داوران 8

۱ 1 و مردان افرایم او را گفتند: «این چه‌کاراست که به ما کرده‌ای که چون برای جنگ مدیان می‌رفتی ما را نخواندی و به سختی با وی منازعت کردند.»

And they said to him [the] man of Ephraim what? [is] the thing this [which] you have done to us to not to summon us that you went to fight against Midian and they quarreled! with him with force.

۲ 2 او به ایشان گفت: «الان من بالنسبه به‌کار شما چه کردم؟ مگر خوشه چینی افرایم از میوه چینی ابیعزر بهتر نیست؟

And he said to them what? have I done now like you ¿ not good [are] [the] gleanings of Ephraim more than [the] grape harvest of Abiezer.

۳ 3 به‌دست شما خدا دو سردار مدیان، یعنی غراب و ذئب راتسلیم نمود و من مثل شما قادر بر چه‌کار بودم؟» پس چون این سخن را گفت، خشم ایشان بروی فرو نشست.

In hand your he has given God [the] commanders of Midian Oreb and Zeeb and what? have I been able to do like you then it relaxed spirit their from on him when said he the word this.

۴ 4 و جدعون با آن سیصد نفر که همراه او بودندبه اردن رسیده، عبور کردند، و اگر‌چه خسته بودند، لیکن تعاقب می‌کردند.

And he came Gideon the Jordan towards [was] passing over he and three hundred the man who [were] with him [were] exhausted and pursuing.

۵ 5 و به اهل سکوت گفت: «تمنا این که چند نان به رفقایم بدهید زیراخسته‌اند، و من زبح و صلمونع، ملوک مدیان راتعاقب می‌کنم.»

And he said to [the] people of Succoth give please round loaves of bread to the people which [is] at feet my for [are] exhausted they and I [am] pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna [the] kings of Midian.

۶ 6 سرداران سکوت به وی گفتند: «مگر دستهای زبح و صلمونع الان در دست تومی باشد تا به لشکر تو نان بدهیم.»

And he said [the] officials of Succoth ¿ [is] [the] hand of Zebah and Zalmunna now in hand your that we will give to army your bread.

۷ 7 جدعون گفت: «پس چون خداوند زبح و صلمونع را به‌دست من تسلیم کرده باشد، آنگاه گوشت شما رابا شوک و خار صحرا خواهم درید.»

And he said Gideon therefore when gives Yahweh Zebah and Zalmunna in hand my and I will thresh flesh your with thorns of the wilderness and with briers.

۸ 8 و از آنجا به فنوعیل برآمده، به ایشان همچنین گفت، و اهل فنوعیل مثل جواب اهل سکوت او را جواب دادند.

And he went up from there Penuel and he spoke to them like this and they answered him [the] men of Penuel just as they had answered [the] men of Succoth.

۹ 9 و به اهل فنوعیل نیز گفت: «وقتی که به سلامت برگردم این برج را منهدم خواهم ساخت.»

And he said also to [the] men of Penuel saying when return I in peace I will tear down the tower this.

۱۰ 10 و زبح و صلمونع در قرقور با لشکر خود به قدر پانزده هزار نفر بودند. تمامی بقیه لشکربنی مشرق این بود، زیرا صد و بیست هزار مردجنگی افتاده بودند.

And Zebah and Zalmunna [were] in Karkor and armies their [were] with them about fif-teen thousand all those [who] remained of all [the] army of [the] people of [the] east and those [who] fell [were] one hundred and twenty thousand man [who] drew [the] sword.

۱۱ 11 و جدعون به راه چادرنشینان به طرف شرقی نوبح و یجبهاه برآمده، لشکر ایشان را شکست داد، زیرا که لشکر مطمئن بودند.

And he went up Gideon [the] way of those [who] dwell in tents from [the] east of Nobah and Jogbehah and he attacked the army and the army it was security.

