی از دشمنان ما و از دست آنانی که از ما نفرت دارند،

deliverance from our enemies and out of the hand of all who hate us;

۷۲ 72 تا رحمت را برپدران ما به‌جا آرد و عهد مقدس خود را تذکرفرماید.

to use mercy with our fathers, even to remember His Holy covenant,

۷۳ 73 سوگندی که برای پدر ما ابراهیم یادکرد،

the oath that He swore to our father Abraham;

۷۴ 74 که ما را فیض عطا فرماید، تا از دست دشمنان خود رهایی یافته، او را بی‌خوف عبادت کنیم.

to grant to us (having been rescued from the hand of our enemies) to serve Him without fear,

۷۵ 75 در حضور او به قدوسیت و عدالت، درتمامی روزهای عمر خود.

in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.

۷۶ 76 و تو‌ای طفل نبی حضرت اعلی خوانده خواهی شد، زیرا پیش روی خداوند خواهی خرامید، تا طرق او را مهیاسازی،

And you, child, will be called Prophet of the Most High, because you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways,

۷۷ 77 تا قوم او را معرفت نجات دهی، درآمرزش گناهان ایشان.

to give a knowledge of salvation to His people by the forgiveness of their sins,

۷۸ 78 به احشای رحمت خدای ما که به آن سپیده از عالم اعلی از ما تفقدنمود،

through the merciful compassions of our God, with which the divine Dawn has contemplated us,

۷۹ 79 تا ساکنان در ظلمت و ظل موت را نوردهد. و پایهای ما را به طریق سلامتی هدایت نماید.»

to give light to those who are sitting in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

۸۰ 80 پس طفل نمو کرده، در روح قوی می‌گشت. و تا روز ظهور خود برای اسرائیل، دربیابان بسر می‌برد.

So the child kept growing and being strengthened in spirit, and he stayed in uninhabited areas until the day of his manifestation to Israel.
