داوران 13

۱ 1 و بنی‌اسرائیل بار دیگر در نظر خداوندشرارت ورزیدند، و خداوند ایشان را به‌دست فلسطینیان چهل سال تسلیم کرد.

And the sons of Israel again did the thing that was wicked in the sight of Yahweh, —so Yahweh delivered them up into the hand of the Philistines, forty years.

۲ 2 و شخصی از صرعه از قبیله دان، مانوح نام بود، و زنش نازاد بوده، نمی زایید.

And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, and, his name, was Manoah; and, his wife, was barren, and had borne no child.

۳ 3 و فرشته خداوند به آن زن ظاهر شده، او را گفت: «اینک توحال نازاد هستی و نزاییده‌ای لیکن حامله شده، پسری خواهی زایید.

And the messenger of Yahweh appeared unto the woman, —and said unto her—Lo! I pray thee, thou, art barren, and hast borne no child, but thou shalt conceive, and shalt bear a son.

۴ 4 و الان باحذر باش و هیچ شراب و مسکری منوش و هیچ‌چیز نجس مخور.

Now, therefore, beware, I pray thee, and do not drink wine or strong drink, —nor eat anything unclean;

۵ 5 زیرا یقین حامله شده، پسری خواهی زایید، واستره بر سرش نخواهد آمد، زیرا آن ولد از رحم مادر خود برای خدا نذیره خواهد بود، و او به رهانیدن اسرائیل از دست فلسطینیان شروع خواهد کرد.»

for lo! thou, art about to conceive and bear a son, and no, razor, shall come on his head, for, one separate unto God, shall the boy be from his birth, —and, he, shall begin to save Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

۶ 6 پس آن زن آمده، شوهر خود را خطاب کرده، گفت: «مرد خدایی نزد من آمد، و منظر اومثل منظر فرشته خدا بسیار مهیب بود. و نپرسیدم که از کجاست و از اسم خود مرا خبر نداد.

So the woman came in, and told her husband, saying, A man of God, came unto me, and, his, appearance, was as the appearance of the messenger of God, reverend exceedingly, —and I asked him not whence he was, and, his name, he told me not.

۷ 7 و به من گفت اینک حامله شده، پسری خواهی زایید، و الان هیچ شراب و مسکری منوش، و هیچ‌چیزنجس مخور زیرا که آن ولد از رحم مادر تا روزوفاتش برای خدا نذیره خواهد بود.»

But he said unto me, Lo! thou art about to conceive, and bear a son, —now, therefore, do not drink wine or strong drink, nor eat anything unclean, for, one separate unto God, shall the boy be, from his birth until the day of his death.

۸ 8 و مانوح از خداوند استدعا نموده، گفت: «آه‌ای خداوند تمنا اینکه آن مرد خدا که فرستادی بار دیگر نزد ما بیاید و ما را تعلیم دهد که با ولدی که مولود خواهد شد، چگونه رفتار نماییم.»

Then Manoah made entreaty unto Yahweh, and said: Pardon, O My Lord! the man of God whom thou didst send, I pray thee, let him come again unto us, that he may teach us what we are to do, unto the boy that is to be born.

۹ 9 و خدا آواز مانوح را شنید و فرشته خدا باردیگر نزد آن زن آمد و او در صحرا نشسته بود، اماشوهرش مانوح نزد وی نبود.

And God hearkened unto the voice of Manoah, —and the messenger of God came again unto the woman, as, she, was sitting in the field, Manoah her husband, not being with her.

۱۰ 10 و آن زن به زودی دویده، شوهر خود را خبر داده، به وی گفت: «اینک آن مرد که در آن روز نزد من آمد، باردیگر ظاهر شده است.»

So the woman made haste, and ran, and told her husband, —and said unto him, Lo! the man, hath appeared unto me, who came the other day unto me.

۱۱ 11 و مانوح برخاسته، در عقب زن خود روانه شد، و نزد آن شخص آمده، وی را گفت: «آیا توآن مرد هستی که با این زن سخن گفتی؟» او گفت: «من هستم.»

Then Manoah arose, and followed his wife, —and came unto the man, and said unto him—Art, thou, the man that spake unto the wife? And he said—I am.

۱۲ 12 مانوح گفت: «کلام تو واقع بشوداما حکم آن ولد و معامله با وی چه خواهد بود؟»

And Manoah said, Now, let thy words come to pass, —What shall be the rule for the boy, and his work?