۱۲ 12 و زبح و صلمونع فرارکردند و ایشان را تعاقب نموده، آن دو ملک مدیان یعنی زبح و صلمونع را گرفت و تمامی لشکرایشان را منهزم ساخت.

And they fled Zebah and Zalmunna and he pursued after them and he captured [the] two - [the] kings of Midian Zebah and Zalmunna and all the army he routed.

۱۳ 13 و جدعون بن یوآش از بالای حارس ازجنگ برگشت.

And he returned Gideon [the] son of Joash from the battle from to [the] ascent of Heres.

۱۴ 14 و جوانی از اهل سکوت راگرفته، از او تفتیش کرد و او برای وی نامهای سرداران سکوت و مشایخ آن را که هفتاد و هفت نفر بودند، نوشت.

And he captured a young man one of [the] men of Succoth and he enquired of him and he wrote down to him [the] officials of Succoth and elders its seventy and seven man.

۱۵ 15 پس نزد اهل سکوت آمده، گفت: «اینک زبح و صلمونع را که درباره ایشان مرا طعنه زده، گفتید مگر دست زبح و صلمونع الان در دست تو است تا به مردان خسته تو نان بدهیم.»

And he came to [the] men of Succoth and he said here! Zebah and Zalmunna whom you taunted me saying ¿ [is] [the] hand of Zebah and Zalmunna now in hand your that we will give to men your weary bread.

۱۶ 16 پس مشایخ شهر و شوک و خارهای صحرا را گرفته، اهل سکوت را به آنها تادیب نمود.

And he took [the] elders of the city and [the] thorns of the wilderness and the briers and he taught with them [the] men of Succoth.

۱۷ 17 و برج فنوعیل را منهدم ساخته، مردان شهر را کشت.

And [the] tower of Penuel he tore down and he killed [the] men of the city.

۱۸ 18 و به زبح و صلمونع گفت: «چگونه مردمانی بودند که در تابور کشتید.» گفتند: «ایشان مثل توبودند، هر یکی شبیه شاهزادگان.»

And he said to Zebah and to Zalmunna where? [are] the men whom you killed at Tabor and they said like you like them one [was] like [the] appearance of [the] sons of the king.

۱۹ 19 گفت: «ایشان برادرانم و پسران مادر من بودند، به خداوند حی قسم اگر ایشان را زنده نگاه می‌داشتید، شما را نمی کشتم.»

And he said [were] brothers my [the] sons of mother my they [by] [the] life of Yahweh if you had let live them not I killed you.

۲۰ 20 و به نخست زاده خود، یتر، گفت: «برخیز و ایشان رابکش.» لیکن آن جوان شمشیر خود را از ترس نکشید چونکه هنوز جوان بود.

And he said to Jether firstborn his arise kill them and not he drew the young man sword his for he was afraid for still he [was] a young man.

۲۱ 21 پس زبح وصلمونع گفتند: «تو برخیز و ما را بکش زیراشجاعت مرد مثل خود اوست.» پس جدعون برخاسته، زبح و صلمونع را بکشت و هلالهایی که بر گردن شتران ایشان بود، گرفت.

And he said Zebah and Zalmunna arise you and fall on us for [is] like the man strength his and he arose Gideon and he killed Zebah and Zalmunna and he took the ornaments which [were] on [the] necks of camels their.

۲۲ 22 پس مردان اسرائیل به جدعون گفتند: «بر ماسلطنت نما، هم پسر تو و پسر پسر تو نیز چونکه ما را از دست مدیان رهانیدی.»

And they said [the] man of Israel to Gideon rule over us both you as well as son your as well as [the] son of son your for you have delivered us from [the] hand of Midian.

۲۳ 23 جدعون درجواب ایشان گفت: «من بر شما سلطنت نخواهم کرد، و پسر من بر شما سلطنت نخواهد کرد، خداوند بر شما سلطنت خواهد نمود.»

And he said to them Gideon not I will rule I over you and not he will rule son my over you Yahweh he will rule over you.

۲۴ 24 وجدعون به ایشان گفت: «یک چیز از شما خواهش دارم که هر یکی از شما گوشواره های غنیمت خود را به من بدهد.» زیرا که گوشواره های طلاداشتند چونکه اسمعیلیان بودند.

And he said to them Gideon let me ask from you a petition and give to me everyone earring of plunder his for earrings of gold [belonged] to them for [were] Ishmaelites they.

۲۵ 25 در جواب گفتند: «البته می‌دهیم». پس ردایی پهن کرده، هریکی گوشواره های غنیمت خود را در آن انداختند.

And they said certainly we will give [them] and they spread out the garment and they threw there towards everyone earring of plunder his.

۲۶ 26 و وزن گوشواره های طلایی که طلبیده بود هزار و هفتصد مثقال طلا بود، سوای آن هلالها و حلقه‌ها و جامه های ارغوانی که برملوک مدیان بود، و سوای گردنبندهایی که برگردن شتران ایشان بود.

And it was [the] weight of [the] earrings of gold which he asked for one thousand and seven hundred gold apart from the ornaments and the pendants and [the] garments of purple that [were] on [the] kings of Midian and apart from the necklaces which [were] on [the] necks of camels their.

۲۷ 27 و جدعون از آنهاایفودی ساخت و آن را در شهر خود عفره برپاداشت، و تمامی اسرائیل به آنجا در عقب آن زناکردند، و آن برای جدعون و خاندان او دام شد.

And he made it Gideon into an ephod and he placed it in city his in Ophrah and they acted as prostitutes all Israel after it there and it became for Gideon and for household his a snare.

۲۸ 28 پس مدیان در حضور بنی‌اسرائیل مغلوب شدند و دیگر سر خود را بلند نکردند، و زمین درایام جدعون چهل سال آرامی یافت.

And it was subdued Midian before [the] people of Israel and not they repeated to lift up head their and it was at peace the land forty year[s] in [the] days of Gideon.

۲۹ 29 و یربعل بن یوآش رفته، در خانه خود ساکن شد.

And he went Jerub-Baal [the] son of Joash and he dwelt in own house his.

۳۰ 30 و جدعون را هفتاد پسر بود که از صلبش بیرون آمده بودند، زیرا زنان بسیار داشت.

And to Gideon they belonged seventy sons [who] came out of thigh his for wives many they belonged to him.

۳۱ 31 وکنیز او که در شکیم بود او نیز برای وی پسری آورد، و او را ابیملک نام نهاد.

And concubine his who [was] in Shechem she bore to him also she a son and he made name his Abimelech.

۳۲ 32 و جدعون بن یوآش پیر و سالخورده شده، مرد، و در قبرپدرش یوآش در عفره ابیعزری دفن شد.

And he died Gideon [the] son of Joash in old age good and he was buried in [the] tomb of Joash father his in Ophrah of [the] Abi-ezrite[s].

۳۳ 33 و واقع شد بعد از وفات جدعون که بنی‌اسرائیل برگشته، در‌پیروی بعلها زنا کردند، وبعل بریت را خدای خود ساختند.

And it was just when he had died Gideon and they turned back [the] people of Israel and they acted as prostitutes after the Baals and they made for themselves Baal-Berith into god.

۳۴ 34 وبنی‌اسرائیل یهوه، خدای خود را که ایشان را ازدست جمیع دشمنان ایشان از هر طرف رهایی داده بود، به یاد نیاوردند.

And not they remembered [the] people of Israel Yahweh God their who delivered them from [the] hand of all enemies their from round about.

۳۵ 35 و با خاندان یربعل جدعون موافق همه احسانی که با بنی‌اسرائیل نموده بود، نیکویی نکردند.

And not they did loyalty with [the] house of Jerub-Baal Gideon according to all the good which he had done with Israel.