۱۳ 13 و فرشته خداوند به مانوح گفت: «از هر‌آنچه به زن گفتم اجتناب نماید.

And the messenger of Yahweh said unto Manoah, —Of all that I said unto the woman, let her beware.

۱۴ 14 از هر حاصل مو زنهارنخورد و هیچ شراب و مسکری ننوشد، و هیچ‌چیز نجس نخورد و هر‌آنچه به او امر فرمودم، نگاهدارد.»

Of nothing that cometh of the vine, may she eat, nor wine nor strong drink, let her drink, nor, anything unclean, let her eat, —all that I commanded her, let her observe.

۱۵ 15 و مانوح به فرشته خداوند گفت: «تو راتعویق بیندازیم و برایت گوساله‌ای تهیه بینیم.»

And Manoah said unto the messenger of Yahweh, —I pray thee, let us detain thee, that we may make ready for thy presence, a kid.

۱۶ 16 فرشته خداوند به مانوح گفت: «اگر‌چه مراتعویق اندازی، از نان تو نخواهم خورد، و اگرقربانی سوختنی بگذرانی آن را برای یهوه بگذران.» زیرا مانوح نمی دانست که فرشته خداوند است.

But the messenger of Yahweh said unto Manoah—Though thou detain me, yet will I not eat of thy food, and, though thou make ready an ascending-sacrifice, unto Yahweh, must thou cause it to ascend. For Manoah had not discerned that, the angel of Yahweh, he was.

۱۷ 17 و مانوح به فرشته خداوند گفت: «نام تو چیست تا چون کلام تو واقع شود، تو رااکرام نماییم.»

Then said Manoah unto the messenger of Yahweh, What is thy name, —that, when thy word cometh to pass, we may do thee honour?

۱۸ 18 فرشته خداوند وی را گفت: «چرا درباره اسم من سوال می‌کنی چونکه آن عجیب است.»

And the messenger of Yahweh said unto him, Wherefore is it, that thou shouldst ask after my name, —seeing that, it, is Wonderful?

۱۹ 19 پس مانوح گوساله و هدیه آردی را گرفته، بر آن سنگ برای خداوند گذرانید، و فرشته کاری عجیب کرد و مانوح و زنش می‌دیدند.

So Manoah took the kid, and the meal-offering, and caused them to ascend upon the rock unto Yahweh, who was about to do, wondrously, while Manoah and his wife were looking on.

۲۰ 20 زیراواقع شد که چون شعله آتش از مذبح به سوی آسمان بالا می‌رفت، فرشته خداوند در شعله مذبح صعود نمود، و مانوح و زنش چون دیدند، رو به زمین افتادند.

And it came to pass, when the flame ascended from off the altar, towards the heavens, that the messenger of Yahweh ascended in the flame of the altar, —while Manoah and his wife were looking on. Then fell they on their faces, to the earth.

۲۱ 21 و فرشته خداوند بر مانوح وزنش دیگر ظاهر نشد، پس مانوح دانست که فرشته خداوند بود.

And the messenger of Yahweh did no more appear unto Manoah or unto his wife. Then, Manoah knew that, the messenger of Yahweh, he was.

۲۲ 22 و مانوح به زنش گفت: «البته خواهیم مرد، زیرا خدا را دیدیم.»

And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall, die, —for, upon God, have we looked.

۲۳ 23 امازنش گفت: «اگر خداوند می‌خواست ما را بکشدقربانی سوختنی و هدیه آردی را از دست ما قبول نمی کرد، و همه این چیزها را به ما نشان نمی داد، ودر این وقت مثل این امور را به سمع ما نمی رسانید.»

But his wife said unto him, If Yahweh had been pleased to put us to death, he would not have received at our hand, an ascending-sacrifice and a meal-offering, nor would he have shewed us all these things, —and, at such a time, have let us hear the like of this!

۲۴ 24 و آن زن پسری زاییده، او را شمشون نام نهاد، و پسر نمو کرد و خداوند او را برکت داد.

So the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson, —and the boy grew, and Yahweh blessed him.

۲۵ 25 و روح خداوند در لشکرگاه دان در میان صرعه و اشتاول به برانگیختن او شروع نمود.

And the spirit of Yahweh began to urge him to and fro, in the camp of Dan, —between Zorah and Eshtaol.
